Chapter 8

(1 year later) Current Date 289 AC

Greg has grown his business around the city in the last year, opening three more taverns. Greg purchased several Ninja from the System shop and had them gather information from around Qohor, resulting in the establishment of the spy network. He brought 20 female Ninjas and 20 male Ninjas, costing a total of 2,000 system points, including their gear.

The Male Ninja was tasked with gathering information and keeping an eye on the numerous magisters in the city while using the ladies as maids for the magisters. He didn't only have spies in Qohor, he dispatched ten Ninja to the other Free cities to form a spy network.

The main place he wanted to have eyes on at all times it Pentos since he wanted to Save Daenerys from what will happen to her in a few years and obtain the Dragon eggs.

Since Greg's taverns began to acquire popularity in the city, the city's Magisters have been attempting to keep an eye on him. People appreciated the beer that was prepared in his taverns. And his mercenary group has grown in popularity as they have accepted numerous requests and always completed them, as well as the strength of the soldiers, which has caused some issues as the Magisters attempted to hire some of his soldiers, but Greg rejected their offers, causing the Magisters to become enraged because they were unable to manipulate Greg and gain more power for themselves.

So Greg's relationship with the Magisters has been deteriorating, but the Magisters haven't moved yet, so Greg will continue to build up his power and army until the day comes where he will take over the city.

Greg didn't just relax during this time since he had visited many of the other Free Cities and had participated in several of the cities' Tournaments. Aleanna was initially opposed to this since she couldn't defend him if he was in a competition, but she was reassured when the opponents proved to be weak in comparison to Greg. After numerous tournaments in which he defeated many individuals (primarily slaves), he achieved a lot of reputation and was even offered to join various Magisters, but he declined since he didn't want to serve under anybody and had larger intentions than joining them.

The Dothraki and Greg have had several encounters over the course of the year, with Greg always coming out on top and even earning the respect of the Dothraki, who see Greg as a formidable fighter. Greg had also considered assuming control of the Dothraki city of Vaes Dothrak and assuming the title of Khal of the Dothraki, which would give him a sizable army and dominance over Essos.

Throughout the year, the system had only assigned him a few Quests, and those that he had accomplished merely rewarded him system points. He assumed this was the case because he wasn't ready for another quest or he'd have to fulfill some sort of criterion for the next one.

The total number of men he had increased to 500, the majority of them are presently stationed at a little fortress Greg had secretly built in the forests near Qohor. The stronghold would be used to house the extra soldiers Greg didn't want in the city since such a huge army would be too much for the city. 200 Gondor infantry, 100 Royal Mamluk, 50 High elf Archers, 144 Spartan troops, and 6 Royal Spartan Guard made up his force.

His current total System points were 21,340, and he intended to save them unless he needed something right away. Greg intended to travel to Westeros to gain renown from the tournaments there, leaving Arin in control of the armies in Essos, but first, he needed a ship, which he would purchase with Gold Honors rather than using the system because he had made so much money coming in from the Taverns.

He planned to travel to Westeros with 50 Spartans and the 6 Royal Spartan Guards in order to further his soldier's renown. He also intended to see Eddard Stark and maybe Jon Snow in order to befriend him and earn Eddard Stark's favor.

Greg was on his way to Myr, where he planned to purchase a ship large enough to transport all of his men and supplies. The trip would take them two weeks to complete, and they would all be riding horses, with Greg bringing his two wolves along for the journey.
