Getting married again wasn't a huge deal.  In fact, it merely added corroboration to something that was already a truth in his heart and soul.

He and Mira had married the day he took her back to his palace in Jade and added her to the family registry. 

Everything became even more cemented when he announced their marriage to his parents and the entire Ashryan community the fateful day that the chiros dive bombed their marriage gala. 

Although he had insisted that he wanted to divorce her, the Gods knew that in this and any other lifetime, she would forever be his only mate.
