Chapter 50: Mr. Brown's Story - Part 3

It did not take too long for things to start going wrong. On the eve of winter just a year after, Finnigan began to show symptoms of sickness. He would go down with a fever often and his coughing progressively worsened when his temperature rose. At first, everyone assumed this as a common cold. Prince Ryan would scold him for being too weak. He would take him along to training with hopes of making his only friend strong enough to fight mere colds. However, Finnigan simply weakened with time. At one point, he was bedridden. Days became weeks, and weeks became months. Finnigan showed no signs of cure. The Prince summoned the Royal healer to take a look at him, however the healer frowned and said, "Your Highness, this boy has no injury or disease, yet he is unwell?"
