(Chapter 117) Hard Working Receptionist

"CEO Tuhs! When can we see the genius behind all of the latest ideas!?" This, was a common question around the shareholder table as of late to Mr. Tuhs.

Mr. Tuhs smiled. He wasn't sure when Astrid was coming to the business to calm down these shareholders. He had always known them to be extremely greedy and quite harsh. But looking at them wanting to see their idol who had made their national company a global phenomenon. Was quite entertaining.

Mr Wu... Also known as Wu, was also at the table today. Representing Astrid... He sat calmly with little trace of emotion on his face. He felt these shareholders were quite pitiful really.

Mr. Tuhs then felt his phone vibrate. He calmly had a look at the message sent and... Smiled.

"Don't worry gentleman, I believe you can see your idol soon." Mr. Tuhs said as he adjusted his cuffs.

The table was now radiating excitement. "You mean the genius is coming? When!?" One of the shareholders asked, they sometimes felt Mr. Tuhs made up the ridiculous idea of a genius behind the scenes just to seem more mysterious. But if they could see the genius that had made their pockets bulge with money in person! Then they could die happily.

Mr. Tuhs lightly chuckled. "Ah... She is on her way." He calmly responded.

Many of the shareholders felt their eyes bulged slightly. "She? Is the genius a woman CEO Tuhs!?" One of the older shareholders asked.

It wasn't that they didn't respect women, it was mainly since women weren't that involved in technology. So knowing a woman had created the largest smartphone brand and revolutionized how people live... It was a little shocking.

Mr. Tuhs nodded lightly, while Wu almost felt a frown appear on his face.

He couldn't believe how these ignorant people could even question his boss's father! It was obvious that Mr. Tuhs learned that the representative for the chairman... Was a member of staff under Astrid.

Mr. Tuhs felt Wu was incredibly talented, in fact, he was sure he could start his own business and thrive easily. But he didn't know that Wu's natural profession is hacking, and that Astrid taught him everything first hand. Leading to his absolute loyalty to his boss...

Wu could already feel the adrenaline pumping through his veins. He knew the plan that was going to be enacted from the time Astrid reveals her identity. And he was ready to take his position behind his boss. And support her to his death.

Mr. Tuhs watched as the older shareholders entered a gossiping mood. What she looked like? Where did she graduate from? Is she related to any big family? He just leaned back in his chair and asked Stephan to lean forward with his hand.

"Get some tobacco for Miss." Mr. Tuhs said, knowing full well of his daughter's terrible addiction.

Stephan nodded, he knew what his boss meant. Mr. Tuhs often carried some tobacco in his office in case Astrid needed any. Clearly this was his way to hand over the reins if she received this.

.......

"Ah. Do you feel like coming in?" Astrid asked as her hand reached for the door.

She felt that Lewis's presence may shock the shareholders greatly, but she also wanted to place her mark on her man in front of some important people...

Lewis smiled, feeling that Astrid had a great idea... "Okay, but you are the main character. Even I won't dare steal your spotlight." Lewis said... As he reached over and kissed Astrid's forehead.

Astrid smiled back at Lewis. "Don't worry, we will be in the spotlight together. And besides, they will sign a non-disclosure agreement until the end of the banquet about my identity... So they won't be saying anything just yet." Astrid felt Lewis's love for her, and made up something on the spot.

Lewis opened the door, and quickly went to Astrid's side to open her side. "Then... Shall we go my queen?" His gentlemanly attitude, his smile, his warm eyes.

Astrid smiled in glee. And took Lewis's hand. "Of course... My king." She then reached up, and pecked him on the cheeks. She knew she couldn't go farther, otherwise they would be stuck in the car for a while.

Lewis and Astrid walked hand-in-hand to the public entrance. Earning a lot of looks from the receptionists in the office.

Just at this time, Stephan had grabbed a small plastic bag from Mr. Tuhs' office, and went down to the ground floor. The shareholder was held in the private room on the ground floor this time. It was a company rule Mr. Tuhs made up, that the shareholder meeting wouldn't be in the same place twice in a row, just to ensure safety in case anything crazy happened.

So when he spotted the very familiar sight of Astrid walking with Lewis, his eyes lit up.

"I'm sorry miss, I can't tell you that information." The receptionist apologized to the spectacular woman in front of her. Not only were her looks 11/10. But the man beside her was very recognizable to anyone working within business.

Lewis Guilliano! But she needed to stay professional, no matter if this woman seemed to have a good relationship to the master of the Guilliano family or not, they didn't have a scheduled appointment today...

Astrid nodded in understanding. No sense of anger seen on her face. She was instead put into a better mood, knowing that the employees seemed to be well trained.

"Miss! If I knew you had arrived I would have escorted you, my apologies." And then, the receptionist felt her mind go blank.

She looked at the personal secretary of the CEO of the company walk up to the woman she just refused access to with a fawning expression... And her face paled.

Did she just offend someone she couldn't afford to? Is that her job done? Miss? How come they hadn't heard of a Miss of Hanxi before??

"Oh Stephan... Don't worry about it. Where is the shareholder meeting being held?" Astrid looked at Stephan, who had straightened himself up even further than if he was with Mr. Tuhs.

"In the private room Miss... You are free to enter along with Mr. Guilliano." Stephan clearly stated, not that he could refuse. She was his boss after all.

Astrid nodded and pulled along Lewis with her to the private room. She had never been inside the ground floor private room. But a hacker would always know the layout of a building close to them...

The poor receptionist was left looking in a daze. Stephan finally looked at her, and she shuddered.

"I-I'm sorry M-Mr Stephan... I-I didn't know that was the..." She panicked with a morphed face.

"Don't be sorry. You did a good job today." Stephan... Said what?

"... P-Pardon?" The receptionist couldn't believe her ears! She had offended the Miss of her company! And the Master of the Guilliano family...

Stephan smiled. "Indeed, she is the Miss of this company. I can't tell you any more than that at this stage. But keep in mind. She didn't have an appointment, yet despite being alongside the Master of the Guilliano family. You held your ground. You did an excellent job." Stephan patted the receptionist's shoulder. Who by now had tears forming in her eyes.

Perhaps that made her understand what he meant. She did do her job, and showed she wasn't swayed by other factors... And Stephan could clearly see that Astrid was quite happy with the responses she got from the receptionist.

His face then morphed into worry. "Damn! I need to give her the tobacco... I hope I'm not too late." The receptionist then heard him mumble those words, and rush off following Astrid and Lewis.
