We informed other packs about what's really happening. Some of them are pretty convinced but some of them looked too loyal to Alpha Jasen. All the warriors that we can gather on our sides are training non stop.
The other pack that we had convinced offered help which we gladly accept. We need all help that we can.
The weekdays are slowly dissipating. It is now Friday. And we expect the war to start either Saturday or Sunday. Though we were not sure. Jasen isn't the one to follow the rules.
That's why Eli planned a surprise attack. He planned to attack Friday night, sneak in to the territory and eliminate those who needs to be eliminated.
Unfair fight, I know. But in this battle, its kill or to be killed. That's what Eli said to me. Being smart is the key to survival. We are outnumbered. By our estimation, Jasen has twenty packs alongside with him, we have the lycanthrope, some volunteers from white wolves, and approximately five to ten warriors per pack that we convinced.
We had hundred of warriors in total. Jasen probably had thrice.
"How are you?"
My thoughts are interrupted when Eli put his arms around my waist pulling me with a quite tight hug.
"Physically I'm fine"
"But?"
"But mentally, I'm not"
He looked at me looking rather willing to listen than to talk. So I talked.
"I-i just can't imagine, that wolves would get hurt o-or worse they could die because of me!"
I panicked a bit as my thoughts begun to hunt me. I've been getting nightmares these past few days. Nightmares about wolves dying from the war. Families crying in agony because of what they lost.
Eli shushed me then rubbed my arm.
"Don't ever think like that! These warriors knew what they get in to. They know the consequences and they accept it because that's how a warrior would be. Our warriors will try our best not to kill but to hurt them just enough not to fight."
"I-i know I wish the best for this war. I will not forgive myself if something bad happens." I sighed deeply already feeling the burning sensation of guilt inside me.
"I know baby" he cupped my cheeks.
"You will stay here and ensure the safety of some of the warriors family. The war is dange-"
I cut him of by that. What does he mean by stay here?! I will not stay here and just wait for what will happen!
"No! I will go and fight alongside of you!"
"Its dangerous!! If anything will happen to you I don't know what to do anymore!" He raised his voice.
"I need you to stay here and fight for you guys safety in case something happened. You're a Luna, you're my Luna and I trust you with that."
He finished with a kiss on my forehead. I realize what he said. He is right. Someone has to stay here. And that would be Cee and Me to fight for safety.
A loud horn suddenly interrupted our talk. Just a few seconds later, a series of shouting cascaded outside.
Eli looked at my face and quickly took a glance outside.
Bunch of wolves are attacking the unshifted warriors taking them down.
Instead of us doing the surprise attack, it seems like they outsmart us.
Eli quickly darted outside and pivoted his steps to face me.
"Go to the safe room underground. Take every non warriors with you." He ordered me while cupping my cheeks. I didn't notice the streaks of tears streaming down on it.
I only answered with a nod.
"Good. I'll order Cee to protect you. P-please be safe."
He finished his sentence with a deep kiss. And turn around to face the fight. But not before I stopped him.
"Elize!"
He then turn around.
"I, I love you"
He responded with an "I love you more. And don't be sad, I'll cook you your favorite burnt pancakes after this war." He finished off with a wink as if he is sure to get out of here.
But we both know the chances are 60/40. We are outnumbered and they took us by surprise.
Snapping on my thoughts I began to make my way on the safe room noticing some of the people are already there. I gather some elders and young kids in it too. Cee decided to have a silver bullet guns on our side in case something went wrong.
She closed the door and we sit and wait for minutes and minutes of torture.
Eli
How did they know? The surprise attack. How did they knew it! We are doomed. Completely doomed. Outnumbered and took us by surprise. I injured already tens of wolves their number seems to not end.
Some of the Lycans are doing pretty good too but the numbers exhaust us. We are already fighting for about half an hour and the numbers seems to be cut down to half.
My warriors still hadn't see Jasen.
I bite the wolf's leg and threw him in the big tree. I feel someone pushing my walls I built up in my head to concentrate. But dismissed it. I need to focus on injuring wolves or else. One wrong move and tables would've turned.
As I slammed the wolf down, I noticed that little by little they are backing off.
What's happening? Did they admit defeat?
I was already tired and from the looks of that, my allies are tired too.
The atmosphere suddenly turned cold. Instead of warm irritating humidity. It became cold. Cold as dead.
Wolves began to retreat and as they walk backwards, a shadow figure appear.
Jasen. Not only Jasen. But a smirking Jasen with unconscious Lina in his hold.
He captured her! How can this be-!
I released out a loud growl that made the soil shake.
I will not let Jasen take her away again.
He only smirked at me.
This prick!
