Snowflake
As the world raged in the war between non-magical and magical, the consequences were far-reaching, affecting even the civilization forgotten lands of the world, by it of that non-magical or magical.
And in all of that chaos, one country was relatively silent, Britain that was the starting point of the war was the most peaceful in the coming days, even if both wizards and non-magical military readied up for the fight, nobody dared to make the first move as they feared of the island in the sky.

"Go go go!"
Commanded one of the soldiers as they rushed into the room that was reported hiding wizards.
"BOMBARDA!"
"Shit! Take cover!"
Cried out soldiers as they took cover behind walls and furniture as they returned the fire with their guns.
The follow-up skirmish was devastating as explosive spells against gunfire and grenades were exchanged from one party to another.
"Got him!"
Said one of the younger soldiers as he shot the wizard into the stomach.
"Gurhg... I-I will not give you this win muggle."
Snarled wizard, and before the soldier could gun him down, spell was uttered.
"FIENDFIRE!"
And as such the skirmish ended as three of fifteen soldiers ran from the building that was now devoured in flames.
"FUCK AGAIN THAT DEVIL FIRE! CALL FOR SUPPORT!"
Commander ordered as he gave another order of evacuation as they already had experience with the fire that couldn't be put down by normal means.
This was just one of hundreds or even thousands of operations that were taking place throughout the entire world, sometimes wizards won, and sometimes non-magical's got lucky shots.
But the more the war progressed the more military heads thought about just bombing buildings where the magical's were hiding, as the losses of soldiers were already in high charts.

Screamed little boy as he watched the house burn and the strange clothed people taking him by force from his parents that were in the building.
"Sir, he is a wizard."
"I know, there is already a system in place for children like him, they will teach him standards of our ways and make him use his powers for USA betterment."
Said the captain of the squad as he ignored the cries of a child whose parents were killed after rejecting to betray their magical brethen.

"BOMBARDA MAXIMA!"
Screamed wizard as he shot another spell at the armored monstrosity the muggles called tanks.
"BOMBARDA MAXIMA!"
"BOMBARDA!"
"WHY CAN'T YOU JUST DIE!"
The wizard screamed as the turret of the tank aimed at his hiding spot.
"Shitte!!"
The wizard uttered as he apparated to another place just to continue bombarding the tank with his spells.
What he didn't know was that tanks were built to withstand such fire, as the spell even if explosive, didn't have the penetrating power of cannon shell for which defenses of the tanks were built for.

"HIDE! SUBDUE THEM THEY ARE MIND FUCKED!"
Screamed one of the soldiers just to die as his friend drove a knife into his chest.
The military base was in flames as numerous soldiers were being imperioused to create havoc and kill their brothers in arms.

"ARE THESE FUKING DRAGONS?!"
Screamed one of the helicopter pilots as he saw one mythical being pummel into another helicopter.
"FUCK FIRE! FIRE! KILL THAT FUCKING LIZARD!"
Such sky battle was being made above one of the numerous cities.

"EVADA KEDAWRA!"
Wizard uttered a spell that was starting to be normally used in these days as the war progressed on one of the muggles that were screaming as he ran at him with some device in hand.
"Shit, crazy muggles."
The wizard said just to be surprised by sudden pain as the muggle body blew up.

"THE DEVILS SPAWN!"
"PUT THEM ON FIRE!"
Screamed mob of people as the police tried to pry them away from the crying children and bound people.
This was just another of events, with the coming of magic the church, not just Christian one but all religions, gained spike of believers as the idea of god or reincarnation was no longer so farfetched, and with it came hatred for magic that was called as devil gift.

The crowd of wizards screamed in rage as the spokesman smiled.
And with his smile, one of the muggles' hospital buildings was lit on fire as payback for bombing their own hospital in the magical alley.

Hatred and anger were being nurtured as atrocities were being made on both sides of war, and in all of that, someone finally chose to make a move.
Aegis calmly walked out of Sentinel base as he made his way to down, with each step, there was a flicker of air and blue light as stairs were being made under his steps.
Those who watched it, it seemed as regal walk of the king that was generous enough to let the world bask in his presence.
To Aegis, it was just one of the psychological games he wanted to send to the minds of people, to make them understand that he and his family are on another level.
And after a while of walking, he finally stopped just outside of Britain royal palace gates as he sat down and again with a flicker of light, there was an entire throne on what Aegis was sat down as he was still in the air.
In truth, it was a common use of hard-light technology that became common in Solitas kingdom, but to this world, it could seem like magic.
"Well, will you bring your rulers? Or do I need to go myself?"
Aegis asked calmly as he wanted to be seen as a calm and understanding person, again putting himself into an image of a regal king.
Normally Aegis wouldn't need to as Solitas, no entire Remnant knew of his cold personality, but there he was unknown and if he wanted to make them bend to his will, then he would instead do it with their love and not fear.
Still Aegis understood the need of balance between love and fear, that was the reason he showed his powers with glyphs and hard-light and showed his smile and manners to gain awe and adoration of masses who watched him from the ground.
"I hope we didn't let you wait for us, but we already aren't the youngest ones."
Said elderly woman as she smiled at Aegis way who returned his smile as he stood from his throne that evaporated in a flicker of light.
"No, I do understand that time doesn't wait on anybody."
Aegis said as he gave a respectful bow to the queen of England, not of some submissiveness, but from the mere fact that she was queen longer than he and as such it was just polite to show respect for her, no matter how much Aegis is powerful, it was just question of good manners.
"Im sorry for not coming earlier, but some matters took my time, but let me introduce myself."
Aegis said and behind him to the alarm of guards and people below gargantuan glyph in the form of snowflake materialized.
"Im Aegis Schnee, King of Solitas, the Snowflake king."
Aegis said with a smile to people as, from the snowflake glyph, true snowflakes started to fall, bringing chill and coldness to everyone who understood the significance of such power.
