Set in Motion

I missed everyone. It was so boring just sitting there with Bakugou all day while he sat there on his phone, refusing interaction with me.

I was in the kitchen, baking for the 8th time when he turned around.

"Grab me a soda." He said and went back in his phone

UGH! THIS BOY!

I came over with a open soda in my hand and tripped on the carpet, dumping it on the ash blondes lap.

He turned his head up at me slowly and set his phone down.

"Oh shit." I said and I turned and RAN.

I heard Bakugou's heavy footsteps behind me and turned to see him gaining on me.

"WAIT WAIT WAIT, I'M SORRY! IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!" I said looking for a place to escape.

I felt a hand in my neck and my body tensed up. The hand was hot and warm and my instincts snapped. Flashing me back to when Dabi had gripped my neck and burned me.

I dropped like a stone and shouted, covering myself and balling up on the floor.

"Seriously? I barely touched you." Bakugou said coming over. I heard his footsteps stop short a few feet away before the sped up and came over to me. "Hey you okay?" He asked.

I was shaking and shivering at the thought of Dabi's hands on me again. I was scared.

"(Y/N)" Bakugou's voice snapped me out of my panic attack and I breathed.

"I'm fine. I just freaked out for a second. Let's go. Aizawa said he wanted to meet about the Internships." I stood up and quickly walked away.

Leaving Bakugou anxious and curious about my reaction.

"So what's the plan?" I asked sitting in principal Nezu's office. I was holding a piece of paper with my offers from hero agencies.

"I have considered the following and you've proven yourself able to fight off the league of villains without dying." Nezu said cheerfully.

"Barely." Aizawa muttered from beside me.

I nudged his side and he grunted.

"But that doesn't take you completely out of harm's way. Were only allowing you to go to the internships as long as your working in areas that have been heavily guarded or with very strong pro heroes. Your choice will also affect your peers since Midoriya will now watch over you."

Bakugou's head lifted at that and he cocked his head.

"Deku and I are both going to the Endeavor agency. He's a strong hero and he sent an offer to (Y/N), did he not?" He asked surprisingly calm.

"Yes, but we want Midoriya to be with her to get her to safety if she needs to be removed, and for you to hold off the advancements. Not that something is going to happen, but you never know."

I crushed the paper and threw it at Aizawa who growled and threw it back at me.

"Why are you acting like I can't protect myself? I took them on three times already, only getting injured twice, escaping, and returning to you, only to have you set up my friends as my bodyguards?" I asked sticking the balled up paper in Aizawa's scarf.

"They are simply backup, not bodyguards. Your not that precious." Aizawa said shoving the paper in my face.

"(Y/N)." Nezu said quietly. I looked at him and tensed at his serious face. "I ask that you do your best not to fight. You've gotten a whole lot stronger thanks to your closed battle training. But we still worry for your safety."

"Yeah, I make no promises. But I can assure you that if there is a problem, I'll let Midoriya and Firecracker take a crack at it before I intervene." I said.

He smiled and sighed.

"That's good enough. I also ask of one more thing." He said standing up to see us out.

"Hmm?" I said walking out with Bakugou.

"Don't die." He grinned.

I snorted and grinned at him.

"I didn't plan on it."

It was a couple of days later when Midoriya, Bakugou, and I were evacuating citizens from a minor villain attack under the supervision of a sidekick from the Endeavor agency.

Todoroki, Iida, and Uraraka were somewhere around here but I didn't think too much about them as I held a crying child in my arms.

"Hey, hey hey sweetie." I said wiping his tears away.

"M-m-my mom-m-y." He whimpered.

"I'll get your mommy okay? I just need you to stay right here with my friend Deku. Can you do that?" I asked motioned to Midoriya who held his hand out comfortingly.

The little boy nodded and waved shyly as he walked over to Midoriya. I quickly searched the area for a woman who might be injured or lost when I came across one who was screaming for someone.

"Do you happen to be looking for a little boy?" I asked approaching her.

Her eyes lit up with hope as she nodded frantically. I lifted her with air and she squealed a little bit but let me. I approached the evacuees and set her down gently next to the little boy.

"MOMMY!" He shouted reaching for her.

I landed next to Midoriya who was getting ready to take off and rejoin me.

"You know, hearing you say my hero name reminds me that you don't have one." He said.

"Oh, got that all figured out. You can call me El. The element hero." I said grinning.

Midoriya grinned and nodded his head.

"That's a cute name." He said.

"Cute name for a bratty girl." Bakugou said landing next to me.

"So it is cute." I clarify.

"Not for you." He disagreed.

"But it's only for me so it's cute." I point out.

"Don't switch my words, brat!" He snarled.

I flicked his forehead.

"Relax Firecracker. You never compliment me. It was a joke." I said walking away.

We were finishing up our areas when there was a sudden outburst from the direction of the main plan. The hospital and headquarters where everything was going down. My body twitched, just slightly, but it was enough for Midoriya to notice.

"No." He said grabbing my hand.

I frowned at him.

"NO." He said more sternly.

I sighed and continued the evacuation as he smiled, proud he held his ground. I ushered a bunch of people to a resting site when I heard over the earpieces.

"One for All?" Endeavors voice filtered through my head.

This time, it was Midoriya's turn to twitch.

I looked at the panic and fear on his face. Before I knew it, he and Bakugou were sharing worried looks and took off.

I quickly followed them, only to have them tell me to turn around and go back.

"Hell no!" I shouted bursting ahead of them. "I've been itching to take some people down! I'm not missing this chance! What's gotten the both of you riled up and panicked?!"

They were both silent, not sending me back, but not answering my question either.

"Damn the both of ya." I said speeding ahead as Midoriya was communicating with his earpiece.

"HEAD SOUTHWEST!" Midoriya had yelled. I quickly changed course and headed there with the boys behind me.

I just didn't know what I was in for.

~Time Skip~

I was evacuating people while Midoriya and Bakugou were watching the battle with the monster that was Shigaraki.

I was helping other heroes, lifting citizens and rubble off the ground to make escape easier, when I heard the shouts.

Despite Gran Torino telling us no, those two still headed in battle.

THOSE IDIOTS!

I flew up to see why they had engaged and my heart stopped. Aizawa was shot. And from the fear on his face, it was a quirk erasing bullets.

Now I understood why Midoriya and Bakugou had intervened.

I flew after them, unsure if I was doing the right thing, but I deflected the next attack from Aizawa when Midoriya and Bakugou couldn't get to him. The twenty foot high wall of earth defended all the injured heroes and civilians.

Midoriya and Bakugou drew Shigaraki's attention and brought him away from us. I quickly turned around to recognize Endeavor, Rock Lock, and Gran Torino. I dropped beside Aizawa and hugged him to me.

"Don't you dare move from their safety. I'll be back." I kissed his forehead but as I stood up, he grabbed my hand.

"(Y/N)." He said weakly.

I looked down at him and kissed his forehead one last time. I looked at Rock Lock who was looking at me with surprise.

"If it gets bacd, leave. Take him and get out of here." He nodded and gripped Aizawa tight.

I looked at Endeavor.

"WHY ARE YOU JUST STANDING HERE?!" I brought the wall down and charged after the boys.

"DAMMIT (Y/N), WE SAID STAY BACK!" Bakugou yelled.

"You don;t get to have all the fun FIrecracker!" I shouted back, my aim honing in on Shigaraki. I flew up and used my power to its absolute limits.

A large piece of earth lifted the survivors and I gently moved them out of the way. Earth pillars rose out of the ground and slowly curved upward towards Shigaraki. He looked at me and smirked.

"You had many chances to join us. You refused, and now you'll die as a useless wanna be hero student!" He charged at me. Midoriya and Bakugou tried to stop him but I was full of fury and drugged on adrenaline.

"We'll see who's gonna die today. After all," I shouted grabbing everyone's attention. I quickly looked at Aizawa and back. "You touched my teacher."

I sent the earth and they smashed into him, Pulling back and smashing again and again. Rebuilding themselves as they were destroyed after hitting the target multiple times. Shigaraki must have a regeneration quirk in him because he was looking better after a hit.

I rose higher into the sky and summoned my elements. Wind started of a huge tornado, fire swirled inside of it, I added earth spikes and I saved Ice for last. I sent the spiraling spear like weapon at Shigaraki and his eyes widened.

I looked around to see Endeavor coming up with Bakugou and Todoroki. Each of them determined to meet up with them. I sent some wind to lift them and they all looked surprised at the sudden lift into the air that wasn't caused by their quirks.

They looked at me and I nodded.

I blasted them through the air and sent them honing for their target. I looked for Midoriya and saw he was FLYING.

"MIDORIYA?!" I shouted, surprised. He looked at me and back at Shigaraki, trying to deliver a blow when Shigaraki got irritated.

He sent these black spike spear-like weapons at Midoriya who wasn't fast enough to dodge them. But Bakugou was fast enough to push him out of the way. And take the hit himself.

"BAKUGOU!!!" I screamed.
