Yeah! Here's the new chapter!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My family and I continued talking and joking for a while longer, with me showing them that Cele's necklace allowed her to change her outfit into more than just a princess dress.
And I also told them about some of the basic functions of the necklace while explaining how I had enchanted it, earning surprised and proud looks from Nick and Penny.
And the six of us were so involved in our family moment that we even forgot about the other people who were in the room with us, watching us intently.
However, this didn't last long, as someone decided to interrupt our moment.
"Your sister really does look pretty in that dress," a mature, female voice said, causing me to turn around.
And looking back I saw Fleur, Gabi, a man with a diplomatic look, and a beautiful and elegant blonde woman coming towards us, and the person who spoke was the woman, who was looking at me with a friendly smile.
This woman had a beautiful appearance that was almost ethereal and unnatural, and as soon as my gaze focused on her I could feel a type of magic reaching my senses, trying to infiltrate my mind.
However, this magic was one that I had become quite familiar with this school year, and so I was able to ignore and block it without any problems.
And considering this magic that was quite unique and characteristic of a certain group of magical beings, and the fact that this woman was accompanying my Beauxbatons champion friend, I easily deduced who this woman was.
"Hello Mrs. Delacour, Mr. Delacour" I greeted the two adults, Fleur and Gabi's parents.
"Oh, you know who I am?" the older Veela asked, a look of surprise on her face.
And Fleur's mother wasn't surprised that I had guessed who she was. Actually, she was surprised that I was still acting normally even after looking at her.
'Even though he's so close to me and looking directly at me, his expression and body language didn't change' she looked at me impressed, 'It seems Fleur wasn't exaggerating when she said he was resistant to our Allure'
Mrs. Delacour already knew that I could ignore the magic of Veela allure because Fleur had told her so, but she thought that faced with the allure of a fully mature Veela I would have reacted at least a little, blinking in confusion or even being a little dazed.
'Not even Jean, who has been married to me for years and is the person I know who has the greatest resistance to our allure, can completely ignore it,' Mrs. Delacour thought, looking at me more intently as she felt her interest in me grow.
And I didn't know what she was thinking, but I could feel her surprise and her growing interest in me.
But I didn't think much of it, as I thought those feelings were because she had realized how young I, the champion with the most achievements in the Tri-Wizard tournament, was.
And without knowing that I was wrong I began to answer Mrs. Delacour's question.
"Well, yes, I know who you are because Fleur already told me a little about you two," I replied, taking Fleur's mother out of her thoughts.
"Hmm, I see," and Mrs. Delacour, who had easily overcome her surprise and managed to keep her emotions from showing on her face, nodded, before continuing, "Well, even though you already know who we are I still think we should introduce ourselves," she said.
And after saying that she took a step forward, "I am Apolline Delacour, and this is my husband, Jean-Pierre Delacour, and we are Fleur and Gabrielle's parents," she said, gesturing to Mr. Delacour, who nodded at me in a friendly manner.
And he didn't seem at all bothered by his wife not letting him introduce himself, and in fact he even seemed used to it and amused by it.
And when she finished introducing herself and Fleur's father, I prepared to introduce myself too, but Mrs. Delacou didn't give me a chance to do so as she continued talking.
"And you must be Ethan Night, Hogwarts champion and the boy my daughter talks about so much, right?" she asked me, smiling mischievously as she stared at me.
And hearing that I blinked for a few seconds, before looking at Fleur who seemed to have frozen at her mother's question.
And even though I was also a little surprised by her question I quickly recovered, "Well, if what Fleur said about this Ethan Night was something good, then yes, I am him" I replied with a nod.
"Oh, what if what she said about him was something bad?" Fleur's mother asked with a raised eyebrow.
"In that case I have no idea who he is," I said, unable to stop myself from smiling mischievously.
"I see," Mrs. Delacour chuckled lightly, "But well, rest assured then Mr. Night, everything my daughter has said about you is nothing but good."
"Mom!" and Fleur, who had recovered from her paralyzed state, looked at her mother in shock with her cheeks flushing red.
"What? I didn't lie." Mrs. Delacour shrugged, unfazed by her daughter's glare.
And Mr. Delacour, not wanting his eldest daughter to be further embarrassed in front of us, decided to come to her rescue.
"So Mr. Night..." he began to say, trying to change the subject.
But before he could continue I raised my hand to interrupt him.
"Please call me Ethan. Mr. Night is the old man behind me." I pointed at my father with my thumb, who looked at me with a frown.
"Oh, I see," Mr. Delacour said, before continuing what he was saying before, "Well, in any case Ethan, I'm glad I was able to meet you today."
"Are you?" I looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes," he replied, "And in fact I have been looking for an opportunity to meet you and talk to you for some time now, as I would like to thank you for helping my daughters in the second task," he said.
"Oh, you don't need to thank me for that. I did it because I wanted to and because I'm friends with Fleur and Gabi," I said with a shrug, dismissing his thanks.
"A noble and loyal boy, I see." He nodded at my words.
Mr. Delacour then began to look at me thoughtfully, as if he was analyzing me, "You know, I've read about Hogwarts and I know a little about the four houses that the students are separated into, and from what I've learned about you I'm surprised that you're in Ravenclaw."
"Huh? What do you mean by that?" I looked at him blankly.
"What I mean is that someone with your characteristics and personality should be in Gryffindor or Hufflepuff," he replied, before seeming to remember something, "In fact considering everything you've done so far in the tournament makes me believe you really should be in Gryffindor."
And hearing this I felt my lips twitch, 'I understand how you came to that conclusion, and the Sorting Hat had actually considered sorting me into Gryffindor or Hufflepuff, but why did hearing you say that not sit well with me?'
And I didn't know what to say to Mr. Delacour, but that wasn't necessary because a new person decided to join the conversation.
"Gryffindor, hah... it would have been easier for this crazy boy to have ended up in Slytherin," Sirius said with a sarcastic smile, walking towards us with the rest of his group following him.
And his group was made up of Andy, Dora, Ted, Remus, and obviously Harry.
'It seems the Weasley family didn't come to this meeting' I thought as I noticed the absence of a group of red hair.
And I knew that the Weasleys weren't here because they weren't invited or didn't know about this meeting, since with Molly's personality, if there wasn't a reason or something stopping her, she would definitely have come here to show her support for Harry, even though Sirius was already here.
"You know…" Andy started to say, breaking me out of my thoughts, "While I agree that Ethan would make an excellent Slytherin, why do I feel like you said that in an offensive way?" she asked, frowning at her cousin.
"Err..." And Sirius, who had forgotten that his cousin was a proud Slytherin, began to sweat under her gaze, "Well... Actually I... Uh..." He began to stutter.
And seeing him acting like this, Dora and I couldn't help but mock him, "Scared dog" we said, with her coughing into her hand to disguise her speech while I looked disdainfully at the dog man.
And being mocked so directly and in front of so many people, Sirius felt his eye twitch.
"You..." he looked at both of us with a grimace, and he only didn't take out his wand and start jinxing us because he was under the watchful and frightening eyes of Andy and my mom.
And the two Delacour adults were not surprised by the intrusion of Sirius' group because they knew that my family knew them, since they had arrived here at Hogwarts together.
And looking at our exchange and our jokes, Mr. and Mrs. Delacour could not help but smile, finding us a very amusing and peculiar group.
'I think I'm starting to understand why Fleur seems to like this place so much' Mrs. Delacour thought, looking at her daughter who looked happy and peaceful as she looked at a certain amber eyed boy.
End.
