(Chapter 53) Bloodshed and Secrets Uncovered

Astrid drove to a relatively large mansion just on the outskirts of the city. The owner was clearly quite rich, for bodyguards were patrolling the perimeter and Astrid could see the cameras from afar.

Astrid then pulled up in a hidden location and pulled out her phone. After a minute, the lights outside of the mansion were turned off.

The guards immediately reported the issue on their walkie-talkies. While they were distracted, Astrid's figure was already inside the inner garden.

Astrid soundlessly walked through the garden and found a window on the first floor that was opened slightly.

She quickly opened it wide and jumped inside the room, knowing that there was no one in this room...

This seemed to be a music room of sorts. Astrid knew this was a room where the daughter of the house was tutored in music from her investigations in the mansions cameras.

Astrid stood against the door to the room and stayed deathly quiet. After hearing footsteps walk away from the room, she opened the door...

....

"What do you mean you can't contact them? ... Are you sure?" In his study, Mr. Huwa was in a vile mood.

He had made one of his partners angry recently and had tried to settle the issue by proposing marriage with his daughter. But they hadn't replied to his message. So he was stressed and currently conducting business slightly drunk.

As he went to look out his window, he didn't notice his office door open and close silently. When he turned to sit back down, he did not know the end of his life...

** WARNING, VIOLENCE UPCMOMING.**

**Will signify the end of the violence**

Astrid pulled out her knife and swiftly stood up behind Mr. Huwa's chair. She didn't hesitate in slitting his neck. As the blood flowed from his neck down to his clothes.

** Violence is over, but there are still graphic scenes until the next '........' **

His white shirt slowly turned crimson, as Astrid was unknowingly staring at that blood for a long time...

Astrid then licked her lips. The smell of iron smelt so... Appetizing?

Astrid then frowned. 'Blood is in that soup. Am I addicted to it? Or...' Astrid could feel the need of her body while looking at that blood. Her body was weak right now, but her heart was pumping rapidly at the sight of the flowing blood...

'There is only one way to find out.' Astrid didn't expect to find her answer so soon, her 'illness' was her being a vampire from those fictional stories??

Astrid placed her hand under where the blood was flowing, she didn't bat an eyelash as her hand was tainted in blood. Seeing the small pool in her hand. She decisively took it to her mouth.

Astrid drank the blood... 1...2...3...4...

She felt her body becoming drastically stronger than before. She felt like she would be normally, but something else happened...

She felt that this blood was extremely dangerous. The taste was something she could never describe. The best way would be alcohol to an alcoholic. It might not taste great. But the addiction could easily occur...

Her brain was exploding with these toxins and different hormones, she was being droved crazy by her thoughts. As she immediately thought of taking another sip...

So she did that, collecting more blood than before, she had a taste.

This time had a slightly different taste. Maybe because the blood was old by a couple of days? But it had a richer taste.

By now her lips were blood red. Literally, her hands were covered in blood. As she took another lick of her hands.

"Master, the Madam is calling for you." A female voice brought Astrid out of her stupor.

But then Astrid had another plan. She uncharacteristic smiled widely, but the shine in her eyes was evil and dark. As she decided there would be more bloodshed today.

....

"Boss, the investigation was finished." Inside the richest, most prominent company in Italy. Lewis was sitting behind a computer working.

"Mmm." That was his indication to speak. He was being talkative when with Astrid and Mr. Tuhs, this would be him normally...

Lewis's secretary took a deep breath, his boss had asked for the information on one of Little Master's friends at school. The people under Lewis all prided themselves for being the best in the country. Especially in the underworld and collecting information.

But they couldn't find anything on her at all! It was like there were invisible barriers before they could find anything about the girl. All they knew were her school and name. Not even her identity. Any information her classmates knew was something they could easily pick up, but they even struggled to find out where she lived!

This was a great distress to the entire Italian underworld. The Mafia was called to clean out anyone withholding information, as Lewis had ordered for the destruction of their enemies a few months ago.

The secretary calmed himself before speaking. "We managed to find out that she is the daughter of Siccily Urzhokov and Howard Tuhs. Despite what we could find out about Howard Tuhs, they still struggled to find anything out about her mother. Anytime they would investigate, they would be blocked by the government." By now Lewis was listening carefully.

"All we know is that Astrid Tuhs had been ill since birth, because of this, she stopped going to school around 2 years ago. But a year ago, she suddenly made a recovery, and went to school again." Lewis already knew this, because his cousin had mentioned it to him once.

By now the secretary gulped. "The reports are that Astrid is on the list of government protection, not just for her intelligence... But also because she was deemed..." The secretary had stuttered near the end.

"Deemed what?" Lewis knew she was intelligent. She might even be more so than him! But it seemed this next point was important...

The secretary almost faltered seeing Lewis's cold gaze. "Deemed... A level one threat by the American government, and the rest of the world has the right to kill her if she becomes an enemy of the state." The sweat formed down his forehead as he spoke.

Lewis was indeed surprised. No, he was completely speechless. "A level one threat!? You better not be lying Viviano." Lewis warned the man.

Viviano shook his head. "Her documents are the most top-secret in the medical facility where she was treated for her illness. We lost a lot of men trying to find out this information. It seems that no one wants to know anything about her." Viviano was worried, this girl was only 15 years old. And she was already being placed under strict watch by the entire world! One wrong step and she was would be killed!

Lewis leaned back in his chair. For the first time in his life, he didn't know what to do. He was intrigued by this girl. When he said he would marry her, he had an inkling that wanted her to agree. So when she did, his heart was beating rapidly.

Then she revealed she wouldn't marry him and he felt distraught. He might have no experience with relationships. But he was no idiot.

"What about her illness?" Lewis asked next, as his eyes turned cold.

Viviano inwardly sighed. His boss seemed to be extremely interested in this girl... Maybe in the future she would be ordering him as well?

"Nothing could be found that was abnormal, but then again. Her illness was not clearly stated within the document, based on her parents she wouldn't be living with any curable illnesses. And the signature of the doctor is the best doctor available." Viviano had felt this was weird, but could never put his finger on it.

Lewis also had the same thoughts. A doctor not officially diagnosing an illness for a rich heiress? That wouldn't be possible. Especially when she was on the government watch list.

"Pull out of the operation." Lewis announced while Viviano was going to ask if they should continue the investigation.

"Yes boss." Viviano nodded seriously. The man had short brown hair and a pair of glasses, he was extremely serious in general.

Viviano quickly left after seeing his boss's brooding face. Lewis was left to think about what he had heard.

"Level one threat. She is more dangerous than some countries themselves? How? Her mother also seems to be more than just an actress. How could they have so many famous doctors sign her diagnosis papers? But the government also protects her while making her the largest threat in this country? Am I missing something?" Lewis mumbled to himself, he had found a girl who was... Very, very interesting.
