"Nikki what are you doing? What do you mean you want to quit?" Chad stood in front of me, accessing me from head to tow. If I hadn't eavesdropped on his conversation with David Park, I would have been distracted by how worried he sounded.

"Because I work here, and I have the right to leave this organisation when I feel the need to." I reminded him, handing the letter over to him, "sorry it's poorly written, I just..." I trailed off, rubbing my arms with my hands, "I need to. I can't keep working here especially when you think so poorly of me, it's just not possible anymore." I sighed, turning around to leave.

"But Nikki," he held my wrist in an attempt to get me to turn around but I yanked my wrist free.

"Let it go okay?" I smiled. I found my eyes were getting tingly and the need to cry was itchy. I turned around and hastened my walking steps to avoid being seen by him as a vulnerable person.
