Steve's eyes had focussed on the words he had seen in the gathered data and he began to read with a fast pace. Skimming through the words surrounding that one piece of information he had found. What he had managed to discover was nothing other than Harold Richardson's location. He was just a few blocks away from them at this very moment and planned on being there for just one more day. He had come to town because of his nephew, whom he had entrusted with the task of taking pictures of Noah and Olivia. He probably predicted that some problems might occur and he decided to stay close in case his nephew needed help.
This nephew was the only child of his only sister. Since he had no kids of his own, he cared for the boy like he was his own son. There was no way he would let him get harmed. If not for his sake, then for his sister's sake. With his parents passing away at a young age in an accident, he had become both the brother and the parent of his younger sister. So, anything that harmed her, would hurt him as well. Maybe even more so than if he had been the one getting harmed. For that purpose, he would put himself in danger by coming to town like this, if that meant that his nephew would be safer. For the safety of his own blood, he ignored all warnings that Olivia gave him and he came out, even revealing his location to her over something as unprotected as a smartphone.
Make no mistake, he had no come without any protection or preparations but there was also no doubt that he was more vulnerable here than if he was in his own turf. With him being here, it meant that his company at Laila and Noah's home town would be less guarded. By attacking his territory now that he was away, they had the most chance at doing the most damage. If they combined this with tightening the reigns on his nephew, Harold would be forced to pick what he would protect. With the odds being high that he would chose his nephew, they would be able to deal a big blow to his business. Weakening him in the process. This however did mean that they would be angering him even more. Risking his retaliation. So, they needed to do this as carefully as possible, without too much delay. Otherwise he would be back home and another opportunity would have been missed.
But this was not all. Not only had Harold been uncareful enough to share his location. He had also revealed the location of his business. Confirming that he was indeed rebuilding his company and tricks at Laila and Noah's hometown. Though he hadn't told the exact location, he had talked about the general area where he had built up shop. Considering the size of the town where Laila and Noah had grown up, this narrowed down their search by a lot. If he gave this information to his buddy that was working on this matter, they could have his company details by tonight.
Finally Noah was done with his email and Steve could tell him the news he had already texted to his buddy, so he could start looking into the matter and confirm if what he had discovered was accurate or if Harold did not trust Olivia either. Feeding her lies to gain her trust.
As soon as Noah closed his laptop, Steve said, "Are you finally done? Because I have some big news to tell you." Noah chuckled and nodded, before he said, "Have at it. The floor is all yours." With a serious look, coming across as a bit anxious, which he certainly was, Steve said, "I know where Harold Richardson is, right now." Noah's eyes widened and a bit dumbstruck he said, "What do you mean you know where Harold Richardson is? I mean, what? How?"
This is when Steve explained what messages he had found in the data he had gathered from Olivia's phone. Though he had been certain that something useful would be among all that data they had recovered over the past few days. He had never expected it would be an exact location to the man who was posing the biggest threat to them all. Judging by the look on Noah's face, neither did he. Suddenly the evening they had spent at Olivia's house, seemed like the best investment he had made. The return had been so big, that even if he had to go there every day for a full week, to obtain this kind if result again, he would. Despite Olivia being an enemy, she was proving to be a very useful ally without even intending to be or being aware of how useful she was to them.
Without Steve having to tell him, Noah knew that this was information they needed to act on fast. Now that they had decided they wouldn't be sitting ducks and would go on the offence, they needed to make good use of opportunities like this before it was wasted. So, he asked Steve, "What are we going to do with this information? Are we certain it is reliable? We need to make use of his absence and strike him where it will hurt most."
Nick smiled, happy to see that his friend shared his thoughts and said, "I have something better in mind. How about we hit him at both fronts. That way at least one blow should land and cause some damage."
Noah seemed intrigued and said, "What do you have in mind." After which Steve began explaining what he had done and what he planned on doing. They would be having a couple of exciting and dangerous days ahead but they hoped that the result would be worth the investment. It was their do or die moment. So, let's find out if they would be victorious in the end!
