 “I hate lying to Lana,” I mutter in Azazel’s ear as we make our way up to our apartment after an entertaining night out with our friends. Azazel and I threw a party at Garden of Eden commemorating our new living arrangements and my mating mark. 


 It’s been weeks since we defeated Marael and Sahara and escaped hell. Once everything was settled, I moved into Azazel’s flat. Azazel also gave Bree and Lana an apartment a few floors down from ours─rent free. As soon as I was reassured that my mom and everyone else was fine, we spoke to Mathias. 


 Mathias was a little peeved that we gave the amulet away but relieved to know that Marael and Sahara were dead. It was as if a great weight was lifted from his shoulders. Mikhail, Amara, and the others were just as relieved. It seems that Marael was a thorn in all their sides.
