(Chapter 130) A Request

Astrid ended up waking only a couple of hours later. Yawning, she opened her door and decided to go to the kitchen.

Andrea was in the kitchen cleaning up and settling some schedules, seeing Astrid. She smiled.

"Don't worry, I'll just have some cereal." Astrid said before Andrea decided to get something cooked for her. She just reached for a bowl in the kitchen.

She was the Young Miss of the family for so long. And only ever went into the kitchen to dictate what to eat. So cereal was the extent of her prowess in the kitchen, she was only fed what she was given in her previous life. And cooking was a skill she never was forced to learn, nor took interest in.

She enjoyed eating, not cooking. What was weird about that?

Andrea was amazed watching Astrid get some cereal in a bowl and pouring tons of sugar on top. And then pouring milk into the bowl. 'Where does the sugar go? Even Madam can't eat the way Young Miss does.' Andrea was miffed, Astrid was a mystery to almost everyone. How could she eat so much food and still look like a model. It was unscientific.

Astrid ignored the look she got from Andrea. And casually walked into the living room, where her mother was sitting with Veronica speaking to Lewis who was reading a book.

"Morning." Astrid said as she sat down and started to eat.

Mrs. Tuhs subtly frowned. She had a thing that all meals should be eaten at the dining table... But with the way Astrid was treating that cereal, it was more like a snack anyway...

"Morning... We all discussed your plan earlier, as long as you are careful it will be fine." Mrs. Tuhs said, ignoring the issue she felt was in front of her.

Astrid nodded slowly. "Don't worry mum, they wouldn't be able to touch me even if they tried. But do you want to be recognized by your fans?" Astrid asked, it was something she had been thinking about for the years she knew her mother used to be a top international figure.

Mrs. Tuhs smiled and took a sip of her tea. "Do I? Does it matter if I'm Volgader or not? Not only am I my husband's wife. But also your mother, I must have some identity to speak of..." Lewis then smiled suddenly.

Astrid might not be from this world, but he could see the similarities between her and her parents easily. Her father was very calculative by nature, especially in business. While her mother seemed to be very strong and also smart and adaptable to any situation.

Astrid nodded in understanding. "Alright. Not only are you Mrs. Tuhs... But also Volgader, and aunt. You will be Veronica Urzhokov, the woman with the special place in the Russian government." Astrid tapped her fingers on the table, as she slowly ate her cereal.

Veronica nodded. "As you wish. But I've been wondering something."

Astrid raised her eyebrows as she took another spoonful.

Veronica knew this was Astrid saying to continue speaking. "Will you take on the surname of Urzhokov... The government have been willing to protect me quietly, while they kept gathering information. They wish to give the Urzhokov name an honor, and also release to the public that us of royal descent do still live." Veronica asked with some passion in her voice.

Astrid finished her cereal and lowered her eyes. She always felt her aunt was someone of royal descent. It was easy for her to read that Veronica followed noble traditions quite closely. She basically wanted her family to rise again, but under the new leadership...

"Does that matter? Even if Astrid takes our maiden name, what difference will that make? She always has been an Urzhokov, and doesn't need to prove otherwise." Mrs. Tuhs sounded a little upset with what her sister said, and frowned.

Veronica shook her head. She knew her sister wouldn't understand her meaning. No matter how close they were, there always was a gap in understanding each other... But that was normal, since they were different people.

"It's fine mum. What aunt means is if I will at least double barrel my surname... Or move to Russia." Astrid said clearly, as she slowly raised her eyes at Veronica.

Veronica smiled. It was what she meant to an extent, and knowing her sister was calming down. She felt that the next heir of their family was to bring them out of the ashes.

"Mmm, that's fine. Just ask your father before that... He won't mind." Mrs. Tuhs spoke in a low tone, she only wanted Astrid to be happy. And didn't care for the royal life anymore.

When she was young, she worked her ass off to get her name known. Her naive thinking at the time was that she one. Enjoyed acting. Then two, she would spread her name far and wide, and hope someone recognizes the Urzhokov genes and help their family.

She couldn't explicitly ask anyone, it was too risky. She needed other powerful families in the world to make moves against Jukovic on their own. But her plan was a massive failure.

Then she finally got pregnant. And those thoughts slowly drifted away, she loved her daughter and husband. And she knew Veronica would be well under the care of the government, despite being under Jukovic's surveillance.

Mrs. Tuhs let her daughter do what she wanted. If she wanted to go to Russia and live in the old palace... Then so be it. But she liked her life in Italy...

Lewis held Astrid's hand. Giving her his silent support. Astrid smiled as she then looked for her phone.

"We'll go out for a walk for a bit then." Lewis said as he stood up with Astrid.

As they went into the garden, Lewis then begrudgingly gave Astrid her phone. She was looking much better. So she could do some work for now...

After sorting out some business and catching up on reports. Astrid sat in Lewis's lap and closed her eyes. "The agents are close to Jukovic's decoy. Apparently he is in Sweeden and is traveling back to St. Petersburg now."

Lewis blinked and then decided to move his hands. "Sweeden? But he doesn't have any business dealings there. He is either creating a connection... Or it is under the radar." Lewis said while fondling Astrid.

Astrid moaned and enjoyed the touch of Lewis. "Yeah... Pollar couldn't get more information. A shame really, but at least we know his final destination." Astrid let Lewis do what he wanted to her. Since she was also enjoying it...

Lewis kissed Astrid's neck. "Pollar huh? Isn't he the one under that hacker?" Lewis asked with a tinge of jealousy.

Astrid giggled feeling the subtle pinch on her. "I'll always, and only love you. Only you can get me so riled up by just talking to me... God, I really want you inside me right now." And then Astrid ruined the clean chapter with a sigh.
