Fast forward to the day of the ball.
The Palace lights were illuminated. Under the numerous life flowers hanging along the corridors, the sculptures and furniture all shown with spectacular opulence. All the servants on duty rushed in haste. Guests had started to fill in and venture through the flower strewn pathways, which all led to the centre of the event - The Great Hall.
The hall itself was decorated with soft satin and lace, tied at the ends and fixed to pillars using beads and flowers. On one side lay a long table full of delicacies. The banquet would be taking place in a separate hall next door to the Great Hall, where the tables were already set and ready. Once the guests were seated, food would be served. The ceiling showcased an enormous chandelier with golden life flowers. The Palace was alive and bustling with energy.
