Chapter 21

My life.

The dust had shielded the sun and the sky from Tamina’s view after the sandstorm, but the heat hasn’t decreased even a bit. It was past noon and soon the sun was going to set. From her seat, she looked at the captured tourists in the back of her vehicle and all she could see was fear in their eyes. Guilt poked at her conscience and she took a deep breath.

‘You, okay?’ Guzman asked who was sitting next to her. Tamina nodded her head. She hated Guzman very much, but now he was her leader and her son’s survival depends on him. Guzman always doubted Tamina’s faith towards the Sharias but since Omar favoured her, he kept his doubt by himself. Tamina barely talked to him out of her hatred, but she was a subordinate and has to obey him, even if she hated him. Soon they reached their camps.
