(Chapter 139) A Potential Deal

"Hey! Where were you? We were looking everywhere!" Francesca pouted as she went up and complained to Astrid.

Astrid rubbed her chin with a smile. "Oh, just spending some time with my future husband... Anyway, you won't be needing to worry about that Louise anymore." Astrid said, as she took a glance to the side.

Francesca winced at the first part of the sentence, but she followed Astrid's glance, to see the O'Blanc's sweating and talking to Louise in the corner of the room.

"I heard they just lost 5 of their most profitable workers tonight. All at the same time their contracts were made null via proof of going against their contracts... Such a coincidence on such a night." Astrid giggled under her breath at the end. She found the expressions on the family to be riveting.

Francesca didn't comment. She was happy her small problem was solved, but she only wished she could have done something about Astrid's personality while they were younger... She was scared for her.

"Oh Astrid. Mother and Grandfather wanted to talk to you later if possible." Leone came up and naturally held Francesca's hand with a smile.

Astrid hummed. "Alright, make sure to be careful. You are an aspiring lawyer and she is a public figure seen everywhere. You either keep your relationship an absolute secret, or make sure the public knows a clear-cut answer. Anyway, have a goodnight. There should be a present for when you get home." Astrid said with a small smile as she walked over to where the VIP rooms were.

Leone squeezed Francesca's hand. "I guess that didn't go into my head right away... We should talk about what we will do later." Francesca nodded in agreement. As they both sat down with a drink together.

Astrid went over to one of the VIP rooms she sat up for a few guests, she placed her finger over the door handle and then proceeded to enter.

"Ah, it truly surpassed my expectations... My lady." Inside, Mr. Bagna was sitting at the table with two cups of tea.

"I thought you gave up having expectations? Didn't I surpass all of yours originally?" Astrid went to sit down at the table, as Mr. Bagna's assistant closed the door behind her.

Mr. Bagna chuckled. "Of course. But I must congratulate you anyway. I now understand your grudge with Mr. Yuke, if you felt comfortable releasing your entire family's identity then something must be happening soon right?" Mr. Bagna was no fool, how couldn't he add up such a simple deduction.

Astrid sipped the tea and lowered her eyes. "Sure, to think such a foolish man managed to control my family for so long... Makes me sick at my stomach." Astrid then gave a sinister smile.

Mr. Bagna blinked, then that smile had disappeared. In which he only sighed in response.

"I see, I seem to have learned something new. You have some twisted thoughts running through your head. You also have power from the Italian mafia. I also saw some Japanese Yakuza here today. Let alone building a business from the ground up... You have built an impervious empire in a mere four years... What is your goal in all this?" Mr. Bagna asked, as Astrid leaned back in her seat and crossed her legs.

Astrid chuckled. A sickening chuckle that seemed to be distorted with bloodthirst. "What do I work for? To keep away the boredom. I am free in this world. I will NOT turn into a doormat in this world also." Astrid said, as she slowly pulled out a pistol from her blazer.

"President!" Mr. Bagna's assistant shouted, before feeling a cold nuzzle hit the back of his head.

"No matter what my wife wants to do, I will follow her. She will follow me on my journey, so keeping away boredom is necessary." Lewis announced, as he pressed the gun against the assistant's head with more force.

Mr. Bagna sighed and closed his eyes. "Silencing me huh... I guess I know too much." Mr. Bagna thought he had played the game correctly, but it turned out he stepped on a landmine unknowingly.

"Of course you do, but there is another who knows much more." Astrid said as her finger curled around the trigger.

*Poof* Mr. Bagna... Didn't feel any pain. Opening his eyes, he saw his lifeless assistant on the floor instead...

"I won't apologize, this man is actually a spy from the Russian army. The small tattoo on his arm, along with his gun, and background check on his proved it all." Lewis calmly said, as Winoa entered the room with some black gloves.

"Sorry to trouble you again. Check the DNA of this man to the general under Jukovic." Astrid then slowly put the gun back into her blazer holster.

Mr. Bagna took a deep breath, he thought his life was over then.

"Of course our best business partner would know more about us then others. So then, shall we talk business now?" Astrid had an elegant smile on her face as her assistant picked up a dead body behind her.

"O-Okay." Mr. Bagna wasn't a steeled murderer like Astrid and Lewis, but he could still keep his cool in front of such pressuring people.

"Your son, Brad Bagna. He doesn't have a wife yet right?" Lewis asked as Winoa carried the body outside in a black bag.

"No... Why?" Mr. Bagna was confused, this was the business they were going to talk about?

Astrid hummed with a smile. She then reached on the other side of her blazer pocket, and pulled out some paper. "Here is a proposal for a contract. This isn't between us and you... But instead between my personal assistant and best friend Winoa, and your son, Brad."

Mr. Bagna took the piece of paper, baffled. Opening it up, he then saw the first few sentences and felt his eyes widen.

"Wha..." His hands shook. This was what Astrid wanted? He couldn't believe just that in a million years...

"As you can see, Winoa's signature is at the bottom. It has been discussed thoroughly. Ultimately though, it is your son's choice. But do remember, while I won't kill him. I will get what I want no matter the cost." Astrid smiled as she leaned into Lewis's arm.

Mr. Bagna sighed. It seemed Astrid was dead set on this idea of hers... But it still was strange.

"It might be strange in your eyes, especially since there will be no marriage. But for Brad, this might be perfect. He is under a lot of pressure to have another heir for your family correct? And he seems to want to find the perfect woman, but he still needs that heir. This will give him the opportunity for that. And also give Winoa a child to train to be her successor." Astrid was very calm in her words about having children.

Mr. Bagna was silenced in amazement. He also knew that his son seemed to be holding extremely high standards, hence why he wished for him and Astrid to be introduced. But if something like this contract existed... It would take off a lot of pressure for him.

Mr. Bagna then slowly read through the contract, unlike Astrid's business proposals. This was extremely short and to the point, it also directly pointed out the conditions set for both parties. And even had protection written into the contract set to be used in a court battle...

"This is very thorough... I will ask Brad on his return... Are you the 'informant' he once mentioned to me?" Mr. Bagna then asked as he put away the letter in his pocket.

Astrid laughed. "Informant? Doesn't your son work for MI6? Do you think I have that much power inside the police network as well?" Astrid asked with amusement on her face.

Mr. Bagna closed his eyes, he couldn't read Astrid. Was it sarcasm? Or her admitting to it? Either way, he knew how dangerous this woman was...

"Hmm, sorry to spoil this banquet for you, but we will now take our leave. I will call someone to serve you for the rest of the night." Astrid smiled as she stood up, Lewis holding her hand.

"Boredom huh? Being royalty sure is tough." Mr. Bagna sighed quietly after the door closed. As he took out the document and read it further.
