I sighed deeply just after I entered my car. I don't want to leave Lina by herself but I really need to take this meeting. And I can't take Lina since people or in our case, wolves might ask thousand of questions that I'm sure, Lina isn't ready to answer.

I took my phone from my pocket and called some of my loyal wolf servants.

After the second ring. He answered.

"Kirby, I am going to the pura lupus right now."

"Sir, is there anything you need help with?"

"Yes, can you go to my pack house and look after Lina? The girl I took home last time, remember her?"

"Oh , yes sir no problem , do you want me to have other wolves as stand by guards?"

"Yes but choose only those who you trust. And don't act suspicious I don't want to worry her. That's all."

I ended the call before he answer and start starting the car.

Pura lupus pack wanted a meeting as a thank you gift because lycanthrope pack helped them last time they had a big problem by their arms. They might invite some wolves from different pack that I do not know.

After a long hour ride. I stopped infront of a big mansion with gates closed.

Noticing the guards, I roll down my window and immediately they noticed me.

They opened the gate and I'm welcomed by a large circle shaped drive way with a fountain in the middle.

Parking my car I went inside the mansion greeted by the officials of the pack.

The meeting went by quickly and uneventful. My mind is constantly drifting on Lina.

What might she be doing now? Finding for foods of course. That's one of the things I like about her. She is never shy about her eating.

She doesn't care. "I want to eat deal with it." She said.

"Elize sir?"

My grin is wiped off of my face as I focused my attention on the meeting.

"Yes?"

"As a gift of appreciation to your packs help. I would like to give you one of my loyal and strong guards to help you on your everyday life."

My eyebrows rose up to that. Guard huh.

"Are you sure I can trust this guard?"

"Absolutely sir. If you have issue on him you can contact me and have my head as a punishment."

He submitted.

Oh. So that's how confident he is. I guess I'll give it a shot. Its not like I'm going to lose something. Besides, pura lupus is a loyal and kind pack. I'm sure they wouldn't put my pack in tragedy.

I gave him a polite smile slowly nodding in appreciation.

"Thank you, Julian. So, can I meet this guard of yours?"

"I'm sorry he is not here at the moment. But he is on his way. Let us eat dinner first shall we?"

I actually want to go home to my Lina but, I guess a few minutes of dinner will not harm me.

I texted my guard knowing the situation on my house. They texted me back that nothings suspicious and everything is normal.

I let out a sigh of relief.

The dinner went by smoothy. Talking about pack business and all.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. Thinking this as an excuse to the boring conversation of the elders.

"Please excuse me"

I said standing up walking on the terrace near the dining hall.

Before I answered the call. I felt two soft hands wrap my arms. I turned around noticing Marianne.

Marianne is a white wolf's mate. She is basically a power hungry slut, and a bitch.

She slept with me last time when I was drunk. I admit its my fault but not having a chosen mate for a long time messed up my hormones.

A month after that she says that she is pregnant with my child. A conceiving bitch. I know I'm drunk but I used condom. I'm not irresponsible. We tested it out and turns out its his mates baby. She wanted to be mated to a lycanthrope.

As if being mated to a white wolf isn't enough for her.

"We met again Elize"

She said running his hands on my chest. The phone in my pocket still vibrating.

"Marianne."

I acknowledged her presence with a nod and turns around.

"Elize, it looks like you still haven't found your chosen yet." She bite her lips. "I told you, my offer still stands. Nobody can keep you powerful and satisfied as I can."

She tiptoed and leans for a kiss but I'm quick to dodge it. She is wrong. I already chose my mate.

"Marianne, you have a loving mate inside that very room there. And as if I want to catch some disease that you had. And if you must know I already chosen a mate and she is million times better than you. So please leave me alone."

I clench my jaw finding the girl irritating.

I walk to the other side of the hall and answered the phone.

"What?!" I snapped. My mood constantly changed to irritated and tired at the same time.

"U-um" her voice is barely a whisper. Like an angel. I immediately felt bad. I didn't check who the caller was.

I cleared my throat "Lina baby sorry. I didn't check the name."

I felt a bit calm hearing her voice. I let out a tired sigh.

"Is everything okay? Wai- what are those noise?"

I heard her ask worriedly. She must be hearing the clattering noises in the dining hall.

"That must be the white pack, they invited me to dinner to seal things out I'm already tired." I said letting out another tired sigh.

"Oh. The white packs? Wait, what time will you be returning home?"

She asked. Her question brought a smirk on my lips.

My baby missed me and she doesn't even know she's my chosen mate.

"Why? You miss me already?" I said voicing my thoughts.

"No! Ass!. I'm just wondering you know?" She stuttered. I can almost imagine her blushing and covering her face with her hair.

"Heyy baby how long are you there come on"

I heard Marianne behind me immediately cursing. Lina might have heard it!

"Ba-"

"I-i gotta go sleep goodnight" she hurriedly said, ending the call.

I cursed more glaring at smirking Marianne.

"You! Just wait till I see you next time."

I find her waste of time. My mind and body wants to go home to my Lina. To clear misunderstanding. She must have thought I leave her for a girl.

No never! I would never do that.

Muttering a quick goodbye to the elders I rush into my car.

"Sir! I'll send the guard in your place tomorrow morning."

Julian shouted. And I answered a quick okay.

I pressed the gas and drive like a maniac. I don't want her to be sad. And its because of me.
