Part I: Beginning

"By the power vested in me today, I shall declare Joseph Solar as the new holder of the title "Sun" and the ruler of the Sun Empire, from this day onwards. Long Live the Empire!" Joseph was coronated by the pope as the new emperor of Sun Empire and the pope put the crown on his head while the two bishops on the side gave him the Imperial sword and dagger.

"Long live the Imperial Family! Long live the Sun Empire!" The crowd shouted.

Joseph Solar was crowned as the new emperor as his father passed away. He was known for his contributions in previous wars and he assisted his father in every war since he graduated from the Imperial Solar Academy. He is well known in the academy as a quick-witted student and a formidable enemy. He has a sinewy body, wiry long hair, and inky clear eyes.

After the coronation event, they went to grand hall of the Solar Palace for the celebration. Sun entered the hall in his favorite red robe glistening with yellow and orange dragons, and a bright yellow sun with orange rays on its back. They all kneeled and bow at his presence.

"Thank you for everyone's presence and support for the Empire and the Imperial Family. I promise that I will do everything to continue the legacy of my father and protect Chronomia from foreign invaders like my ancestors did. Let's keep being the sun that shines for every citizen of our empire." He told them as he stood in front of his throne then he sat on his throne.

Everyone gave him a round of applause and they started the ball. He saw a shadow behind the curtain and he let out small sun beam.

"O-ouch. Did I bother you, Your Imperial Majesty?" The, small yet thin, man behind the curtain appeared and kneeled.

"It’s the usual Davy Bones. Ha-ha! Come on let's enjoy the ball." He told him as he stood and went to him.

"I-I can't, Your Imperial Majesty. I am assigned to ensure your safety." He replied as he stood up.

"Special Agent Davy Bones or Fossil!" He raised his tone as he stood in front of him.

"Y-yes, Your Imperial Majesty?" He replied as he bowed.

"Come on, brother. The night is still young and the ball barely started. Let's get loose for a bit, eh. Ha-ha!" He told him as he put his arm to his shoulder and they walk down the stairs.

He can't do anything but to follow. He was resisting at first because of his duty but deep inside he really wants to join the ball. They went down and separated. Sun went to the dancing crowd and Fossil went to the buffet. They celebrated all night long and Sun danced with the daughters of the nobles while Fossil was eating tirelessly as he watches the crowd.

"I can't dance there. I am not a nobleman after all." Fossil told himself as he drank a cup of wine.

Sun saw him and pulled him to the crowd. He didn't resist and some of the noble maidens danced with him. They spent the whole night at the ball.

On the other side of Chronomia, there is a land covered with eternal darkness. It is located beyond the mountain ranges of Eternal Bluffs, that land can be seen on its highest point which is the Scarlet's Peak. A nation rules over the land known as the Moon Realm. They were a nation ruled by a queen known only as Moon. They were one of the historical adversaries of the Sun Empire.

They were humanlike creatures with amethyst looking skin and they were known in the land as the pillagers of the Sullen Plains. They were feared for their massive raids and merciless attacks. Their leader, herself, leads the charge in those raids recorded by the Sun Empire.

Moon Realm is allied with the Troll Clan in their south and Orc Kingdom in their east. They crossed the mountains on multiple occasions to invade and pillage other kingdoms and villages. Their leader, only known as Moon, are often described as a lanky-bodied, long silver haired, and sharp crimson eyed woman. She was known as a mage on a shining emerald-armored steed.

"How are your men doing, General Soil?" Moon asked the petite, brown haired, and black-eyed woman in a military uniform.

"Your Majesty, we are prepared for the mission." Soil replied and she bowed in front of her.

"Our target this time is the city of Taiyou, the capital of the Sun Empire." She told her as they walked to her table and she pointed it in her map.

"I-is this serious, milady?" She asked with confusion.

"Yes. We need to destroy their siege laboratory there. Based on our intel, they are developing another siege machine. If we destroyed their lab, we would slow down their progress. Well, you can destroy as many buildings as you want and kill as many people as you like." She told her with a confident smile.

"Copt that, Your Majesty." Soil replied courteously.

"Well then, you may go now." Moon replied and nodded.

"Thank you, your majesty." She replied and bowed then she walked away.

Moon went to her terrace and looked at the view of the city when someone came out of nowhere. She looked closely and she saw a brown-haired person.

"Stop right there!" She replied as she aimed her silver rapier.

"What if I don't?" The person asked her as it moved forward.

"Eclipse! You playing pranks again?" She told her as she put her rapier. in its scabbard.

Eclipse sat on of the chairs and ate one of the apples.

"This apple are delicious, sister." She told her as she bit one of the apples.

"Those apples came from the last raid on a village of Sun Empire." She replied as she drank her wine.

"Wh-what!" She was shocked and threw the apple away.

"Hey, don't throw things from my window." She told her as she pierced through the apple and threw it back at her.

She caught it and threw it faster than her first throw. Moon didn't get it and it fell outside.

"You little..." She was about to shout at her but she escaped through her terrace.

She looked at her as she leapt from one terrace to the other and she sighed then she went inside. She ate some oranges as she looked on the monthly report.

Meanwhile, Soil and her men are preparing for their mission. She went to the drill grounds and his men went into formation.

"Today, we will march through the capital of Sun Empire, the capital city of Taiyou, to destroy their laboratory! We must destroy that laboratory to slow down their process of developing their new weapon! Mages, provide everyone with cover against sunlight and we need to have to look like the locals so we can pass through the gates of their capital. We will dress up as merchants and enter the gates. We will go to the nearest shop to the laboratory and by night time we will attack." Soil told her men as she pointed out their objectives in the map.

"Mam yes, mam!" They shouted as they looked at the map beside her.

"We will leave by the next peak of the moon. You are dismissed." She told them and they went away.

The next peak came, Soil and her men started to march from their seaside capital of Tsuki. They dressed as merchants as they passed through the Eternal Buffs.

Meanwhile, Fossil was riding downtown to visit a nearby shop when he saw a group of merchants passing by and they looked suspicious on their movements but he ignored them. Noon came, Soil and her forces continued their march to the gates of Taiyou. They successfully passed through the guards and entered the city and went to the central parts of the city.

"We can spend the time fooling around just make sure you can come back her by sunset. Go out in groups to make sure your cover won't disappear and don't get unwanted attention." She told them and they dispersed with their respective groups.

Soil went to a nearby store by herself when she bumped into someone.

"Oh. Sorry, ma’am. Let me help you." Fossil apologized as he gave his hand.

"Sorry. The fault was mine. I wasn't looking where I am walking." Soil replied as she stood up and she shook off the dust in her dress.

"Are you new here, ma’am?" He asked her as he looked at her.

"Yes. I am a merchant from the outer regions of the empire. What is your name, kind sir?" She replied and asked him as they walked.

"Oh, how rude of me. I am Fossil. How about you, ma’am?" He asked her in return.

"I am Soil. Nice to meet you, Fossil." She replied and offered her hand for a handshake.

"Nice to meet you too, ma’am Soil. Do you have any appointments, ma’am?" He replied and they shook hands.

"Nothing in particular. Don't go too formal to me. Just call me Soil." She told him.

"Oh okay, maa... I mean Soil. Let's have a walk. May we?" He asked her

"Yeah sure. Why not?" She replied and they started walking.

They walked together and went downtown. They ate in a nearby coffee shop and they went around the town. Sunset came, Soil bid her farewell and Fossil did the same. After a few minutes of walking, Soil reached her destination and met up with her forces.

"Is everyone here?" She asked as soon as she reached them.

"Yes, General. We are complete." One of her officials replied.

"Well then, let’s get ready." She replied and went to the front.

Everyone formed a line and they started walking until they reached the gates of the laboratory.

"At last. Here we are." Soil told them.
