PRINCE: Are You a Thief?

Ella stared at the decoration colorful balloons and ribbons, her eyes dazzled by the magnificent decorations. The food was abundant, making her stomach sound.

Ella took a pudding from the table full of various cake dishes. She also took some colorful candy which she tucked in her pocket.

"Ella?!" Laras called and surprised her daughter,  who immediately looked at her mother.

"What are you doing here? I said to you! Just wait in the room. And why did you take this jelly pudding? It's a dish for the guests." Laras took the pudding that was in Ella's hand forcibly.

"Oh… gosh… you're going to get me in trouble! Remember, don't take any food, ok!"

Ella started seriously at the pudding she had put back in its place.

"Ok, mom…."

"Come with me!" Said Laras, pulled her daughter's hand, and directed her towards the kitchen. The atmosphere in the kitchen looks more lively when compared to the Huxleys' living room, which is quieter.

"Ella, please don't make any trouble, ok. It's my second day at work, and I don't want to lose this job. So please, cooperate with me, and be a kind and obedient little girl." Laras looked up imploringly, and Ella nodded slowly.

Laras directed Ella to stand in the corner of the room. Her mother began to return to her busy life. Ella could smell many tantalizing cooking aromas. Her stomach is shaking even more, and hunger began to attack her.

"Bobby? What else should I bring to the front? The dinner was about to start. Let me help you." Laras said to the fat man in a white chef's shirt with a towering hat. The hat didn't seem to interfere with his movements at all.

"Thank you, Laras. I really need your help. Belinda suddenly got sick today. But.., won't Alvin look for you?" Bobby said

.

"Don't worry, Bob. My job upfront is already strand. It's Alvin who asked me to help you and Frank in the kitchen." Laras answered with a big smile.

"We're a little troubled by Mrs. Huxley's request. Can you bring the lamb dish?" Said Bobby pointing to the many plates filled with lamb that was ready to be served.

"Hey Frank, help me stir the soup. I have to take this dish to the living room." Bobby glanced at his friend, a tall man who was still busy chopping some lettuce and onions.

"I can't, Bob. I'm not done with my salad either." Frank refused emphatically.

"Ahh... if this stove turns off, the soup will settle. And it won't taste good. Mm ...? You!" Point Bobby at Ella, who had been watching in the corner of the room.

"Ah, sorry, that's my daughter." Laras tried to explain.

"Can she help me stir this soup for a bit? while we bring all these dishes to the front?" Asked Bobby.

"Of course, she can do. Ella? Come here for a moment." Said Laras called her daughter.

That night not only Ella and Laras were kept busy. All the housekeepers and the chefs were super busy and frantic.

That evening was a celebration of Mr. & Mrs. Husley's wedding anniversary.

The Huxley family is prominent in Britain. Even they still have royal blood flowing in their family.

There were not many guests, but they were important and influential people in Great Britain.

The celebration night went smoothly.

Ella looked at her mother, who was still wearing her maid outfit. Immediately lay down on the bed.

"Mommy?" called Ella, but her mother didn't wake up. Laras looked tired.

Ella did not have the heart to wake her mother, who looked soundly asleep still in her work clothes.

Ella's stomach began to sound again. She was already enduring a long hunger. She also decided to leave her room. The atmosphere of the mansion was quiet. It seemed like everyone had started to rest after the party was over.

Ella was still sneaking around. She still remembers her mother's message not to cause trouble. Her mother shared that the Huxley Family was very kind because they want to accept their mother and Ella to live and work in their residence.

The mansion was like a palace. Ella's round eyes darted around her. It was only the second day at the Huxley mansion.

She was still remembering the way to the kitchen, where she could satisfy her keep ringing stomach.

The rest of the decorations were still visible, Ella smiled broadly. Because she remembers the room so much, this means she is close to the kitchen room. Ella opened a large white door. Luckily, the door is not locked. So she can easily slip away.

Her smile widened, seeing the quiet and dark atmosphere of the soup kitchen. Ella pulled out a chair and climbed on top of it. With the push of a button lights, the room suddenly became bright. Ella grinned even more with satisfaction.

Her eyes began to scour the room, and she could see the remains of food on a long table. Ella pulled back her chair, pointed towards the wide table. She stood back on the chair again.

Indeed, this is not a new food, but at least like food heaven for Ella. Some of the leftover pudding, bread, biscuits, even soup that she stirred earlier.

Ella started to devour her pudding. Her mouth began to chew and swallow rapidly.

Her hands quickly grabbed all the food scraps that she could reach. Her hungry stomach began to fill up over and over again.

"Hey ?! Who are you?" A boy had entered the soup kitchen and saw Ella, whose mouth was full of food.

"Me? I'm Ella." Several bits of food left Ella's mouth as she said, "Who are you?" Asked Ella.

Ella could see that the boy was taller than her, his hair was light brown, and his eyes were green. But the look on his face looked so cold looking at Ella, who was still busy chewing.

But Ella was fascinated, looking at the boy who was in front of her. At a glance, she immediately thought of the story of the handsome prince, the one her mother always told her.

"Are you a thief?" Asked the boy disrespectfully.

"I'm a thief? Of course not. My mother works in this mansion, and I just arrived yesterday." Ella replied, "Do you want one?" Ella held out the food in her hand.

"What are you doing here?" Ask the boys back.

"What am I doing? I'm eating because I'm hungry. So ... you don't want to?" Ella asked in return, and the boy was silent and stared in disgust at Ella's offer.

"Cih .. it turns out to be just a servant girl. Do you know !? You can't sneak around like this and take food secretly. You can be called a thief." The boy explained long.

Ella, who heard it immediately, realized her mistake. She immediately threw the rest of the food onto the table. Quickly she jumped off the chair, wiped her mouth, and her face began to panic.

"I'm sorry. I don't know. I'm just hungry. Please don't report this to Uncle Alvin. My mom will scold me if she finds out I caused trouble." Ella walked over to the boy.

"Stop there! I don't like you getting too close." Shouted the boy harshly, Ella immediately stopped her steps. The boy immediately stared intently at Ella's face.

"You're not British? Are you mixed?" Asked the boy looked at Ella's face.

Ella does have straight black hair with round eyes. Her nose is not as sharp as the nose of the British. Even her skin color was not as pale as the boy's.

"I don't know what you mean," Ella answered honestly.

"I am the Huxley family's first child, and I am your master. It should be because of your rudeness I could have fired you easily." The boy spoke arrogantly.

Ella again showed panic, "Sorry, please forgive me. I promise I will not do anything like this again." Ella began to bow and began to plead.

"Cih .. just for this time, I will forgive you." Said the boy arrogantly, then left Ella, who was still in the soup kitchen.
