Dara woke up quite later than he used to wake up. With Hyeri sleeping next to him, he could swear he had the best sleep since forever.

The peace around him also prevented from his eyes to open up but he knew he had to go on.

It was all up to him. There was no Hyeri to guide him now.

He couldn’t blame her for this, no. From what he understood, he was at fault. He just didn’t trust her enough and so now they were stuck.

Dara removed his arm from beneath Hyeri’s head which he had kept to provide her comfort even if it was for one night.

He brushed her hair away from her face, sketching her image in his mind to use it as an inspiration if he ever felt like giving up.

Leaning in, he gave her forehead a tight and long kiss. It was a promise, promise to return successfully, to give everything he can. To get them out of the place.

The kiss held more than a promise though, it held emotions. Sorrow, love, guilt and happiness too somehow.
