Turbulence (Part II)

"Well, can you go any faster?" asks Cathy as the desperation sounds in her voice.

"Think you can evade them faster than me?"

The road winds and winds, the three cars speeding on the road, tires scraping off the tar road as Davide's car races ahead.

He engages the gearbox again, picking the last gear as he plans to evade the sight of the cops. With acceleration, the car picks up more speed. It propels forward, leaving the chasing cop cars behind as they transform into a blip on his rear-view mirror.

"You should have done that in the first place, not when they already made us," comments Cathy. She feels queasy again, aided by the acceleration of the car and how badly she yearns to puke out the CRI marbles.
