WHY IT TOOK YOU SO LONG?

“Why it took you so long Austin?” Rick asked.

“Maybe, he did something on the wash room” Andrew suspected.

Andrew held Austin’s hand and tried to smell them. He also observed his face and his pants as if he was a detective searching for evidences. He even smelled his pants which created noise, reason why the librarian shouted. “Leave, if you can’t shut your mouth!”

When they heard the first warning, they decided to shut their mouth for a while. Then, Rick asked the real reason why it took him so long to arrive in the library. Austin then mentioned that he saw suspicious act that’s why he tried to check something, until he found Vanessa.

“Vanessa? The writer of the student publication?” Rick asked.

“Is it the same Vanessa who was keeping an eye on you?” Andrew added.

Austin was checking her profile on Facebook. Snooping every detail he needs to know about the girl. When the two saw what was Austin doing, Andrew dared to ask what was his plan why he was browsing Vanessa’s Facebook. Then, he looked back at him and smirked.

“Oh you’re following him?” Krist innocently asked.

“Yes, but I am not following him because I like him. I am following him because I hate him.” She answered.

“That’s totally absurd. You’re following someone you hate.”

“Exactly. I am pissed off to all people who are cheaters.”

Vanessa and Krist were friends. They went on the same school since high school up until they were college students. Krist was soft-hearted, smart, naïve education student. Vanessa was always teasing his friend and set up dates for him but Krist was always declining because he said he was not yet ready to love. While heading their way to their boarding houses, Krist was asking about her plan towards Austin. However, Vanessa kept quiet about her future plans towards the man she hates the most. She wanted to be more meticulous and clear in every step she’ll be doing.

“Miss, how much?” Austin asked.

The cashier in the convenience store near his apartment couldn’t take her eyes off to Austin. She was always mesmerized everytime she looked at him. She was always waiting for him to buy and grabbed the chance just to stare at him for a longer time. Austin became friend with Weng.

“Am I in heaven? Why am I seeing an angel?” Weng whispered.

“Weng! Weng! Weng!” Austin shouted.

When she went back to her conscious mind, Austin mentioned that Weng was dreaming again. The cashier bravely mentioned that it’s just only happens when Austin is buying. So technically speaking, Weng was blaming Austin for her dreaming state. Austin mentioned that it was not his fault why he was good-looking. He had given her a wink and left the store. Weng fell on the ground exaggeratedly and became unconscious for the second time around.

While heading his way back to his dorm, an unknown number popped up and calling him. Austin had no time to pick up calls from unknown number. But to the persistent attitude of the caller, he answered the call unwillingly.

“Hello?”

“I miss you so much. Can we talk?”

“Who’s this?”

“It’s me Mitch. I love you Austin.”

“I don’t know you. Please stop calling me.”

“It’s me Mitch. I love you Austin.”

“I don’t know you. Please stop calling me.”

Vanessa was really pissed off because it was 11:00 o’clock and she received call from her friend Mitch who happened to be one of Austin’s recent ex. She was in a bar and was drunk. Vanessa hurriedly went to the bar where Mitch was located. She was weeping and calling Austin’s name. The situation was becoming scandalously irritating that’s why she was forcibly taking her out of the bar. However, Mitch was too persistent and stubborn; she said that she’ll never go away unless she would hear Austin’s voice, reason why Vanessa’s phone number was used to call Austin.

After hearing that, the two had different emotion. Mitch was badly hurt while Vanessa was totally angry. Her hatred towards Austin was escalating. Strenuously devastated as she may perceive, she had no choice but to carry her friend back to her apartment. While she was carrying her friend out of the bar, she was thinking how asshole Austin was. She was angrily talking to her friend and telling her that loving that person was the greatest nightmare of all time. She promised herself to do something to turn Austin down.

“Austin, I love you” Mitch murmured.

While they were waiting for the taxi, Vanessa called Krist. She was asking for help. Krist had a never-say-never attitude and even if he was reading, he lent his hand to help her friends. He found them in front of a bar; Krist helped Vanessa to bring his drunken friend inside of his car. Then, while heading their way back to Vanessa’s dorm where Mitch can stay for a night, he saw a familiar face on the street and she was right – it was Austin. Austin was talking to a girl.

“Do you know where this place is?” a woman asked.

“Yes, it’s right there, after that big building.” Austin answered while pointing his finger.

“Thank you!” the woman uttered her thanks with seduction on her fiery face.

Then, Austin went back to his apartment after giving the direction to the woman.
