Letter

The following year after Weiss and Harriet's party was progressing at a peaceful pace in Atlas if you would ignore some of the red fang attacks...

Of course, that was just in Atlas as Red Fang gained some semblance of intelligence. After seeing their raids too costly and unsuccessful, thanks to new Bastion droids that were mass-produced to battle both Red Fang and Grimms, they set their sight on other Kingdoms where they were prospering somehow successful...

That, of course, created a political nightmare for Atlas as other kingdoms were pushing for access to Bastions, too, as they could see that just Atlas was able to push Red Fang back.

And that made Atlas prime target as Atlas Council feared that if they give out the Bastion blueprints that the Red Fang could steal them, which was were justifiable claim but to understand that the other councils would use common sense and that's not something people have when their own lives are at risk...

Aegis was laughing when he saw how the droids he made were used against Atlas in the same way Atlas used against Aegis...

But that was not Aegis's problem as he was having his own plate full with SDC finally absorbing all other firms Aegis gained and him being Mayor of Mantle...

Wellbeing Mayor was...

Aegis just didn't know what to say as one particular person was making him problems, and surprisingly it was not Ironwood...

It was Robyn Hill, a huntress, a Mantle's homemade hero, and leader of happy huntresses who was giving Aegis a headache...

It was not that she was against Aegis's plans as she could see that the plans would make Mantle prosper but her forward personality...

In short, Aegis did have numerous talks with Miss Robyn, and the more he was telling her of his plans as it would bring Aegis good PR from Mantle citizens if Robyn herself would be on his side that made Robyn well Robyn...

If Aegis described her, he would say that Robyn Hill is a perfect leader in a time of peace and so-so politician...

And Aegis doesn't need to have Robyn Hills semblance of lie detection to know that she was plotting something. No, if Robyn was malicious, Aegis would take care of her...

No, what brought Aegis a headache was that he could feel that Robyn was not planning on hurting him or his family in any way, and that made her even more annoying as Aegis doesn't wish to hurt someone who doesn't stand in his way...

Aegis pushed that annoying woman out of his mind as he looked at his new blueprints...

Wind and solar generator utterly free of dust usage and capable enough to supply Mantle with enough energy just with hundred of units...

With Atlas's advanced technology, Aegis is able to go with quality against quantity, and as such, Aegis would need just either hundreds of wind turbines or hundreds of solar panels to supply Mantle's needs for energy...

Of course, Aegis was not naive enough to not know that his little project would gain attention after some time when people start asking what purpose these things serve, but Aegis made sure that if there is even little breach in either software or hardware of his new creations, it will self-destruct...

As Aegis wouldn't give his work for free for anybody...

Another update was that Aegis's mother, Willow, finally started her charity program after months of planning, giving her enough work to forget about any idea of wine. She named it Schnee Charity Program and already sponsored numerous orphanages and homes for the homeless and numerous settlements that needed lien...

And with his mother Willow's new look after she gave up on alcohol and started to exercise, she now looked at her late twenties as any wrinkles she had were gone, and her body was sleek that nobody would expect that she had three children...

In short, numerous people claimed that Willow was Goddess herself with her gentle smile and white flowing hair and body that would make even the most beautiful women die from jealousy...

Aegis's sister Winter was able to jump grades in Atlas military school and was about to finish her studies...

Aegis looked at her work and evaluation to just be sure that general Ironwood was not playing any tricks in shadows, and to Aegis relief, he didn't found any, so he just made a note to observe his sister in the future...

Another minor change was Aegis and Weiss training as Harriet finally joined them, and both Weiss and Aegis found out that with Harriet new gained confidence, no matter how little, she could be very vicious in battle when provoked enough...

Weiss was fighting with refined techniques; Harriet was more of the instinctual beast that could use any opportunity no matter how small to the maximum effect...

Even if Weiss is winning most of the spars with Harriet, it was clear to Aegis that they are best sparring partners for each other as Weiss will gain experience in fighting against instinctual fighter and vice versa for Harriet...

Sometimes Aegis made them fight against him together to let them feel how teamwork works, and he was not disappointed...

In short, Aegis had fun with his little sisters, and he could see that with Harriet around, Weiss was finally able to think about something other than him or training...

Of course, Aegis knew that Weiss is closer to him than you would typically expect from a little sister, but he couldn't fault her as he himself felt the same for her...

But he would wait and observe if that isn't just some stage before he would make a move, at least until his little sister will not be fifteen years old with him being seventeen or eighteen...

As Aegis was thinking about his strange feelings towards his family, there was a crash outside of his office doors, and Harriet with Weiss come running to him in panic...

"What happened?!"

Aegis asked, worried for his sister's safety.

"Big b-brother th-here is flaming bird f-following m-me!"

Harriet said, scared as she and Weiss were gasping for air...

Aegis standing up he made his way towards his sisters until he saw flaming orange or red chicken flaying towards Harriet...

"Oh no, you don't!"

Aegis said with anger and immediately used his secret to reach his sisters in a millisecond punching the flaming bird away from them...

"SCCREEEEEEEEE."

It cries with pain as it was crushed against the wall...

Aegis looked at the bird with a critical eye as he usually wouldn't worry about the animal, but after he met with a strange crow, he was unwilling to take chances...

Not with his sister's safety on the plate...

"If you can understand me to tell me one reason to not made you riddled with holes."

Aegis said as he shielded his trembling sisters...

The bird gave a weak nod of its head and dropped some kind of mail on the floor...

"Droid, bring it to me, and you bird will stay on the place."

Aegis said with a commanding tone as his eyes didn't leave the bird even on second...

One of the more human-looking droids that Aegis built for works that needed human touch brought the mail to Aegis, who ordered to open it carefully...

Hogwarts? Wizards? Witchcraft?!

The more Aegis read, the more his eye twitch...

Headmaster Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore...

Aegis eye twichted more...

Accepting Harriet to some school or possibly full of delusional imbeciles?

Cauldrons? Quilts?! Dragonhide gloves?!?

Aegis hand started to twicht...

And as Aegis was about to punch the bird once again for bringing this absurd letter to him, he stopped when he read another information...

To Harriet Schnee Potter living in Schnee Mansion room number 309...

That information was not known to almost anybody...

Aegis looked at the flaming bird with a gaze that didn't hold any emotion as he spoke...

"If you can speak or communicate in any manner, do it now or never."

As Aegis said, numerous glyphs appeared around the flaming bird, which immediately saw it was not welcome and somehow burst into flames as it tried to run but not before Aegis maimed it with numerous ice spikes from his glyphs...

After that, Aegis looked at his sisters and, more importantly, at Harriet, who he kneeled in front of and said gently...

"Don't worry. I will not let you go without you want."

Aegis said with warmth, and Harriet just nodded as she and Weiss hugged Aegis, who looked at the place the bird was a moment ago...

In Ancient castle and in one of the towers where was a room full of numerous trinkets and paintings that were moving ancient-looking wizard was looking at his phoenix familiar that was supposed to bring the girl with him back from any place she was in...

"Fawkes, what happened?"

The wizard asked the now named phoenix Fawkes that was constantly burning himself and reforging as if he could not gain back the proper form...

The old wizard sighed as he looked at what could be a potential problem as he never saw the phoenix in such a state, but then he ignored him in the prospect of looking at the book where the name he was last month searching almost everywhere on earth was written...
