The closure
Jacob’s POV
The heat, the desert breeze, and the smell of dry sand, it all felt so familiar when Jacob sat at the lobby of a school in Bayadar. It was only five minutes but he has already started to feel anxious. It was new for him. He has always been a calm and collected person, but today he was feeling restless.
‘You wanted to see me?’ . Somebody asked from behind and he was startled and stood up.
‘I didn’t mean to frighten you, Mr. Barnes. I was asked by the principal to meet you here. I am Yusuf.’ Yusuf introduced himself. Jacob stood there in awe for a second. He felt like he was looking at his younger self for a while. Yusuf was also staring back at Jacob’s face, especially at his angry scar.
‘Please be seated, Yusuf, I am Percy J Barnes’. Jacob and Yusuf sat down on a bench in the school lobby. After a few moments of awkward silence, Jacob said.
‘You are top of you class? Your principal said so.’
