Part XII: Memories from the Academy

Morning came, Sun was in his office when someone knocked on the door.

"Come in." Sun said as he was reading something.

"Good morning, Your Imperial Majesty." Potash greeted as she entered the room.

"Good morning, Miss Potash." He replied as she sat down on one of the chairs.

"I just finished preparing. I am sorry, Your Imperial Majesty." She told him as he was signing the papers.

"It's fine. I am sorry. I will just sign these papers then we will go to the academy." He replied.

"Don't worry about me, Your Imperial Majesty. I can wait. You are very person after all." She told him.

"Here... and... here..." Sun replied as he signed the papers and give it to the attendant waiting for the papers.

"Thank you, Your Imperial Majesty." The attendant responded as he gave the papers.

"Let's go, Miss Potash." He told her as he stood up and went to her.

"Yes, Your Imperial Majesty." Potash replied as they went out of the room.

"Don't call me Your Imperial Majesty. It is too long to say all the time. Just call me Sun." He told her as they went out of his office.

"As you wish, Your- I mean, Sun." She replied.

"I only use the title on important matters and formal gatherings. So be comfortable on calling me Sun." He added as they walked.

They went downstairs and to the Imperial Carriage. Flower was on her way to the great hall when she saw them rode the carriage and she hid on one of the trees. The carriage rode for an hour to reach the academy.

"We are here at the academy, Your Imperial Majesty." The coachman told him as the horse stopped.

"Thank you, Mr. Coachman. Take this. Buy yourself a drink." He replied as he opened the door and gave him some gold coins.

"Thank you, Your Imperial Majesty." He replied while Sun was assisting Potash to dismount from the carriage.

"Let's go, Miss Potash." Sun told him and they started walking inside the academy.

Everyone they passed by greets them joyfully.

"Don't prevent yourself from grabbing my arm. You might get lost here." Sun told her and she immediately grabbed his arm.

"I can remember how my senior defended me when I was studying here." Potash told herself as she smiled upon remembering her memories.

"Good day, Your Imperial Majesty. How may I help you?" A silver haired man with blue eyes and tall stature asked them.

"Cerulean?" Potash asked him with surprise.

"Potash?" Cerulean replied to her with a question while being surprised.

"Yes! What are you doing here?" She asked the man.

"I am one of the department head here. How about you? What are you doing here with the emperor?" He replied and asked her questions.

"I was here for diplomatic reasons when His Imperial Majesty asked me if I want to visit the academy when he knew I studied here." She told him and he saw her grabbing his arm.

"Wait, what?" Cerulean asked in shock.

"Yup. She is right. I asked her if she wants to visit here when I knew she studied here along with Fossil." Sun suddenly spoked which made Cerulean more confused.

"Would you mind going to my office?" He asked them.

"Nope. We won't." Potash replied.

"Well then, let's go. This way, Your Imperial Majesty." He replied as he led the way.

They took the stairs and went on their way to Cerulean's office. Meanwhile on the other side of the building, there are two men on the roof spying on Sun.

"It looks like we hit a jackpot today." One of the man said.

"Don't get too excited kid. One wrong move we will be burned to death." The other man replied.

"Okay, boss. Let's just observe here and do our job clean." The other man said as he looked on his spyglass.

They reached his office and entered. Sun and Potash sat on the couch while Cerulean served the tea.

"So. How did you know each other?" He asked casually.

"We met each other yesterday when I handed a letter from Stoicheionese Federation." Potash replied as she drank her tea.

"What?! You just met yesterday and you are already together?" Cerulean asked them in shock.

"Nope. It is not what you think." Potash replied as she blushed in front of them.

"How did you know each other?" Sun suddenly asked out of curiosity.

"Your Imperial Majesty, we are childhood friends along with Fossil and Cuprite. Our parents are friends and we regularly see each other back then at family gatherings." He replied with somehow tension while facing him.

"I see. Please don't be too formal in my presence. Just be comfortable." Sun replied casually and he drank his tea.

"Yes, Master." He replied to him.

"We are here for a visit. It's been ages since I last stayed here." Potash added.

"So, you really didn't know each other? Like even having the feeling of familiarity?" Cerulean asked them.

"Nope." They both replied.

"I see. How to explain this... ummm..." He was thinking of what he will say.

"What do you mean?" She asked him as he was drinking his tea and Sun was listening to what he will say

"Potash, Fossil and I were classmates in the academy and Master Sun was our senior. You didn't remember that Potash?" Cerulean told them and asked her.

"Nope. Not even a little." Potash replied.

"Uhmmmm... master. Did you remember one of your juniors? The one with a cute crystal green eyes?" He asked him.

"Yes. I just can't remember her name and hair color." Sun responded as he drank his tea.

"I see I see. Do you still remember the incident when we were students? The hottest issue of the time?" Cerulean asked them.

"Yup." They both replied and they both nodded.

"Good. Master Sun is the one who defended you from our seniors that tried to pick on you. Master, she is your junior with the green eyes." Cerulean revealed and they were shocked.

"What?!" They both replied in shock.

"Yes. It is true." Cerulean confirmed his statement.

"S-s-so you mean Master Sun... is our senior who defended me?" She stuttered in shock.

"Yes." He answered and nodded.

"A-a-and I am the junior he is talking about?" She continued to stutter in shock.

"Yup." He replied and nodded again.

"I-I can't believe t-the Imperial Majesty is my crush back then." Potash screamed internally.

"Are you serious, Cerulean?" Sun asked him seriously.

"Yes, Master. She is your crystal green eyed junior." He added.

"What! She is my cute junior?!" Sun shouted deep inside himself.

"Why you two looks so tensed?" He asked them and he laughed.

"N-n-nothing. Nothing!" Potash replied as she blushed and felt very nervous.

"What's with the blushy?" He teased her.

"S-stop! I am not blushing. It is just hot." She replied and she became shy.

Sun was still quiet in his sit drinking his tea when someone knocked on the door.

"Come in." Cerulean said and the door opened.

"How is life going, bro..." Fossil didn't finish his sentence when he saw the three of them.

"Come in." He told Fossil.

"Y-y-your Imperial Majesty? What are you doing here all of a sudden? W-with Potash?" Fossil asked him in shock.

"We are just visiting here." He replied with nervousness in his voice.

"Hmmm... aren't you two dating?" He asked mischievously.

"N-n-nope." She stuttered while answering.

"Fossil, do you think we are dating?" Sun replied more mischievous than Fossil.

"N-n-no, Your Imperial Majesty." He replied as he trembled in his fear of his eyes.

"Now you know." Sun replied and he laughed.

"Y-yes, Your Imperial Majesty." He replied and sat down with them.

"I can't still believe he is my brave senior." Potash told herself as she continued to blush.

"Let's have some walk, can we?" Sun asked Potash.

"Y-yes, Master." She replied as she continued to blush.

"Well then, we will now leave you guys. Thank you, Mister Cerulean, for the tea." He thanked him as they stood, Potash grabbed his arm and went away.

"Thanks for the tea." Potash thanked him and they went away.

"Do you think they are dating?" Fossil asked Cerulean when they closed the door.

"I don't know. Maybe yes, maybe no. I don't know." Cerulean replied as he shrugged and tilted his head.

"When you look at them, it looks like how they were in our junior years." Fossil told him.

"Yeah. I agree." He replied.

Meanwhile, Sun and Potash were talking while walking along the corridors of the academy and through the gardens.

"I can't believe you are that cute junior in my senior years." Sun told her as he looked at her.

"I can't also believe that you are the brave senior who defended me." She replied as she blushed.

"You look so red? Are you sick? Want to go to the infirmary?" He asked her as she blushed even more.

"N-no. I am fine. It is just hot, Master." She replied.

"Would you like to drink something?" He asked her.

"I-I am fine, Thank you." She replied shyly.

"Don't be shy. I can remember how we used to walked around here before I graduated." Sun told her as he reminisced his memories from the academy.

"Oh my!!! I can remember that too." Potash screamed internally.

"Let's go to the rooftop. Remember our fireworks show back then?" He asked her as he looked to her expression.

"Yeah. I remember that. We were called by the principal afterwards for being in to restricted area." She replied and they both laughed.

"Let's go. Hold tight. We will fly. Volante. Altu-" Sun was interrupted and he threw away Potash.

"Explosion!" Fossil shouted as they heard an explosion nearby.

"The students!" Cerulean shouted as they stood up.

"The emperor!" Fossil shouted as they went out of the door.

"O-ouch. A-are you alright, Sun?" Potash asked him as she got back in to consciousness of her surroundings.

"Reflecting Mirror!" Sun shouted as he pulled out his dagger and slashed through the attack.

"No wa-" One of the assailants shouted.

"Evacuate all students on the bunker!" The school intercom ordered using the magic in the academy.

"Potash! Evacuate with the students. Tell the principal I sent you to help them.

"Yes sir!" Potash replied and she ran away to the nearest building.

"Assailant! Show yourself. I know you are following us the whole time." Sun shouted.

"Ha. Why are you so alert? We are plotting against you many times." One of the assailant replied as he jumped from the roof.

"That badge again?" Sun told him with a sigh.

"You killed my apprentice and now I am using a different technique." He replied and whistled.

Many enemies fell from the roof after the whistle. They have different weapons and struck at him.

"You are lucky we are in the middle of the city and not in the battlefield." Sun told them and he laughed.

"Don't be too proud. You are outnumbered and I know you won't use your magic here. This is the day when our ideology will overthrow the ancient system." The leader of the assailants replied.

"You libertist idiots who wants to turn the monarchy into a democratic government? You are making me laugh. Your politics are rotten. Look at what happened to your former republic. Where is it now? It was now under by the Moon Realm. Your people betrayed you. Stop dreaming of a democratic government in my lands." Sun teased them and laughed at them as he pointed his dagger.

"How dare you call us idiots! We want democracy for everyone. Not like your old, more rotten and selfish government! Everyone, attack him. Leave no quarters! Even the children." The leader replied and he ordered his men.

"Your name is yellow badgers, right? I think it isn't appropriate. I will just call you yellow idiots." He replied and laughed at them.

The enemies charged at him but Sun was too fast for them he easily fought them. Fossil and Cerulean saw what happened from the second floor.

"Our Emperor!" Fossil shouted as he saw him fighting outnumbered.

"He is so cool even though he is outnumbered." Cerulean replied.

"Idiot! We need to help him. Come on!" He grabbed his neck and jumped.

"Hey wait!" Cerulean shouted as they fell through to the ground.

"Fossil, I can manage this. Just help in the evacuation!" Sun shouted as he slashed through one of the assailants.

"Fine! Fine!" Fossil replied and they went away.

"Hell Strike!" The leader shouted as a large rock appeared from above.

"Wrong move! Reflecting Mi... rror!" Sun shouted as he struck the rock and it hit the assailants.

"N-noooooo!" The men shouted.

"Those yellow idiots! You!" He shouted and he saw one of them was still alive.

"N-no. N-no." The man replied.

"Tell your idiot leader. Stavris, Starvis, Starvos. I don't care what is his name but tell him, if he sent another group of assassins, I will find him and kill him!" Sun shouted at the survivor and he went away while the man ran away for his life.

Sun went to the nearby bunker and he saw everyone waiting for the door to open.

"Is everyone alright?" Sun asked them.

"Yes, Your Imperial Majesty." Everyone replied.

"Since there is an incident today, I will declare a week of no classes and no homework." He told them and everyone cheered.

"Thank you, Your Imperial Majesty." Everyone replied as they kneeled before his presence.

"Don't mention it. Everyone you may go home now. Teachers, you do the rest." Sun told them and potash went to him.

"Your Imperial Majesty, are you alright? Where are you hurt?" Potash asked him with worry in her face.

"Don't worry about me. I am fine." Sun replied and laughed.

"What are you always so brave?" Potash told him and she cried as she leaned on his chest.

"A-are you crying?" Sun asked as he hugged her.

"I-I am not crying! Hmph." Potash told him as she faced on the opposite direction.

"You are acting out again?" He asked her laughingly.

"Hmph! You are just too reckless." She replied.

"Oh, come on. Come here." He said as he hugged her.

"Hmph." She replied and she blushed.

"Let's go back to the palace now." Sun told her and they started to walk away.

"As you wish, Your Imperial Majesty." Potash replied happily while grabbing his arm.

"Cerulean and Fossil, you take care of the rest." Sun told him before they left the bunker.

"Yes, Your Imperial Majesty." They replied and left.

They left the vicinity and went to the Imperial Carriage and went back to the palace.

"Thank you for spending your precious time with me, Your Imperial Majesty." Potash thanked him.

"Don't mention it." Sun replied.
