With max handling the matter of James and Andrew, it was time for Noah to do what he had promised and he made his way down to meet up with the bodyguard and the shadow. As he made his way down, he made a stop on each floor, where people no longer seemed to be surprised to see him but were just happy and pleased to know that he was well. This was because word always travels fast in a company and so did the news of him being at the office. By the time he had reached the top floor, the first person had already posted about him on their work chat. Telling everyone that he was doing well and that Steve was doing well too for the circumstances.
Noah was happy that they had shared the news like this as it made his visits to the other floors a lot more efficient. Especially on a day where time had somehow moved so slowly yet had too little hours and too much to handle. On those days, almost any type of way for him to gain time was a welcome one. In just a little over thirty minutes he had managed to get from the top floor to the main floor. This was also made possible because he had used his executive elevator. By not using the general elevators, he didn't have to wait for the elevator to arrive. He just blocked it with his access code and that made it stay on the floor he was on. The elevator would wait until he would scan his badge and press the next button and this would continue for the next floor and the next.
It wouldn't be until when he typed in the release code, that the elevator would stop 'following' him like that and other executives would be able to use the elevator again. But along with him and Steve there weren't many people that had access to the executives elevator and only and Steve had a code that could block the elevator like this. The others purely had the benefit of not having to share the elevator with a group if they were pressed for time or if the regular elevator was too full already.
Finally Noah had reached the main floor and he went through the taped door which had been closed for restriction. But Noah had a feeling that neither the shadow nor the bodyguard would be concerned about a bit of tape and would be waiting for him there. Especially considering his car couldn't be moved as it too was part of the crime scene. For that reason, they had filmed the entire process so that they could still be able to prove that the bomb that they would dismantle and remove had once been in his car.
Although they had a lot of evidence against Harold already, the more evidence the better at this point. Noah wanted a case so strong that he could put Harold behind bars for life. Anything that could risk achieving that, was a risk he wanted to remove from the equation. That is why Noah had told the shadow and the bodyguard to ask for permission to handle the evidence the way they were and they had gotten permission from their boss at the secret service agency. He told them that if the police or the court would make trouble out of that, he would talk to them and take care of it. After hearing what had happened and the type of scum Harold was, their superior had looked into his case a bit more and became interested in having him behind bars as well. So, he didn't mind throwing his weight around to get things done the secret service way.
When Noah walked into the elevator leading to the garage and pressed the button to take him to the floor where everything had happened, he started to feel his anger boiling up again. Being with his team and seeing everyone so pleased and hearing what they had managed to do in their absence, had made him forget about all the nastiness of the situation for a bit. But now that it had become time for the serious portion of today's matters, his mood started to change along.
Shortly after Noah had arrived on the garage floor and he began walking on the concrete, he spotted the two people he was looking for. They had jumped behind one of the many stone pillars and showed themselves when they saw who it was. They greeted him in the same formal tone that they had started their acquaintance with. "Mr. Stephens. Good to see that you are finally here. Is your friend, Mr. Branson, well?" Noah nodded with an unchanging serious expression on his face as he continued to walk in their direction. "Yes. The operation finished and he woke up from the sedation. The doctors expect him to recover fully." Then, after a short pause, Noah added, "But, as you can imagine, Steve being fine does not mean that I will simply forgive and forget about what happened here today. So, please tell me what you discovered after I left."
