Chapter 91

The Great Eagle's were able to bring the Artillery to the camp by morning and at Sunrise the Dwarves along with the Praetorian Guards were lined up in front of the Walls of Kingslanding. The Artillery was in front of them while they were standing behind it.

They did this just in case one of the Artillery malfunction's and hit friendly soldiers. And because standing directly in front of Cannon's was not a wise choice.

Also, because of Cannons a battering ram had become completely obsolete since basically the Cannons can just blast open the Gates of a castle or city from a distance without wasting lives. And that is exactly what they were going to do.

Maximus had decided to sit this battle out, since there was no use in him joining in when he could just leave it to his General's and commander's to lead the army.

But, once the gate's and the walls are taken, he will make his move by flying his Air force to the Red Keep and taking control of the Castle.

Frankly, he could just end the battle by doing that, but what's the point of bringing an army if he is just going to show it off to the enemy. Plus, he knew that this was a major battle that would determine the fate of the Continent, and all of his soldiers were eager to participate in it. Some just to fight, while other's for the glory and rewards.

Anyway, back to the siege, the Dwarves were the front line soldier's line-up in formation behind the Artillery. Behind the Dwarves were the Praetorian Guards lined up in formation as well with Sword's and shield's.

The Elven Archer's were lined up behind the Praetorian Guards with their bows and arrows. The Elven Spearman would be a reinforcement unit that would only be used to assist any part of the frontline that begins to fall or be pushed back, or when the frontline needs fresh troops. Once the troops are changed out, the ones who are tired and injured will return to the camp and get healed and rested before returning to the battle.

While the army was lined up already, the soldiers on the wall's had already taken noticed and notified their commander's that a possible attack was about to begin.

Unlike before when the army only lined up in front of the walls to show Cersei the army of Dwarves so that it would make her angry, this time the attack was real and the Lannister commander's on the wall knew it once they saw the Cannon's that they heard so much about.

They knew from the report's that the Cannon's could make a hole in the wall of any castle and even break down the gate's of the Castle, and they didn't want to risk losing a lot of soldier's to those Cannon's so the Commander of the army defending the Southern part of the wall Ser Daven Lannister had commanded the army to abandon the walls so that they can avoid any casualties from the artillery and because he had another plan.

Once the Cannon's open up a hole in the wall, Ser Daven Lannister will wait until the Imperial army charges through the hole then once the soldiers are caught between two broken walls on the side of them and the Lannister men in front of them they will throw the bottle's of Wildfire at the Gap and once the soldiers start crossing it they will have their archer's shoot fire arrows which will ignite the Wildfire into an explosion killing hundreds of soldiers.

But that plan wouldn't work since the Imperial spies have already found out about the wildfire and Maximus already sent Ninja in to replace the Wildfire with something else. Of course, what ever they replaced it with was the same color so that nobody would get suspicious of it and find out.

And Maximus didn't forget about the Dornish as they are tasked with attacking 3 of the 6 Gate's of Kingslanding Which were the Iron Gate, the Dragon Gate, and then the Old Gate. While the other three gates, the gates of the gods, the Lion's Gate, and the King's Gate were being attacked by the Imperial army.

As the Artillery began its barrage of the walls, the Lannister soldier's had already left the walls and were now behind the walls, hiding in the various street's of Kingslanding.

The Streets were also another thing that they would use to their advantage, since all they had to do was hold off the soldier's attacking them while both their sides and their rear was covered, leaving them to only focus on the front.

With this they could hold key position's in the city that offered them a lot of advantages and only a small amount of disadvantages such as if they somehow get flanked then they will be trapped with nowhere left to go. Also, they would be sitting ducks for archer's since they had to hold a position.

Of course, they have their own archer's, but their archer's don't stand a chance in a battle between archer's with the Empire, that much they know. And they can't block arrow's while also fighting with an enemy, since that was just impossible, so the only chance they got was hoping that they could hold long enough to beat the attacking army.

Daenerys noticed that the Lannister's had moved from the wall's avoiding taking unnecessary casualties, something that she praised them for since they played it smart. But in the end, the outcome would be the same whether they stayed or not.
