Class had just finished up, and I rushed out. I was so glad it was over. I wanted to see Issa, and admittedly I was also really hungry.. I pass by Ageha in the hall. She had ditched class again from the looks of it. "Oh! (y/n)!" She quickly stops me, grabbing my arm to keep me from going anywhere. "Issa was just looking for you. He told me to tell you if I saw you to meet him on the roof."
"What..?" I ask, but I simply nod. "..Okay."
I make my way over, which luckily wasn't far from here, but I'm a bit worried. I travel the last few steps before grasping onto the door handle. He was waiting, just on the other side. I was nervous. What did he have to say to bring me all the way up here? It was probably just to let me finish what I was going to say. It made me a bit happy to think he had noticed how nervous I was. And being up here was quite therapeutic when you thought about it.
I push the door open, "Issa!" But he wasn't there. And from the looks of it, no one was. I step further before glancing over my shoulder to see him.
Leaning over the railing. His mop of brown hair faces me as he gazes over the school. He turns his head back to see who of all people has dared disturbed his peace. "Funny running into here," Luke chuckles slightly, sending me a calm smile. He doesn't seem surprised at all, but it's genuine still.
I point back towards where I came. "I-I'll go.." I would just wait down there for Issa. "Sorry for interrupting."
"Wait." I want to keep moving, but I freeze in place. "Why don't we talk? How have you been?"
I try to shy out of the conversation, "Good." One step closer to the door. He seems to notice.
"Alright, alright. I'll get straight to the point." His blue eyes hold mine for a long time. "Come back to me."
"What?" I feel myself tense up. I did hear him wrong, right?
"You heard me." By now he's next to me, taking my hand in his, "I want you back."
I can't believe this. Why? And why now? "Do you know how many months it's been?" I hiss. 'Long enough for me to get over you.'
"I know, I just can't stop thinking about you. Please (n/n).. I love you.." How dare he call me by that nickname and tell me all this?
"No, I'm sorry." I tell him, putting my fists up defensively.
"What?" He sounds pissed. "What's the problem?"
"I'm with someone else right now, it's too late."
He brings his face dangerously close to mine, "Admit it, you want me back too. Wasn't he just a rebound after all?"
"Does it matter?!" I screech.
"What are you guys talking about?" And Issa's up here.
