(Chapter 51) Blood On Her Hands

Astrid woke up not feeling great. She placed the blame on her eating and drinking again. It seemed her stomach couldn't partner strawberry cakes and anything fizzy...

Astrid's stomach pains were also continuing, she took out some pads from her drawer and did her business. After that, she got herself dressed.

"Morning." Mr. Tuhs heard his daughter walking down the corridor and looked up to see her.

But his face froze looking at what she was wearing. She was wearing a black jumper and black jeggings. It... Was a fresh look?

'Whatever' he put aside her daughter's clothes and got Winoa to make her a drink for the morning.

"You won't be going to school?" Mr. Tuhs asked, he didn't mind that. He knew how she was getting 100% on every test anyway...

"I will be at Auxill. Although Wu can handle himself, I also have my work." Astrid started to eat the food on the table.

But her stomach just refused to digest anymore. She still didn't feel that well from last night's overindulgence. So she didn't finish her sausages.

Mr. Tuhs looked at his daughter like she was an alien. "Not hungry?" He couldn't believe his daughter would refuse to eat food! Maybe last night was a lesson for her?

"Mm, I'll bring some stomach medicine with me." Astrid said it before Mr. Tuhs said anything. Fine, she won't eat like that again.

Mr. Tuhs nodded with happiness. As he spotted his wife coming down the stairs with a tired expression. He slowly averted her gaze.

Astrid immediately understood. "Don't let me disturb you then. Winoa, you'll be coming with me today." Astrid then stood up. As Winoa looked at her in shock.

Astrid had been adamant in making sure Winoa was fully trained before doing anything. But Astrid hadn't said anything about her going to Auxill today...

"I'll call the school." Mr. Tuhs butted in, his wife sat down at the table with her expression... While his daughter was leaving to give them space...

Astrid looked to her father and then found some stomach medicine, she then took the car and was taken to Auxill.

"Baby, aren't the kids gone now? I think you should go back to bed." Mr. Tuhs smirked at his wife.

Mrs. Tuhs narrowed her eyes. "Anya is still here. And don't say that she won't hear anything. Look how Astrid is so brazen with you!? Don't you feel at least some shame?" Mrs. Tuhs was stuck in bed for the majority of the night. Her husband was quite jealous of the looks some of those actors were looking at her with.

Mr. Tuhs felt his eyebrows twitching. 'But we didn't do anything when Astrid was young' He wished he had the guts to say those words. But thinking about the possibility of another girl teasing him about his wife. He faltered.

Seeing she won. Mrs. Tuhs was invigorated, as Anya had started to cry in her room, she went off to pacify her.

....

Winoa was amazed, looking at the large building with the logo of Auxill and it's name was so surreal.

Astrid took her through the private elevator. She had told Winoa to change into something more professional when they got to her office. It had rooms for both her and Winoa along with some clothes inside.

Winoa did that and explored Astrid's office. She changed into a suit and looked at herself in the full mirror...

She felt strange in it. She didn't know if it suited her or not... But then again, she wasn't dressing in it for fashion.

She then saw Astrid sitting at her desk writing on paper. But she was still wearing her all black outfit...

Astrid looked up and gave a nod at Winoa. "Good, before we do anything. I will need you to follow me." Astrid spoke quite mysteriously, as she started to walk back to the elevator.

....

Within 10 minutes, Winoa was completely blown away. Astrid picked up a black jacket and helmet. While she walked to a motorbike with intentions to drive it...

"Don't worry, father knows." Astrid lied with a straight face. How would her father know she could drive a bike at 15? But Winoa didn't question her words. They were law in her mind anyway.

Astrid gave a helmet to Winoa and got on. "Just hold my waist." Astrid said as she revved the engine.

Winoa felt her heart rise to her mouth. Astrid... Was a very good rider! She didn't feel any panic and they paced past anyone too slow for her...

Of course, the motorbike was actually a limited edition bike that Mr. Tuhs had been gifted before. He had zero interest, but Astrid decided that having a bike would be alright for now.

So she also had some documents falsified and now she was riding the bike. She had technically got a driver's license though. She drove in her last life.

Astrid ended up stopping the bike in front of an apartment complex. Since it was a weekday, the streets were relatively quiet despite it now being late in the morning.

"Winoa, if you have anything to say. Now would be the time." Before Astrid moved off her bike, she warned Winoa.

Winoa then realized, Astrid must be doing something extreme again... "Nothing, I've already decided." Winoa didn't hesitate. Making Astrid nod.

Astrid led Winoa up to apartment 47. She then shushed Winoa. As she proceeded to pick the lock.

After the door started to slowly open. Winoa was quite nervous. While Astrid exuded tranquility. This wouldn't be the first time her doing this...

Astrid led Winoa to the sofa. Where a man seemed to be lying. He looked to be in his 30's, and seemed to not be a morning person. Based on him not waking up when his door was opened...

**Warning, violence ahead. Discretion advised for those who don't wish to read violence.**

Astrid reached into her pocket and pulled out a knife. Upon seeing it, Winoa immediately understood.

Astrid was not a good person. She killed, she had smuggled, she did anything beneficial. She never saw herself as a saint. She had told Winoa many times she wasn't a good person. And now she was going to see it first hand.

Astrid calmly held her knife, she looked experienced. As a dark look encompassed her eyes.

Winoa didn't dare even to breathe. She didn't expect Astrid to look so... Experienced.

Astrid then swiftly swiped the knife across the man's neck. Immediately ending his life, without knowing how it happened.

His blood dripped down the sofa and onto the floor. "Don't step in the blood." Astrid warned Winoa. As she nodded in response.

Was Winoa scared? Of course! She had never seen a real fight. Let alone blood. But Astrid killed the man effortlessly... 'I'm sorry Young Miss, I underestimated your words.' She now understood, there was no going back from this.

Seeing Winoa was shaking slightly Astrid didn't say anything. Winoa was pretty good to have not thrown up there and then. It seemed her mental exercises had paid off.

Astrid then walked into another room in the apartment. When Winoa saw the number of monitors set up, she was stunned. What was this?

"This man is surprisingly quite rich. He traded stock like a madman. He is incredibly skilled at manipulating the market. So... His earnings will now be ours." Astrid spoke with darkness in her eyes. She used other's efforts. And cruelly took it for herself...

Astrid hacked into the man's computer and shut down all activity from him. She also made sure his money went to her, along with his influence.

"He also was quite a prominent member in the money laundering market. Since the man is now dead. I can use his death to threaten the others in his circle." Astrid explained her thoughts to Winoa. Who by now, was soaking in the thoughts Astrid had.

She was now determined to stay beside Astrid. She was so good to her. They grew up like sisters. And now she knew that they had enemies, she knew that being nice was no way to defeat those who wanted the Tuhs' dead.

Astrid finished up her business and then started to clean up. She was efficient at both the killing, and the cleaning. She wasn't an assassin feared in her previous life for no reason...

She taught Winoa many things along this journey. After she was done, it was time for her next target...
