Chapter 2: Darshen meets Keisen

"He is such a useless young master; he should be sent to the branch family." People are murmuring so loud that even the young master of the household can hear. Darshen is the young master who is hailed as the genius of his generation but because of the incident 10 years ago he is comparable to a trash now. He cannot even demonstrate perfectly a simple spell. 10 years ago, the Earth's atmosphere cracked like a dimensional crack and a beam of light hit Darshen which eventually crushed his achievement in magic.

Darshen finds his father in the meeting hall to ask for permission because he wanted to leave and venture out. He is thinking that maybe his magic will return if he is on an adventure and have a life and death experience. The elders of the family have all agreed in his decision. They wanted to get rid of him. His father wanted to decline but he is so persistent so his father said yes.

"Son, you have to be careful out there. There are a lot of strong monsters lurking in the dark. You have not recovered yet and you can even barely cast a simple magic." Darshen replied and assuring his father that he will take care and he will not risk his life. He just wants to experience the outside life as an adventurer.

"Be sure to kill him. We need to get rid of him so that we will have a chance to rule the family." An elder of the family wants to assassinate Darshen when he goes out. After two days, Darshen packed his things and venture the monster region. He is feeling excited because this is his first time to venture the monster region on his own. This region is where he has lost almost all of his magic power. One of his reasons leaving the family is to find the reason of that year's incident.

Darshen made sure that the monsters will not notice him. He is just on the Outskirt of the monster region. He makes sure to note how the monster produce magic and wanted to learn. One day when he was picking up some fruits, he has not noticed the presence of a fire lizard. This monster is considered as a level one monster but for Darshen, it could be dangerous. This monster is three-foot tall. Darshen did not realize that he has entered the territory of the lizard and it is too late to run. All he could think is to fight it but he has no chance of winning. A level one monster is comparable to a level 3 magician. The fire lizard open its mouth and a ball of fire come rushing forward to Darshen. Luckily he has evaded it but the fire lizard produced a bunch of fireballs and cast it to him. Darshen gambled his little magic and created a water shield. It saved him but he can barely hold himself. He has burn on his right arm and right foot. Thinking that he is about to die, he casted an earth spell (which he accidentally read in their library) that pierced the thick skin of the fire lizard and killed it. All of his magic is gone now and he is so exhausted. He layed on the ground and catch his breath. He is happy because he manage to kill a level one wizard in his weak state. When he almost close his eyes, the assassin appeared before him and stab him in his heart. He felt the pain, the blade that pierced his heart. The assassin throw him in the hole on the middle part of the outskirt region of the monster region.

The body of Darshen falls in the inner part of the hole; his blood flowed like a stream of river. Before his dying breath, his blood covered a peculiar marble and Darshen is sucked in it. The space in it is filled with thick magic. His wound heals and his magic is recovered to a level one magician. He was dumbfounded of this happening. He cannot believe that he is alive and even recovered his magic to level one. He immediately stand up look at his surrounding. The scenery is so beautiful however the space in it is not wide. "It is a small world. Where is it?" He was talking to himself. He bathed himself on the spring and went inside the house. He was looking for the owner of the house but no one is there. He found clothes in there and wear it.

Darshen wondered why the surrounding has not turned into dark; it should be night time. Inside the marble is always day. So many days have passed outside but Darshen can no longer count the days because it's always day inside the marble. He decided to look around the house if there are interesting stuff in it. In the corner of the living room, he noticed a vault and out of his curiosity he opened it. Nothing picks his interest but a book with a weird cover made him wonder what is its content. When he opened the book, all he saw was an empty book. Nothing is written in it but as he was about to close it, a paper made a little cut on his finger and a little blood is dropped on it. A beam of light gushed from the book and the letters began to appear. Darshen was shocked and could not believe the magical event.

As he read the first chapter, it taught him how to improve his magic. So Darshen sat down, close his eyes and feel his connection to the surrounding. In the book, it says that when you establish connection with nature a stream of different colors will appear. Blue for water element, brown for earth element, green for nature, white for the wind, red for fire, purple for lightning, black for dark magic, and yellow for white magic. However, not all magician can connect to all these elements. At most, there are two to three elements a magician can connect to. It means that when a magician meditates and connects with his surrounding, a certain stream of light will appear which he has potential of nurturing however Darshen was dumbfounded when all lights appeared. "Does it mean I have the potential to practice all elements?" Darshen ask himself. Time passes by and one by one the lights disappeared untill the green one is left. Darshen was dismayed because he thought that he could master all the elements but it was just a wishful thinking. He was considered genius before because he was tri-elemental magician; he has nature, earth, and water but now he only has nature.

Darshen has made a connection to the nature element and look for nature magic spells in the book. The first nature magic he practices is the plant growth. After practicing it to the fullest, Darshen no longer needed to find a tree and pick a fruit. He only needs to chant the spell and a tree will grow and bear fruit immediately. He treasures the book so much because it has magic spells that are not known in their world. He continued studying nature spells. Time passed by and he already mastered the vine grip, nature shield, nature weild(in this spell, Darshen can create sword, arrows, house and others), and lastly the nature healing. There was a last spell that he cannot cast, the Nature Destruction because of the level restrictions. Darshen is now a level 12 magician that is comparable to a grand magician however the spell can be casted if he can attain the saint level. There are still two levels before reaching the saint level; he should achieved the king and emperor level first. He can no longer stay in the marble so he finds ways how to get out. A few hours later, Darshen felt a strong aura of a magician that is way above the saint level. He cannot move his body. He wondered why a magician of that level would appear in this little world. In front of him appeared a tall man with a fair complexion and can be mistaken for a woman. This man has a pretty face, a perfect noseline, a red heart-shape lips and white hair. Keisen made his first appearance to Darshen. He was awake long ago when Darshen's blood activated the marble. He was excited to see a man who has same potential with him. When Darshen connected with his surroundings, Keisen wanted to appear in front of him but he decided to watch the growth of Darshen. He made sure to hide his existence so that Darshen will not be bothered in his practice.

Keisen looks pretty and young that instead of feeling frightened Darshen is awed. However, he cannot move his body because of the pressure coming from Keisen. "Junior greets senior" Darshen said. "May I ask what brought senior here in this small world?" Keisen replied that he owns this small world. Darshen was shocked upon hearing this. He immediately apologized for using the magic in this small world as well as using the Ultimate Magic book. Keisen said that he was grateful to Darshen for activating the marble. If not for him, he doesn't know when will he be awake. Keisen shared his story as the stongest magician in their world and how he arrived in a foreign world. He said that before sleeping, he unconsciously casted a space warp and landed in this world. Thinking about it, it was that incident when Darshen's magic power is reduced to a lower level comparable to a trash. It was Keisen who caused his magic depletion. Keisen did not tell that Darshen has the potential to practice all elements. After sharing his story, Darshen also shared his story especially when he was hailed as a genius until the incident that turned him into a trash. He also shared that he was assassinated and coincidentally was thrown where the small world is. He wanted to get revenge but he cannot get out. Hearing this story, Keisen felt sorry because it was him who caused Darshen to become very lowly and mistreated in the family. So he asked Darshen if he is willing to become his master. Darshen was shocked because an unknown magician whose magic level is unknown asked him to be his disciple. Darshen was so high spirited and he said yes. Keisen cast a space spell and they went out from the small world. Keisen took the marble and hid it in his space ring. A space ring that has unlimited space. No one in the entire world can create such space ring.

Keisen asked Darshen to venture out the inner region because he wanted to test the improvement of Darshen. In the inner region, monsters in level 4 that is comparable to a grandmagician and level 5 that is comparable to a kingmagician reside. Darshen hesitated at first but thinking his master is with him, they went to the inner region. As expected, strong monsters appear. As soon as they arrive, they meet a level four earth ape. This ape is so strong that it can crush a boulder. When the ape casted earth spell Falling meteor, Darshen casted nature shield to protect himself. Vines sprung out from the ground and created a circular shield as Darshen cast the spell. He then cast nature wield creating big swords to cut the rocks. He casted the vine grip since the ape is off guarded then he killed it with his nature wield (arrows). Keisen was awed by Darshen's readiness in battle. He is not mistaken to take him as his disciple. His potential is limitless and he is truly a genius. They have encountered many strong monster in the inner region and Darshen have fought them all. He even defeated a level four water toad. When they arrived at the center most part, Keisen felt a strong power and he asked Darshen to retreat however it was to late. A level 5 monster appear. It is comparable to a king magician. It is fire in nature so Darshen's magic is weak against it. Keisen used water element to fight it. It was the first time Darshen saw his master fighting. When the monster breathes fire, Keisen used the ice ground to decrease the magic power of the monster. He then used water creation( arrow and spear) and killed the monster in a blink of an eye. Darshen cannot believe what he saw. A strong monster is killed in just a click.

After the fight, no monster would dare to face them so they collected all the monster cores of the monster they killed. When leaving, a monster in the core region is awakened. This monster cannot be labelled yet because the strongest monster ever known in the land is half step level seven monster.

Darshen asked his master about the spell he used. Why did the monster became weak? Keisen replied that he used a zone where the caster will have an advantage to the enemy; weakening the enemy's magic power and granting the caster a boost in power. This can only be casted if you are very strong. Darshen thought of when can he do it. After asking, Darshen asked his master to go back with him in his family. Keisen agreed but he wanted to ask Darshen about the magic system of this world before appearing in his family's household.

Darshen explained that there are phases in magic. The color represents a magician's element. Dark colors are for lower level magicians; primary and secondary colors are for grand magician; light colors are for king and emperor magicians; white are for saint magicians. There are no accounts that tell a magician who is above saint level. The lower level magicians are levelled into 1-11, after that level is the grand magician. In their family, the strongest is emperor magician and that is his father, while the elders are at the king level; some of them are waiting to breakthrough to emperor level.

Hearing this, Keisen hides his level and make it seem like a half step emperor magician. Along their way, Darshen ask the first group of people they met what day is today and what year. Darshen realized that he has been away from his family for four years. He is now 19 years old.

They arrived in the Cavly city where Darshen's family resides. His family is one of the strongest family in the city because his grandfather has stepped on the saint level. In the city, Darshen sell some of his monster cores especially the level three monster cores and earn a lot of money. He then treats his master to a shop and bought clothes for nobles; then they eat at a famous restaurant. A level three monster core is worth one thousand gold so they have a lot of money because he sell ten three level monster cores. In the restaurant, a young master of renowned family is causing trouble. Darshen does not want his master to see such kind of immature people bullying weak ones so he casted nature grip and a vines envelopes that young master and Darshen throws him out of the restaurant. "Who is it? Who did this to me? Don't you know that I am the son of the patriarch of Doney family? I am Jofed and our family has two saints." Darshen stood up and said "can you shut up? It is I who did this to you because you are noisy and it makes me lose my appetite."

"So it is the useless young master of the Crove family. Long time no see Darshen! How are you? I heard you were kicked out from your family. There were also rumors that you died in the monster region." Darshen could not believe that he was rumored dead. He holds Jofed's collar and lifted him asking him why was he rumored dead. Jofed replied that his pendant was found but his body wasn't. He thought that it was the assassin who took his pendant when he stabbed him. "Thanks" Darshen said and throws Jofed. Jofed was boiling up and created a fire ball of level 7 magician. This level of magician is nothing compared to Darshen so he casted nature shield and tied Jofed with his vines. These vines are sturdy and fire magic of low level magician can do nothing to it. Darshen is already a grandmagician so he is not intimidated at all.

A presence of a strong magician is fast approaching. "Who hurt our young master?" A guard of the Doney family came and saw Darshen. He asked him if he is the one who hurt him. A strong little fire dragon was casted by the guard. Darshen immediately used his shield however the spell is strong, his shield wad burned and he was hurt. This guard is already at the king level. "I am not his match." When the guard casted another little fire dragon spell, a little water dragon clashed with it. Keisen appeared and said to stop bullying his disciple. The guard was afraid because Keisen is almost at the emperor level. "Junior greets senior. It is just a misunderstanding. We will now leave." The people around couldn't believe that the Doney family retreated. They were wandering what level is Darshen's master that the Doney family retreated.

"Fuck it. Darshen is already a grandmagician. I thought I am already a genius. Who said he died? Such a false information." Jofed couldn't accept it; he wanted to beat Darshen. His guard said that they could not offend his master because it's already a half step emperor level. " Huh! Only a half step Emperor and he is boasting? I will report it to grandpa."

Darshen arrived at their house and his parents are waiting for him. They have heard his arrival and have prepared a banquet. They are so delighted that their son is alive. His parents sensed the aura of a strong master so Darshen introduced his master to them. They welcomed Keisen with open hearts in their household. It was the first time aside from Darshen that someone talked with him without feeling fear. When they entered the household, Darshen and Keisen can feel the animosity of the people. "Why did he come back? It's better that he died in there. A trash will always be a trash." Keisen heard this and was triggered. Out of his anger, the clouds darkened as if series of lightning will descend. "Master don't mind them. It doesn't even hurt me at all. I grew up with their hurtful words." However Keisen was still mad and said something to the people in the household in a loud voice "whoever talks ill to my disciple will lose his life." People are whispering and a loud voice is heard saying "who does he think he is? He is just a guest in our household." After saying this, a strong lightning volt hit that person and died. The people are shocked. An elder of the family approached Keisen and told him to stay out of it. He is just a guest. Keisen said that out of respect to the patriarch he will not kill him however if said another word, he wouldn't mind even if he is an elder. "Who do you think you are? You are just in the king realm. We are on the same level." Keisen said "would you mind sparring with me elder?" The elder casted a strong wind tornado spell to Keisen then Keisen countered it with water tornado. He then released a whale attack (it is a high leveled spell; the whale is formed with concentrated water magic. When the target is hit, it will create a big explosion of water.) The elder casted a wind shield but it's not enough. The elder is defeated so fast and people around them cannot believe their eyes. After the encounter, no one can be heared talking ill to Darshen.

Darshen thought about finding out who among the elders wanted to kill him and exact his revenge on him.
