Chapter 21

Its been three days and Eli has been avoiding me since he received the call. I don't know if I did anything wrong, I also tried to talk about our friends about that but they just look sympathetically on me. Some of them knew something. I know that but they won't tell me.

Now he is in one of his meetings again. I don't know why he conducted so many meetings. Is it just to avoid me? Is he regretting the decision of making me his mate? Already? How cruel can Moon Goddess be? Am I going to be rejected again? Just like what happened back then?

"Luna Lina, are you alright?" I heard Cee called behind me.

"I don't know Cee, he's been avoiding me." I said my shoulder slumped.

"Well, I'm sure there is a reason for that. Es is in the meeting that Alpha Elize conducted so if you want I'll ask him later on what's happening."

"Could it possibly be rogues?" I asked her but she immediately shake her head at me, her silver white flocks shining by the light of the sun.

"I think no, but I'm not sure there has been no rogue sightings that is happening as in zero. We patrolled every day but even a whiff of their smell, nothing."

Well that's weird. No rogues for like, a week? I mean that must be a good sign but I can't help but feel that there is so much to that.

I sat on the sofa deciding to watch some shows to entertain myself while waiting for him. Before I knew it, my eyes begin to drop and I'm asleep.

I woke up to the sound of the door being slammed. When I look on the door I saw him.

His always neat hair seems rugged like he has been running his fingers on it all the time. His neat and young face looked more mature because of stubbles growing from his jaw. His happy and full of humor eyes are blank and covered with black bags underneath.

What happened?

"Eli!" I stand up and followed him all the way to his room.

"Elize wait!" I noticed him stopped. His shoulders are tense.

I walked up to him and face him.

"What? I don't have time for this things Lina" He said almost pleading but I can sense the tiredness on his voice.

Is he tired of me?

"W-whats the problem?" I tried to ask but he quickly dismissed me using his hand.

"I said I don't have time for this Lina please leave me alone."

"Leave you alone?! A-are you regretting me being here?" I asked him. My heart is hurt on his words. I swallowed the lump on my throat and tears are slowly trickling down my face.

"No, I'm just tired."

"Tired?! Or maybe you're just tired of me! Just say you're tired and want me to leave you alone! I'll do whatever you want! I'll leave you alone!" And with that I stormed away from him and went to mine then lock my own room.

"Lina! Baby its not that. Please listen to me."

I heard him say while banging the door.

"You want me to leave you alone right?! You're tired right?! I'm doing what you want Eli!" I shouted. My voice is quivering in pain. My throat hurts a bit because of the lump of tears that I'm controlling.

"No! No, I'm sorry . I just had problem I really need to solve this one out."

"Well that problem is slowly drifting you away from me!" I said still not opening the door.

This is like deja vu. Him wanting to go inside and me being stubborn not opening the door.

"No no baby please hear me out first."

Not taking his pleading tone. I immediately gave up and opened the door.

We both sit on my bed and he showered me with kisses. Pecking me with places that he can. In my whole face and even my hair strand. That's how sorry he is.

"No! No. Explain." I said firmly.

He took a deep inhale and exhaled as he start his story.

Oh boy, this is going to be a long story.

Elize

I bit my lip as my imaginations got wilder second by second. My mate Lina is just a door away from me, showering. I calmed myself done earning a small chuckle from me. I can't believe how much she makes me feel without even her trying something to me. As she went outside of the bathroom, she flashed me a megawatt smile.

I was planning to watch some horror movie with her all night. My phone started ringing. Who would call me at this hour?

"I'll take this. Wait for me okay?"

I said quickly going out on her room.

I read the contact that is calling me again.

Council

It says. Why would they call me?

"Uh, hello?"

"Is this Elize Winters from the Lycanthrope pack?" I heard an elder voice on the other line.

"Yes, may I ask why did the council called me?"

"We have been informed that you, Elize from the Lycanthrope pack stole Alpha Jasen Collins mate from crescent pack-"

"Wh-what?! Wait!? What?"

"Sir. I think you already knew the regulations but you can't just take a mated female from another pack to be your mate. Its against the law firm of the counci-"

"Wait! You don't understand! Jas-"

"If you don't give his mate back within a week, a war is declared by Alpha Jasen Collins."

And with that he hung up on me.

I can't believe Jasen would go that far to get Lina just to abuse her! I can't let this happen.

'Micah, gather the Lycans and the white wolves we need emergency meeting right now. No more questions.'

I gritted my jaw. I with not let him have Lina. I will protect my mate no matter what. No matter how big this war will be.

If he wants war. I'll give him war.
