Part VI: Sunflower and Moondust

"Charge! Don't break your formations!" Sun shouted.

The factions are fighting for their lands and goals. By numbers, Moon faction is at an advantage but by power, Sun faction has the upper hand. Sun faction pushed back the forces of the Moon faction through the Devil Mountain Ranges.

"Fall back! It's a trap!" Sun shouted to his forces.

Sun and his forces retreated to Wicked Pastures but it’s too late. His forces were caught by the enemy using nets. And the sun was trapped using a rope and he was tied upside down.

"Victory is ours!" Moon shouted.

"VICTORY!" Her forces shouted.

"You are powerful yet you are an idiot on dirty tactics." She insulted and slapped Sun.

"Free my forces. Now! You are always a loser at a battle. It is not too late to surrender." He told her.

"Who are you to try strike a bargain with me? You don't know your place." She told him, pulled her sword and slashed him in the back.

"Emperor! You. Wenches! Don't you! Ever! Lay! Your! Hands! To! Our! Emperor! Calcium-" Fossil angrily said

"Fossil! No! Stop! Fossil stand down! I can manage this. Proceed as planned." Sun ordered him.

*flashback*

"What!? You want to fight them alone?" Fossil asked Sun.

"Yes. This fight is my fight, not yours or anyone." Sun replied.

"But you know that you can't win alone." Fossil told him.

"Yes. That's why I will bring the most elite forces on our side." He replied to him.

"You and our forces will accompany me to the battlefield and help me reduce the realm's soldiers. Then I will give you the signal to retreat. And you will lead the retreat while I give you cover." He told him.

"Are you crazy? Who will lead us if you die?" He asked him.

"Don't worry you know that as long as the sun exists it means I am alive. And I dealt with that." He told him.

"I am against this plan!" He rejected him.

"This is the emperor's order. I also need to go somewhere. I will need an escape." Sun told him.

"Fine! I will proceed as planned." He followed.

"Well then. Let's see how this will end up." Sun told him

*flashback ended*

"You tried to attack us huh? Feel the pain of our anger." Moon told him as she stabbed his left leg.

"Okay. You didn't learn from last time. Heatwave!" Sun attacked them and a sun appeared spreading a massive heatwave

"Here we go again. It's just magic. Attack him using water and ice. Absolute Darkness!" She was taken away by the impact of the heatwave when Sun let out a heat pulse then she ordered them to darken the place.

"Perfect! Fossil now!" Sun shouted.

"Combined technique Sun Tube!" They shouted.

"Overseer mark." Sun whispered to himself as he aimed for Fossil.

"Mages! Cut the ropes we need to escape. Now!" Fossil ordered them.

Sun and his forces escaped from the traps and they ran away. He also gives them cover while running away so they can't be caught by Moon and her forces.

"This is it. Fossil, now go! I'll take them from here." Sun ordered Fossil.

"Sir yes sir. Soldiers come on! Faster" Fossil ordered them. Sun's forces went on and ran back to the empire. On the other hand, he was left behind severely injured by Moon's attacks on him. After a couple of hours, Moon and her forces caught up and they Sun standing and waiting for them.

"It seems like your luck is not that big as your sun? Coz you are here standing all alone facing us. While we are too many for you to handle. Tie him down!" She insulted him and ordered her troops to tie him down.

"Sunlight! They didn't leave me behind. I let them go first." Sun replied to her while smirking.

"You still want an outnumbered fight? Blimey, you are too proud. Okay, attack him!" Moon ordered her forces.

"Ah yes. This is it. I can feel pure adrenaline. Well then. Let's fight." Sun replied as he pulled out his sword.

Sun didn't retreat even he is facing a whole army himself. He valiantly fought the enemies. Noon came he went too powerful that he decimated one-fourth of Moon Faction's army.

"Ice Magic! Now! Absolute Moonbeam! This beam dims anything it touches. This allows us to expand our borders." Moon ordered her mages and attacked him.

"Look at the sky. Do you see that? That means you are going to fail. Thousand Suns! This one of the highest known techniques for my magic." Sun told her as his sun multiplied above him and a circle of light appeared beneath him

"Damn! It is noon again. Mages come on help me let's block the sunlight." She ordered her mages.

"1... 2... 3... Combined Darkness" They shouted and darken the surroundings. Meanwhile, Sun was looking around and suddenly Moon's forces started to feel an itch in their skins they suddenly saw an arrow emitting pollens.

"Pollen Burst!" Someone cast magic out of nowhere.

"Whoever cast this spell, you are neither of both sides. Don't get involved with this fight. This is my fight, not yours!" Sun shouted

"Itchy. Itchy. Itchy. Whoever cast this spell show yourself it is not too late to surrender." Moon commanded.

"A lone warrior full of pride and a leader full of aggression. Hey, Sun it’s been a long time." A woman showed up in the middle of the battlefield.

"Y-you. W-why are you here? Go now! You will just get hurt here!" Sun surprised said.

"You are still the same. You still treat me like a kid. By the way, do you still remember my name?" The girl asked him.

"H-how can I forget the name. Your name is the one that I will remember my whole life. You are Flower." Sun told Flower.

"That is just my callsign. How about my real name?" Flower asked him.

"You never told us your real name. You know that I will never forget anything about you." Sun answered.

Meanwhile, Moon and her forces are just listening to them.

"Can you spare us the small talk, please! Everyone, attack them!" Moon told them and ordered her forces to attack them.

"Flower! Stay back. I can manage this. Just run. The fight is mine, not yours." Sun told her.

"Hmph. Stop treating me like a kid! You are always doing that." Flower annoyingly told him.

"I just don't want you to get hurt. You know that." He told her.

"Hmph. Don't mind me!" She shouted at him.

"As you wish, madam. Just let me fight them efficiently." He told her.

"Combined technique Dark Crustal Castle!" Moon and Soil shouted."

The ground started to tremble as rows of walls started rising from the ground and the skies darkened as if it was night. Sun and Flower were pushed upwards by the main complex of the castle.

"This is not... good..." He said while catching his breath and kneeling on the ground. His suns disappeared eventually

"See. You can't do this alone. Look at you. You can barely stand." She told him.

"At least I'm not dead." He told her.

"Stop that. You are still the same. You know we are trapped in here." She told him annoyingly.

"Please stay back for a second. I 'll just do something. Light spin!" He shouted, jumped, and attacked the roof and they fell inside.

"Hey what are you thinking? Stop using your power. It will weaken you. I 'll leave you here if you passed out." She commanded him.

"Y-yes. As you wish. Just let me take us out of here." Sun replied as they continued to fell down.

"Do what you like!" She irritatingly told him. They reached the floor and they stood up.

They walked around and reached the front of the castle. They saw one of the castle's tower in the inner bailey and made their way through climbing the walls.

"It seems that they are lost." Moon told Soil as they waited outside the castle's walls.

"I think so too, Your Majesty." She replied as she looked at one of the towers.

Meanwhile, Sun and Flower sneaked above the walls and hid through the walls' merlons until they reached the castle tower. They saw that the tower is hollow and there is no way up. Sun pulled his sword then he gave his dagger to Flower and they jumped inside and pierced the castle tower as they jump. A few moments later, she pierced the wall but her hand slipped while the dagger fell in to the bottom of the tower. Sun leaped in the air and he caught her.

"I got you." Sun said as he caught Flower in his arms and she gave out a sigh of relief.

Sun swiftly leapt to the sides of the tower's wall until they reached the top then they went through a trapdoor. He dove inside to get the dagger and Flower can't do anything but to look at him as he went down deep in to the tower. After a few moments, Sun went back to the top of the tower.

"We are here now. I can destroy the barrier so that we can escape their spell." Sun told Flower as he pierced his sword on the tower and put his dagger on its scabbard.

"What are you planning to do?" She asked with confusion.

"Please stay back. Absolute Brightness! Amplify! Sun Slash." He shouted as he sighed then he amplified his sun dispelling the darkness and drying up the walls and a big slash of light appeared as he slashed through the air.

The dried brittle walls collapsed with his slash. Meanwhile, Moon and Soil were shocked to feel such a tremendous amount of energy oozing out of the castle they built to trap them. A few moments later, they saw the two coming out of the now-destroyed castle.

"Nice to shock you again. Let's continue the fight." Sun proudly challenged them as he stood in his battle stance.
