Chapter 18: Memory of the Sea
"What's happening," Captain Jack asked.
Their surroundings suddenly became foggy, preventing the light from coming from the sun, and the temperature began to drop.
"I feel so cold," Zane whispered while wrapping herself with some scarfs. She pats her chest for the armor to materialize, and the atmosphere begins to change.
"This would make me warm."
"Are we encountering some Ghost ship or something?" Dr. Kily said while looking around
"It was giving me some eri vibe, more like a chill," Zane agreed.
"I've heard a story about this situation," the man holding with a telescope but in.
"What's the story?" Hu asked
"About a ship, a pirate ship that wanders around in the Ocean of Scabro, It is said that a Great pirate war occur in that ocean, dozen of ships were sunk, more people died in that war, and it is believed that the spirit of the dead still roam in the ocean, hiding in the light rays of the sun,"
"I heard that story, The war in Scabro" Mister Brie speak.
"But we're not in the Scabro" Hu replied.
"That is the mystery of that Ocean, some say it never existed, some it is just a myth" Zane answered
"You know this kind of stuff?" his twin taunted her
"Of course, you're not the only one reading books, you know," her twin replied while rolling her eyes.
"Brie prepare the barrier," the captain ordered. Brie cast a brown barrier surrounding the whole ship.
"Whatever you do, never respond to any attacks," Dra. Kily seriously said while looking around.
"What do you mean nev-" before Hu can finish talking, An exchange shoot of cannon starts to fire
"Men on your position!" the captain ordered. His crew started loading the cannons, and some unsheeted their swords preparing for battle.
"I said don't respond. Whatever happens, just listen carefully" Dra. Kily warns them again.
"AAAAAaargghhhh" a group voice yelled
"What is that" one of the crew started dropping his swords. Two Large ships appeared on both sides of their ship.
"Wh-at a-re those," one of the crew stated. The ships appear to be crashed. Creaking sounds can be heard in the ship, it's glowing green, and voices are screaming in both ships.
"What's happening," Captain Jack asked Dra. Kily Specifically.
"I presume you know what's happening here," he added.
"What we are experiencing is it's the memory of the sea" Dra. Kila said
"What do you mean the memory of the sea," the crew with the telescope asked.
"Water has a unique magical ability, water has memory, when a strong magic power occurs and when that magic power disappears, the water will start to absorb everything in the area, it will be a memory of it. And when a specific amount of magic reaches that water it will activate the memory, like now, our presence was detected by the sea, and activated its memory." Dra. Kily Explained
After a certain time, the scene slowly fades, and the sea returns to normal.
"Look, captain, Land ahead," the guy with the telescope yelled
"Finally, we're here," Zane said while wiggling
The Shipboard on the kingdom's port.
"Welcome to the Enchanted Kingdom" Dra. Kily greeted the twins and walked down.
Zane's POV
"Wow, this place is so green" I mean, the port is covered with vines, plants, and trees, and the houses also have some vines. It's kinda mossy like that, but it's bright
"Where are we specifically," Zein asked
I checked our watch, a highly tech watch, and checked the mini-map. It shows a hologram of the whole of the enchanted kingdom, "Where at the kingdom's largest port, Mossy Port. Where merchants around the world meet and exchange some goods."
"I see, where Dra. Kily?" she asked.
"Oh, she just bid goodbye to captain jack, speaking there she is," I said while glancing at our Dr.
She's wearing a white lab gown that extends her legs.
"Why are you wearing that," My twin asked
"Oh sorry" she presses the necklace, and her mission uniform appeared, It was kinda similar to what I was wearing except that her robe has white linings and a cross pin near her hood.
She looks like our leader since she wearing a different robe. "Where will be heading?" I asked
"Uhm, like what I'm saying, is that not all parts of the kingdom are habituated by humans since it is sacred and this kingdom should be not lived by humans, but since the god accepted and only fewer people live here," she said
"We will be heading to none habituated area, so we need clearance in the royal capital, so we will go there to get some permit," she said
"Tomorrow we will riding cart, I'm excited, for now, we will be going to an inn, spend the night there, then leave tomorrow," she added
"Then let's go find some inn," and we search the port if there's an inn.
After finding it for almost thirty minutes, we can't find an inn. We ask some soldiers they say that there's no inn since there are not many visitors and all the time they don't allow visitors. Only who have missions and duties in the kingdoms are only allowed.
"But we have a duty here, we have a mission from the moon university," Dra. Kily said. We're talking in the guards here.
"If you say so, here," and he handed us sphere-shaped seeds.
"Plant this there," and he pointed us to an area where some houses were built.
"That is a special seed, it's a house seed, when you plant it and water it, it will instantly grow into a House good for four people, then when you want to remove the house you can just get the seed found inside the house, and if you left the house will be destroyed then, you can plant it again to get some plant" the guard explained.
"Thank you," Dra. Kily thanked the guard, and we headed to the area where the guards were talking about.
"Uhm, we just need to plant it right," I said
Zein plants the seed, then after watering for two minutes, a large bud grows, and then after it booms, a house appears.
"Wow, the seed turned to the house," I complimented
We entered the house, and it had all things we got, it was an open house. There were four beds, in the center was a table in the back were the kitchen and bathroom.
"Go unpacked, and ill prepare some dinner so we can eat early and explore the port," Dra. Kily said and picked a bed.
After picking up our bed, we fixed our things. also, I already take a shower since it was a long journey, so I needed to refresh.
