Part XXIII: Basement Exploration

They entered the basement through the wine storage in the kitchen.

"You stocked up many liquor here." Flower told him as they walked inside the basement.

"Yeah. We make liquor daily it is one of the long tradition of the Imperial Family." Sun replied.

"This barrel contains ancient wine." Flower told him as she looked at the barrel.

"Yeah. We use it for ceremonial purposes. Especially the annual founding day. The only one allowed to drink that is the Emperor and Empress. If there is no Empress, the Empress Dowager will be allowed to drink it." Sun told her and they continued to walk.

"That's why you drink a cup of it." Flower replied.

"Yup." Sun responded.

"I wonder why everyone calls me Lady Flower instead of Miss Flower." Flower told him.

"I don't know. Maybe they chose you to be a candidate as the empress? Who knows." Sun replied and he kissed her cheek.

"Hey. Come back here." Flower told him when he ran away.
