Day two

"Guys wake up, we need to leave in 22 minutes"

Sage woke up to the sound of Becca banging on the door. She heard the shower running, so she assumed Melania was showering.

"Sage, Melania? Everyone else is already getting ready."

Becca screamed again

"I'm awake, I'll get ready."

Sage yawned. She slowly got out of bed and knocked on the bathroom door.

"Melania are you nearly done?"

She asked just as the water stopped running.

"Yeah just let me get changed"

Melania said while putting on leggings and a t-shirt. Then she unlocked the door and let Sage in. Sage went in and got herself ready.

25 minutes later they both walked out of their room to see the rest of the group standing outside angrily.

"You guys sure took your time"

Nathaniel pointed out.

"You guys sure took your time"

Melania mocked

"Guys can we just get going, I don't feel like going back."

Beth snarled walking towards the car.

"Who's driving?"

Sage asked

"I'm not, I'm going to sleep, I've had five hours of sleep"

Beth quickly took herself from the answer.

"I'll drive."

Daniel volunteered. And so everyone got into the car. Nathaniel and Becca sat themselves in themselves in the back, Beth sat beside Daniel and the rest sat themselves in the middle.

"So where are we going?"

Daniel asked while starting the car.

"A place called Liberal in Kansas, which will take us 9 hours so at around 3pm, then we'll refill everything and head to a place called Joplin in Missouri which should take us 6 hours so we'll get to our motel at 9pm if we're lucky"

Becca told the group. Daniel had just gone through a drive through and gotten everyone coffee. Beth handed the coffee out to everyone before going to sleep.

"Guys we need to talk about what we are going to do once we arrive in New Hope."

Sage told the group

"What do you mean, like school, money, work around the house?"

Becca asked Melania

"All of it, everything"

"For money we will sell things, Etsy most likely, school we'll do it online under fake names, we'll need to get laptops. Oh by the way, the house, Beth called the real estate agent saying she wants the house and that's all cleared. Don't worry they won't rat us out. For work around the house we'll do it ourselves. I'm sure we will manage. Shopping is to be done online, we won't go into town unless needed. As for social contact if you find a nice person, be friends with them but don't ever tell anyone, I mean anyone your real name. Want to know anything else, we can change them around these are just some stuff I think we can work upon."

Quinn told everyone .

"They seem fine, once we are there we can figure them out and get to know the area."

Becca continued explaining what Quinn was saying.

"What about relationships, romantic relationships?"

Daniel asked

"They're fine, just never tell them your real name and how we got here. I'll get fake IDs for everyone and a story for how we got here."

Melania answered

"Maybe we can say Beths renting out the house"

Sage brought up

"Yeah and we all just met each other. Ok now we need to figure out how and why we are there."

Becca mentioned

"Ooooh I want to have moved there because of college. I'll be doing college online for the most part but sometimes I'll go in, I'm studying history and I'm 18 just out of high school I'm from Italy, because my families from there and I can speak Italian."

Melania excitedly exclaimed

"I'm there because it's a beautiful place for my photography, I'll create an Insta and post photos on there to make it seem real, and I'm from Brazil like my mother."

Becca stated

"I'll be there because my parents met there and fell in love and now I want to find love there. From Ireland."

Sage noted

"I was disowned for being Pregnant and had to run away, found a cheap place to stay in. I'll say I'm from Chicago."

Quinn pitched in

"All my parents died and I wanted a better life, from India and I don't have an accent because I've been to boarding school in the US for most of my life."

Daniel quickly said before going back to focusing on driving

"So many back stories to choose from. I'm from France and I'm here for a year abroad. Maybe even a few I want to experience the US culture and I found the house through my mutual friend Francis who knows Beth."

Nathaniel said in a seemingly perfect French accent.

"You've got a very good French accent."

Melania said in aw

"Well I go to France all the time, I've got family there. When you're from Europe you've probably got family from somewhere else."

Nathaniel explained

"So now just Beth has to think of one, but we've got a lot of time."

Melania declared

"You know we should get to know each other, we know barely anything about each other, but we ran away together and are going to live together, so I'm going to ask a question and everyone will answer, Ok!"

Sage announced

"First off, where are we all from, now I don't mean Beverly Hills I mean family. For example I have family, my dad's side in Ireland. Your guy's turn"

Sage continued

"Do we have to do this"

Nathaniel complained

"Yes"

Sage screamed at Nathaniel

"Oh good, sorry for screaming at you"

Sage apologised

"My mom is from Brazil, I don't know my dad but I know he's from Korea"

Becca began

"My father was an immigrant from Italy."

Melania told the group

"Can't say much, my parents were born and raised in LA."

Quinn chimed in

"My mother and father are Indian, children from immigrants."

Daniel put in. Ever stared at Nathaniel.

"What?"

Nathaniel asked

"You need to answer"

Everyone told him

"I already did, from England, mom's dad is from France."

A yawn came from the front

"What are you all talking about?"

Beth asked still yawning

"We're getting to know each other, so Beth where are you from?"

Sage chatted

"Oh, so I was born in England, as were my parents. But when I was 3 my grandparents from my dad's side moved to New Zealand with me and my parents, then I moved back to England when I was 5 anything more?"

Beth responded

"Ok good, next question, if you could change one thing in your life what would it be? I would get myself a cat."

Sage asked

"New parents."

Beth laughed

"That I could participate in race car races."

Nathaniel answered

"A good mother"

Melania laughed along side Beth

"For my mother to leave my dad"

Daniel chimed in

"A better boyfriend or ... no child inside of me"

Quinn contributed

"To know my father"

Becca laughed. Beth turned around and gave Becca and Melania a high-five

"Shity parents gang"

They all laughed

"Wanna hear a funny story?"

Nathaniel started

"So last night Beth woke up and left the room so I followed her and she fell into mud"

Laughter bursted out from all mouths other than an angry looking Beth.

"Fuck you"

Beth mouthed

"You wish you could, love"

Nathaniel teased.

Beth turned back around, turned up the radio and listened to the radio.

"They are perfect for eachother"

Quinn whispered over the chair behind her too Becca.

"I know right"

Becca whispered back. Nathaniel rolled his eyes and continued to look out of the window.

The next 6 hours the group spent their time singing, talking, laughing, a bit of drinking and just getting to know each other.

"Ok we've arrived, here's a supermarket I'll let y'all out and I'm going to fill the car up with gas"

Daniel pulled the car up beside a supermarket, let everyone out and then drove off.

"Let's split up to get what we each want."

Becca proposed and everyone agreed.

Becca and Nathaniel went together and got some more bottles of alcohol and some sweets. Sage went with Quinn and they got water, some fruits and vegetables, Sage also got some seeds to plant once they make it to New Hope.

"Melania I need aspirins, my head is dying from yesterday"

Beth groaned telling Melania what they needed to get, they also brought lots of chocolate. 20 minutes later they were picked up and they drove on to the next destination:Joplin.

20 minutes into the 6 hour drive Becca remembered

"Beth you need to come up with a backstory why you are in New Hope, we decided that you brought the house and decided to rent it out, you also have a friend called Francis."

"Ok, so umm let me think"

Beth thought for a few minutes

"Ok so I'm a trust fund kid and I wanted to move away from my family in Britain, found the house which I found perfect, but it's too big so I decided to rent it out. And Francis and I met because we are childhood friends. Is that ok?"

Becca did a thumbs up. Daniel then filled in Beth on everything they had said while she was sleeping. Once she had heard everything she turned in the radio as she had heard them say something about their situation.

"The parents of the seven kids have decided to make statements for their kids to come home, first we have the Williams."

"Nathaniel please come home, or if someone took you please bring him home, we miss you so much. We aren't mad, we just want you home"

Nathaniel's mother cried

"Thank you Ms. Williams, now Ms. Brown"

"Becca, please come home. Nothing is going to happen if you just come home. Please Becca I have already called your brother and he is coming back to help look for you, he misses you. Please Becca I am begging you."

Ms. Brown wept while Becca rolled her eyes mocking her mother.

"Fawn, come back. I need to get back to work but I can't because I'm looking for you, please just come back."

Mr. Andrew firmly stated

"We only have Mr. Fletcher left to give his statement, sadly the other parents couldn't find the time."

The person in the radio said

"Beth, I love you, please come back. I'm sure you won't get in trouble for having drugs. I'll make sure you don't. I love you Beth please come home."

Mr. Fletcher started to cry. Beth punched the screen.

"Fucking piece of shit, he can go to fucking hell."

Beth yelled

"Damn love it seems like you've got anger issues."

"I swear to god Nathaniel I will rip out your fingers and shove them up your ass, I will rip out your eyes, every single strand of your hair if you don't shut the fuck up."

Nathaniel looked surprised.

"Oh don't look too fucking surprised you fuckig asshole. I swear to god you... you're so annoying. You think you're all high and mighty, that you're above everyone. Oh I can do what I want when I want cause I'm Nathaniel Williams and my life is so horrible. Oh let me tell my best friend that she should kill herself two weeks after she attempted, but no I can't apologise because she said my grandma looks horrible. Then let's be mean to her for the next four years and every time she fucking breathes let's criticise her. You act so nice in front of your parents, couldn't even tell them what you did, instead you blamed me. I apologised you didn't accept it, then you get mad at me when I don't accept your apology."

Beth snapped

"Oh don't act like a saint in this story Beth you did and said some horrible things that day too."

"Like what Nathaniel, tell me, please enlighten me. Would love to hear it!"

"You said my grandmother looked horrible, her husband just died."

"Yes I did say that but... "

"Oh so cats got your tongue, love!"

"Let me finish, I said it but if you had listened to me you would have heard me say something along the lines of 'I understand why she looks tired and horrible right now, but before she should really change up her style to compliment her figure, I should go shopping with her some time to make her look nice. Only if she wants though."

Nathaniel stayed quiet

"Cats got your tongue love"

Beth mocked. The rest of the car ride was in complete silence.
