Dreamstar Corporation and Apollo Corporation

Even though Shelly gave him a good news, Alex didn't seem happy about it in the slightest.

'This is bad.' Alex thought.

Alex looks down at his desk and started thinking about different possibilities.Shelly who was confused by his silence also ponders about it and quickly understood Alex's thoughts.

"Apollo is interested in us." Her eyes widen with realisation.She sat down in front of Alex and puts her elbow on the table and rests her forehead on her palm.

Why is it a bad thing for us that Apollo took interest them? It's simple, they most likely want to consume the company and make Dreamstar into one of its subsidies. Once the companies start to cooperate, they can slowly infiltrate the company and then take over it.

'Or else why would they want to cooperate with a company of this size.'

There are other possibilities too, such as the internal dispute between the heirs Lunet family who owns the Apollo Corporation. If it's the former, then it would be very difficult to survive as entire company is focused on take over and if it's the latter, then only a part of they company will be involved and they too will not put all their efforts as they have to guard against others inside their company.

'It's most likely because we grew too fast' Alex thought. Under his leadership, the company expanded quickly and now it's not a small company newly build by his father-in-law but a decently sized one.

"Let's hold a internal meeting then." Alex said.

"Okay. I will inform the staff."

Shelly replied. She got up, patted her cheeks and put on her game face before going out. Alex looks at his computer and starts to collect information about Apollo Corporation. Which is not that fruitful but it can gives him a general idea to deal with this matter.

'Every company has it's internal struggles let alone a giant like Apollo Corporation.'

Apollo corp. owned by Lunet family which is one of the top 3 families in the Whitehill City. They are mostly involved in the entertainment industry. They are now trying to advance into the real-estate and manufacturing industries. The head of Lunet family, George is now 79 years old and will be turning 80 in 287 days. Why do we have a timer for his birthday? It's simple, George had announced that he will pass on his chair to the heir of the Lunet family and distribute shares of Apollo Corporation.

This move of his has intensified the internal struggle of the family. Everyone is picking sides and young heirs are trying to accomplish glorious feats. George has three sons, Mark, Paul and Ben.

Mark has one son Steve.

Steve has the largest popularity because of his looks, he has successfully picked many outstanding talents for their company. They all have become popular celebrities which proved his insight and with the help of the PR department, he has become the dream man of many young girls. Steve has been exposed to the company since a young age so he has a lot of influence on the employees.

Paul is a actor himself and because of his passion in acting, he didn't manage the company when he was young so he doesn't have many connections inside the company. The saddest part is that, despite his looks and strong backing in the industry, he has mediocre talent in acting so he was only 'somewhat successful'.

He has a son and a daughter. They are twins. Micheal is immensely talented, he has successfully taken over many companies and he offset the disadvantage of not having enough connections through his efforts. Marlene is talented, she has won few awards in music, she graduated from a prestigious college and is currently working as Micheal's assistant. She pales in comparison with Micheal. She has gotten quite a few proposals due to her outstanding beauty but she doesn't have a fiancé arranged by the family which is due to Micheal's protection.

Ben is the most mediocre among George's sons. He wasted away his youth as a prodigal. He has a daughter who is married off to one of the families under Lunet family. He had been introduced to gambling by Mark and got addicted. He sold his shares given by his mother before she passed away; to Mark to pay off his debts. George is very disappointed in him so he doesn't have any influence in the family. Marlene would have followed that same fate of being married away if not for Micheal's protection.

'Micheal was the one who asked for the meeting, which means that Dreamstar corp is his target. He most likely wants to pioneer into this industry and build a foundation for himself as Steve has dominated the entertainment side.'

Alex searches for his information and also looks at his pictures.

'Cold and domineering' this is what comes into Alex's mind when he looks at the information. 'But something feels off about him.'

"Alex, the staff is ready for the meeting." Shelly enters the office and informs Alex. She looks composed now but Alex can see her nervousness form the fact that she didn't knock the door. This is to be expected as she would be the first to be demoted if Apollo takes over. They need to put their person on her chair for an easy takeover. Alex is somewhat safe because of his shares.

"Alright. Let's go." Alex gets up and walks toward the meeting room.

He walks into the room with Shelly and looks at everyone's joyful faces. They are obviously happy at the thought of cooperating with a big company. This is to be expected as they don't think that the company will be taken over and if they know it then they might even encourage Alex to join Apollo. For them joining Apollo as a subsidiary gives them a chance to jump up to the main company and advance their career.

After he sits down, he observes everyone's faces and concludes that the Vice-president is the one colluding with Micheal.

'It's high time to throw this bastard out.' Alex thought.

Normal people cannot draw such conclusion easily but Alex can do that because of his soulless eyes. A bystander sees more than the one involved.

Evan John, a blonde and somewhat handsome man is the the Vice-president of the company and he was in that position even before Alex married Lia. When Alex's father-in-law retired, he had the highest chance of becoming the CEO but Alex's existence crushed his hopes of both becoming the CEO as well as marrying Lia. He was interested in marrying her to get her property. For that reason, Alex did not promote him to President but gave the role to Shelly who had just joined the company despite objections from the Board.

Shelly is one year younger than Alex and Lia. She was their junior in college and his friend from high school so they were convinced of her personality and talent. The former president also retired after Alex's father-in-law and when abroad.

John's gaze right now did not contain only happiness for working with a big company but also there is a slight mocking look towards Alex and a possessive desire towards Shelly. He probably thinks that if he cooperates with Micheal for take over then Micheal will promote him and demote Shelly and then he can use various means to make her submit.

With Alex in the company, he could not use unspoken rules to abuse female employees in the company which he used to do before Alex took over.

'Interesting....You want to ruin MY LIA'S COMPANY...I WiLL DeStROy YoU.' Alex's eyes contained a hint of craziness which went unnoticed...
