(Chapter 99) Giving Elder Guilliano Thoughts

*Sigh* "I don't know what I should do about that grandson of mine." Elder Guilliano sighed as he put away a piece of paper on the round table.

He had just finished a meeting involving some good business partners of his. They ended up discussing various things, but none of what they discussed would matter.

They were mainly older men who had already started to pass down their power elsewhere. So their discussions were mainly because they had nothing to do. And we're getting used to the life of retirement.

"Your grandson? What is he doing now?" One of the people invited to this casual and friendly meeting, was Mr. Tuhs.

Elder Guilliano sighed in reverence. "You all know that my grandson doesn't have a woman in his life. As a family man I don't mind as long as he is happy. But as a businessman, it is unsettling not to see anything you know?" At these types of meetings, Elder Guilliano normally spoke his mind. For the reason that he trusted everyone at the table...

A few of the men nodded in understanding, while some kept quiet. While Mr. Tuhs personally felt a bit awkward about the situation.

'That punk clearly said to me that he would marry my daughter, but he hasn't even told his grandfather yet? It's definitely the work of my daughter then...'

Mr. Tuhs then felt a bit smug, it seemed he knew about their relationship and the Old Master of the Guilliano family didn't. But he was still impressed with not only Lewis, but also Astrid.

Old Master Guilliano was said to be a magnanimous man, but he also demanded respect as his connections and power weren't to be sniffed at. Especially within Italy. For decades everything in and out the country was overlooked by this old man. So the fact Astrid and Lewis managed to keep their close relationship hidden from him for long was to be applauded.

"Ah... I think I understand what you mean Old Master." Mr. Tuhs spoke with a slight smile as his eyes warmed up.

The people at the table were shocked, they hadn't heard of Mr. Tuhs having a son??? Or even being married for that matter, they only knew the region of Italy he lived in...

Mr. Tuhs demanded more respect within the years Astrid had been planning the business models. Hanxi now dominated the internet in Italy, and is quickly sweeping up other European countries. The revenue from the new 'smartphones' and the web browsers was unprecedented as well.

Little did they know, Astrid had basically copied and pasted some ideas from her former life since the internet was such a sensation. And as she predicted, this world it was more profitable, since more people explored the idea of having a smartphone, and since prices were much different.

Smartphones were now seen as a necessity, they were that much of an upgrade considered to the phones previously. And then combine that with laptops and computers powered by Auxil... And Astrid secretly controlled most of the personal electronic sales in the world.

Elder Guilliano raised his eyebrow at Mr. Tuhs' remark. He was smart, Mr. Tuhs had hidden his child for so long, and even he couldn't find any information about his family. But if he said that on his own accord...

"Speaking of your child... Will you ever introduce me? They went through my school and yet I still couldn't find them." Elder Guilliano slyly spoke. It was something he had tried to pry from Mr. Tuhs for so long, yet he couldn't get any information.

Mr. Tuhs inwardly chuckled. The reason he couldn't find Astrid when in school was quite simple... She didn't exist. To protect her him and his wife eliminated all evidence of her being born. That was thanks to Veronica... Who worked a crucial job within the Russian government protection system.

Then, Astrid took over the security, Mr. Tuhs didn't know what she did. But he would guess that she had made documents for herself. And would reveal her existence to the world soon...

"Ohh... You have a child Mr. Tuhs? How did you hide them for so long?" One of the men at the table asked, he asked it innocently, with curiosity.

Mr. Tuhs shook his head. "Don't worry, it will all be explained soon." That was all he said in response, making the men all feel there something else...

Soon? When is soon? Does he mean he will show off his child soon? That would be a big scoop for reporters, but also dangerous... Businessmen often had enemies.

Elder Guilliano tried to read the man... But Mr. Tuhs' sly face threw him off, he just couldn't read his expression. As he sighed. 'I would love to meet the child of this man. They must be spectacular like him...'

"Could we at least know the name of your child? Give us some information to go off here." Elder Guilliano spoke steadily, but he in fact was almost dying in curiousity.

Maybe retirement did that to him, he now was curious of many things and picked up a lot of hobbies, because of that, his connections were also growing. And that influenced Lewis's connections all the same.

Mr. Tuhs looked around the table. Seeing the men that were all older than him look with curiosity and ire. He chuckled. "I won't tell you her name... But I have a daughter." Mr. Tuhs had a calm, and loving expression on his face while thinking of Astrid.

The men all "oohed" As they nodded, trying to picture a face of this 'daughter' in their minds.

Since she was Mr. Tuhs's daughter. She must be quite intelligent, guessing his age, she might be in college? Probably taking business management to take over at Hanxi, most likely cold but also lively, she might have been influenced by her mystery mother...

But Elder Guilliano had his thoughts on something else. 'If that rascal doesn't give me any news about a girlfriend at least I have another option. Based on his personality... His daughter must be quite good for my grandson.' And thus, Mr. Tuhs had implanted a thought into his mind.
