My bed, or yours?

Anthony and Rebecca were still sitting on Anthony's bed, with Anthony looking at Rebecca with a a look of bafflement. He couldn't believe what was happening right, nor what had happened earlier. Not only had he kissed Rebecca, she hadn't gotten upset or shied away from him, but was currently in the process of calming him down. HIM! Of course he knew a day like that would come at some point in their relationship, but for it to come so soon and at such a crucial moment.

Although Rebecca was being brave in her own way in this particular moment, just like Anthony had been before, she still couldn't bring herself to use the word kiss. This progress in their relationship was welcome, but still sudden, and required some period of adjustment and acceptance on her part. But Anthony didn't mind that at all. In fact, he didn't even notice her avoidance of the word. All he could think about was her calling herself a willing participant, and of course, her lips.

His eyes were shooting back and forth between her eyes and her lips. Choosing between kissing her once more or just staring at her eyes in admiration. In the end he chose the previous over the latter, but not before announcing his intentions this time, in order to give Rebecca an opportunity to reject. Although she would have to be fast, if she wanted to have a chance at doing so, because Anthony was moving as he spoke. In a now confident voice, matched with a seductive, desire-filled look in his eyes, Anthony said, "I am going to kiss you now, you can stop me if you don't want it."

The moment that last word left his mouth, his lips had already reached Rebecca's, and any opportunity for protest was lost. Rebecca was taken off guard by this second kiss, attempting to mumble a 'Wait', but being silenced before she could utter the entire word. Her eyes widened the moment Anthony's lips touched hers, but soon enough she closed her eyes for a second time that night and it wasn't to go to sleep. This time both she and Anthony knew what was going on, and neither of them thought it was a dream, although it did feel like it, by how good they felt in that moment.

When their lips finally did part, both of their eyes containing a somewhat glimmer in them from the state they were in. But Rebecca changed their half dazed stare and pulled her eyes away as she cleared her throat from the shyness she was still feeling from all that was going on. After a forced cough she said, "Yes, uhm, well, I think it is about time we go to bed. It is past midnight and neither of us are thinking very clearly at the moment, so we should go to sleep before we do anything foolish."

Anthony wanting to tease Rebecca a bit, decided to continue off of the suggestion that was hidden in Rebecca's words, as to where this evening could go if they didn't stop now. With a smirk on his face and a voice dripping with sarcastic innocence, he said, "Will you be sleeping in my bed, or will we be using yours tonight?" This however earned him nothing more than a sharp glare from Rebecca, as if telling him 'Don't push it' and making it very clear what her answer was to this question. Neither.

Anthony raised his hands in surrender and said with a slight chuckle, "Alright, alright, we will sleep in our own beds." After Rebecca turned around, he softly added, "Sheesh, and then they say that men are perverted. You should get your mind out of the gutter. I never said anything would happen. All I asked was where we would be sleeping." This earned him another glare just as Rebecca opened the bathroom door, which caused Anthony to become startled as he didn't think she would hear it, despite whispering it hard enough to give her a chance of catching his words. His body reacted on a reflex, and with a frightened expression he leaned back a bit, resulting in him bumping his head against the wooden headboard.

Now that his attempted joke had turned back on him, it had become Rebecca's turn to laugh. With a bit of smug smile she said, "That's what I thought.". Making it clear that in her case too, kindness should not be mistaken for weakness. As she could cause quite a bit of damage with her small frame. Something that Anthony knew far too well from their earlier days. But more importantly, both of them laughing after their kiss, broke the awkwardness that had started creeping in after Rebecca had turned her face away. With that their second day had come to an end and the third, and also final day of their trip to Anthony's hometown, had begun.
