Chapter 42

Closing the flat door behind me felt like opening new space full of fresh air. I was closing one chapter of my life. I knew I had to get out of the building to be able to breathe. It was just a few more steps to go.

"Wait," Jake run to me as I was almost leaving the building. When I didn't react to his voice, he just grabbed my hand to stop me. I ended up standing in the doors.

"What now?" I was feeling tired, exhausted to the bones. Holding Jonathan's blood was not helping to cheer me up. I could feel the death seeping through the plastic. I guess the containers were not really made to contain magical items.

"You are going to leave just like that?"

"Like what?" I was not sure what he meant. I did what they asked me to do and got what I requested. It was over, time to move on. He just took my hand off the door handle and closed the doors, pushing me in the corner.
