In The City Of Love

I woke up in a quiet house. Everyone else is at the restaurant but I wasn't. Now I may still be here but Claudette banned me from the restaurant premises until the anniversary which is still days away so I'm at the house still in bed and staring at my ceiling. 


Deciding I should be productive somehow today, I get off my bed and into my ensuite to do the needful. After I was done with my much-needed shower I changed into cozy clothes since I would be indoors all day. 


Getting to the kitchen, I see a sticky note on the fridge: 


I smile at this, grateful they remembered to leave some for me. Squeezing the note and tossing it in the dustbin, I open the fridge and bring out a microwaveable plate, putting it in the microwave and waiting for the timer to stop as I call my brother. 


I bite down my laugh, "Can't I just checked up on my little bro."
