Chapter 7- I Defeat Than Life Sea Monster

Percy's POV

After one month of training with my water powers, I decided to go to the bottom of the ocean to gain the sea's allegiance. As I stepped into the ocean, what I first realized was I immune to cold as the seas and oceans in Alaska are freezing cold, I instantly felt energised like I could travel 30km in 1 hour.

As I swimming to the bottom of the ocean fishes and sea monsters alike were greeting me saying milord, master, lord, etc.

When I reached the bottom of the ocean a monster the size of the Empire State Building and more swam out of an underwater cave which I recognized as a Megalodon (apparently when Pontus and Hydros gave him their power he was able to identify any type of sea monster), it had the head of a shark and the body of a giant squid, I widened my eyes.

"What are you doing here? how are breathing underwater? Are you a son of Poseidon? Wha-" I cut it off my head was seriously spinning with all the questions.

"Woah calm down buddy, I am not going anywhere, who are you?" I asked it.

"I am Megalon the king of sea monsters who are you to trespass on my territory speak or I'll eat you" I rolled my eyes

"I am Perseus Achilles Jackson, the successor of Pontus, Hydros and Pagoma, bow down and I will not smite you", I said with as much bravado as I could muster I expected him to bow, what I didn't expect was for him to laugh

"I have to admit you are brave but I can practically smell the fear coming off you in waves, tell you, we will fight if you win, I will swear my allegiance to the new sea primordial"

"Bring it on Mega," I said.

"So shall it be". He said swimming towards me he opened his mouth wide, when I saw his teeth I realized coming to meet a sea monster without a weapon was a big mistake on my part as I start swimming as fast as I can towards him as I reach he just opened his mouth and swallowed me as I fell screaming into Mega's stomach.

I then stood on his tongue feeling mad at myself, the primordials who saved me from my miserable life, all my hatred, pain, anger, sadness, I let it all out I felt as if my mind was telling me to let it all go.

As I forsook all my negative feelings, I felt power flowing through me, I opened my eyes and clenched my fists and suddenly in the water a beautiful trident materialized, right in front of me, it was glowing and had sea-green swirls coiling around it, as I held it, I felt the power of the oceans and seas thrumming through it, it was made of chaotic silver, I let out a roar and stabbed Megalon right on his big tongue, I could feel him screaming, the wind blowing through his mouth as he let out a scream, immediately he opened his mouth, I swam with as much speed as I could muster out of his mouth and stood in front of him.

If sharks could widen their eyes I am sure Mega's would be widened right now when he saw me with the trident.

"The trident of Pontus has given you allegiance, meaning you are truly the primordial of the seas, well it doesn't mean I can't still defeat you," he said.

"As you wish," I told him as I sped towards him, he wasn't expecting me to be suicidal, as he wasn't ready for my charge, I used my unlocked powers over water to propel myself at incredible speeds, I plunged the trident into his

eyes and swam back, I could vaguely hear him screaming at the back of my back.

The next five minutes were a sequence of stabs and slices on every part of his body, his eyes, tentacles, when I was done with him, he looked like he had gone through a super large blender.

"I gotta say Mega you look like you've seen better days, do you accept me as your King?" I said.

 If large shark-squid hybrids could bow, then he definitely did. "Yes, milord".

Then he shouted,

"All hail, Our Lord, Perseus Jackson, the primordial god of the seas and God of us seas monsters". He announced in a loud voice.

Then all sea monsters and deep water sea creatures converged at the bottom of the ocean shouting, "long live the King". I was already feeling uncomfortable as I never liked people or in this case fishes and sea monsters, I think Megalon saw me feeling uncomfortable so he quickly sent them away.

"My lord, Lord Pontus once told me that when he fades that I should train his successor, so let say I'm your new trainer till you're ready, it's going to be really brutal," he said sounding excited that he was going to cause me pain.

"I look forward to training with you, hope you get the sarcasm", I said while rolling my eyes and swimming away, I could practically hear him cursing me in my head.

I left the water and went back to the hotel feeling extremely cold but it doesn't affect water at any temperature doesn't affect me and went to my room feeling very tired.
