(Chapter 112) Understanding His Feelings

Francesca woke up a little groggy. She was expecting to feel some soreness from sleeping on the sofa... But she was yet to feel it.

She then looked around and immediately became aware, 'When was I on my bed? Who moved me? My dad?' Francesca then got herself up.

She quickly walked down the stairs and saw it was still dark outside, she hadn't slept long, but why was her father home so early? He said he would be busy for the next few days...

Francesca then turned a corner and saw a very familiar, but very surprising face to see at her house at this time.

"L-Leone?" She whispered in utter dismay, when did he get here?

Leone seemed to feel Francesca's presence and turned his head. His face showed both relief... But also another emotion. "Oh... Your okay, thank god." Leone sighed in relief at the sight of Francesca.

Only he knew the panic he felt when he knocked on the door to no answer. Especially when their call suddenly disconnected and the way Francesca was speaking. He was feeling a crisis he never felt before.

All he could think of was that he wished she was okay, and that was when he realized something...

But he then panicked further, since he couldn't get an answer at the door, he had to take an extreme measure.

Francesca had once mentioned about the backdoor and the spare key. Leone didn't pay much attention to those words almost 2 years ago now. But he was glad he remembered them now.

When he got inside, he was glad to learn that there seemed to be no struggle or any issue inside the house. But when he came across the sleeping Francesca, his worries gradually were erased.

He noticed her hand, but didn't worry about it. Especially when he just suffered from so much adrenaline. He then took his time to get Francesca into bed... In which he realized many things about himself.

Francesca then watched Leone as he walked towards her. She felt a little nervous and apologetic, she didn't expect him to come to her house because of a phone call? But when she felt her entire body covered by a warmth only provided by another human. She was baffled.

"Sorry, and thank you. Thank you for calling me." Leone's voice entered Francesca's ear. And she immediately blushed.

She hadn't ever had much contact with the opposite sex since she was always working towards her dream. But with such a warmth entering her... She couldn't ignore it.

"I... Don't thank me. I called the first person that came to mind." Francesca mumbled against Leone's chest. By now, if her father came back home. He wouldn't even say a word.

"I'm glad to hear that." Leone immediately responded, making Francesca confused.

"You calling me first... Means you have me in your heart right? I never such a crisis in my life when the call hung up suddenly, then you wouldn't answer your door. I'm happy your safe." Leone... Said some pretty eloquent words.

Francesca was stunned. When was Leone ever this gentle to her? He normally was very talkative or upset she was using him for a meal. But never this soft and... Loving.

Francesca then felt some heat on her cheeks. As she cried, Leone kept talking.

"I... I'm sorry I used the key without saying... I'm sorry I... Uh, put you to bed as well... I didn't want you to be uncomfortable." Leone then started to backtrack. Since Francesca hadn't said much, he thought she was upset at him.

Francesca then shook her head. "Idiot." She mumbled, in which Leone definitely heard.

"What do you mean? I'm no..." Leone's mouth was then forcefully closed by the lips of Francesca's mouth...

.......

Astrid started to feel better and woke up. Feeling her lack of pillow she was a little upset, but after a stretch, she saw her human pillow come from the bathroom.

"Ah, did I wake you?" Lewis asked softly, a tenderness in his eyes.

Astrid shook her head. "No... What time is it?" She asked, not realizing the slightly different expression on Lewis's face.

"Mm, 11. I answered a call from Winoa, she said that a plan has been formulated and she will send over the details tomorrow..." Lewis answered as he reached over for a drink. And then cuddled with Astrid.

This was their relationship, they loved each other's physical presence, their warmth. It gave Astrid a great amount of confidence in, not only herself, but this relationship. While Lewis was loving Astrid so she wouldn't second guess herself.

"Oh... Okay." Astrid yawned, she also showed her weak points around Lewis. Especially the fact she always struggled with sleep. She was a busy woman, and her sleep was the target of her work.

Astrid relaxed while feeling a familiar grip on her shoulder. She seemed to have melted into Lewis's arms, as he proceeded to give her a massage.

He smiled seeing her natural response to drop into his chest. He felt that in front of him, Astrid showed many different parts of herself. Especially the fact of how lazy she can be.

"I saw what you sent to Stephan... I think it is a good idea." Lewis said as Astrid smiled.

"Mmm, we need a place for our future children. As much as I love my parents, they deserve some peace after I'm married." Astrid then said some very bold words.

Very bold, considering Lewis had only recently experienced the sweetness she had. Feeling Lewis's hands stopped. Astrid lazily turned.

"What's the problem?" Astrid asked with half-opened eyes, Lewis's massage was close to sending her to sleep again.

Seeing this, Lewis only smiled and kept his issues hidden. "Nothing, I think it's a good idea."

Astrid frowned, she felt he was lying. She then leaned into him further... And then felt it.

Smirking, she looked down. "I see... You might be worse than me." She commented, as a slyness appeared in her eyes.

Lewis wasn't embarrassed to be caught so openly. "Maybe... We are as bad as each other? But my kitten... You speak about having kids to me, but we haven't worked hard enough at that process to have any yet." Lewis blew hot air into Astrid's ear.

Astrid's eyes lit up in response. As her hand went against Lewis's chest. "I agree. We should work harder." Her smile was enticing to Lewis. Who had seen such an array of emotions on Astrid's face in a length of a minute.
