Chapter 6: Humans

Day 10

*DING*

has evolved into

Purple was pleasantly surprised by the creation of another skill, which was probably the result of his later actions as Purple was able to quickly pick off a grub before any of the others noticed. The new skill he picked up three days skill also finally levelled up, so the oldest brother would be able to more accurately direct to his siblings. He also noticed the evolution of his skill into which he was keen to try out. After all, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to test it out on the first meal they had since arriving in Dulunus.

The four brothers were sitting around the campfire, eating their meal, when Purple came up with the idea to start a fire and cook some food.

"Brother, I'm hungry and tired!" Blue whined as he lay around the campfire. The dragon has been complaining all day, and it was getting on Green nerves. "Can we not eat until you have done something about the fire?"

"I'll do something about the fire after I've eaten," Purple replied. "You're just lazy."

"Lazy? No way, I work harder than anyone here! You know how hard I work every single day in my cave. I only sleep when I'm too exhausted to move! So what if I'm tired now? I'm still working as hard as ever!" Blue's voice grew louder and angrier as he went on.

Green smacked on the head with his tail. "Stop yelling, you idiot. We're trying to eat food here! Not listen to your blabbering. If you want to eat, then shut up and let big bro do the cooking."

"Fine..."

As soon as Green turned back. Like a lion hunting after a zebra, Blue lunged at his brother and hit him like a small, vicious mammal. Green cried out, and they tumbled onto the ground in a tangle of limbs.

The two immature brothers started to wrestle while the mature ones watched them with amusement.

Purple looked on; a bit worried, but decided to stay out of the fight. He was enjoying his meal, so he didn't really care who won.

"Such foolish siblings, right brother?" Red asked as he ate whatever this thing was. The fire dragon was pretty sure it was some kind of mammal. It tasted like chicken.

Purple decided to stop this fight and spit out his web. Man, being a dragon was weird. It's only been 15 days since they all hatched, and he and his brothers are still weirded out at being dragons now.

"You guys are idiots," Purple said. "Why don't you two eat now instead of playing around?"

The two kept on fighting as they ignored their oldest brother.

[Κάνω εγείρουν μου-όπως το όνομα. Και είναι σε θέση να εργαστεί σταθερά!]

Purple, Green, Red and Blue heard unfamiliar language with their dragon ears. This stops Green and Blue from fighting anymore. Instead, they all focused on listening to the strange voice.

"Eh? What the heck was that?" Blue asked. "It sounded like a cat just saw Donald Trump and went gaga over him."

"Who is Donald Trump?" Green asked. Shrugging, Blue does not know who the man is either.

"Oh, it doesn't matter. Let's focus on our strange voices." Purple said. "Does anyone know what language is or what it was saying??"

"Oh, because I know weird languages that I never heard before," Blue replied.

"Don't sass me, little brother, " Purple warned his brother, showing his fangs.

Backing off, Blue decided it wasn't the best idea to tick off his oldest sibling. He doesn't remember much of his old life, but he knows that Purple will kick his ass if he continues to be a smartass.

"It seems the direction of the voices is 300 feet away from us. Northeast," Green said.

The three looked at their brother in shock. They never heard something so smart from him. Even he used to be human back in their old lives.

"How are you able to determine that, bro?" Purple asked.

"I can hear the sound waves bouncing off the trees and stuff. It's pretty easy to tell where the sounds come from, and there's only one source." Green explained.

"Wow, that's amazing," Purple said, impressed. "Well anyway, let's slowly stalk the noise source, don't they anyone see you?" Purple said. "I'll take the lead."

They crept through the forest, following the sound waves coming from the northeast. After a while, they reached a clearing. There was a giant tree in the middle with branches spreading out from the trunk. The ground beneath the roots was covered with leaves. The sounds were coming from underneath the tree.

"Is it a person?" Blue asked. "Or maybe a monster hiding under the tree?"

"Let's check it out," Purple said. "We need to get rid of the mystery before something tries to kill us again."

"Yeah, we should investigate it before something bad happens," Green agreed.

"Alright, spread out and stay hidden... remember we are dragons. That means we are monsters and humans and other races hate monsters." Purple reminded his brothers.

"No problem, bro," Red said confidently. "I'll take south."

"I got north," Green said.

"Westside baby, here I come!" Blue shouted excitedly, then paused. "Whats Westside?"

The four brothers carefully approached the mysterious tree. As they got closer, they could smell smoke. They also see three people.

Purple sees the owners of the voices seem to be a young boy, a young girl, and an old person.

The young man seems to be having fun while the young girl is scared, and the old person seems to be a modest person.

"What's going on?" Purple whispered to his brothers.

"I think they're just messing around," Blue said. "That kid is probably just playing around with fire and stuff."

"He is right," Green said. "This is nothing more than some kids playing around with fire."

"But why did they build a campfire here?" Purple asked.

"I don't know," Red answered. "Maybe they wanted to have a bonfire for a birthday party or something?"

"I bet they are bored," Blue said. "They must be bored from staying cooped up in their village all day long."

"So what do we do?" Purple asked.

"Let's go back," Green suggested.

"Wait, let check me their info before we leave..." Purple said and look at the group of humans with his dragon's eyes. He couldn't understand their speech, but he could read lips and body language. Not sure why he can read their body language, maybe it was a skill he learned from his past life?

"His name is Baz and his race 'Earthling - Human'... 'Earthling' I'll suppose that's because he is a human who lives on earth?" Purple thought as he looked at the stats of the human boy.

Turning back to his little brothers, he informed them. "It seems those three are maybe adventures or monster hunters or whatever and since we are no longer human, that means we don't mess them."

"Are you sure?" Green asked. "I mean, they might be friendly towards us and stuff."

"No way, bro. That guy looks scary, and I think he wants to hurt us," Blue said.

"How so?" Purple asked. "He is a human and we are dragons, so he wouldn't be able to hurt us."

"Oh yeah, but he is talking to himself while staring at us with his creepy red eyes."

"What!?" Purple, Green and Red exclaimed.

"Yeah, I can see it too," Blue added. "He is looking at us like he wants to eat us."

As soon as Blue said the old man took out a wizard staff and pointed at the four dragon brothers. Merciless. His eyes just look at me disinterestedly, as if they just were prey.

From the back, a bright light shines, making the brothers reflexively close their eyes. At that moment, they all felt an intense hot sensation go inside their bodies. It was painful, burning, but strangely enjoyable. Then, the pain stopped, and they opened their eyes.

[Resistance Skill [Magic Resistance: Lv1] was acquired]

The brothers have almost no memory of their old lives, but they have learned how to fight. They are getting skills now. Although, they still have a lot to learn about this new world and their abilities.

Green got up and glared at the old man who stares in shock at how minor damage his spell did them. Soon Purple, Blue and lastly Red got up from the spell as well.

Only Purple was the calm one.

Before the three could attack them, humans. A loud roar was heard. Suddenly, the earth shook and an enormous creature appeared from underground.

It was a massive black dragon. It had two heads, each head was a different colour. One was grey, and the other was black. It was a very large dragon, bigger than any of the brothers. Its wings were folded and its tail was curled up. It was wearing a crown on top of its head and carrying a spear in one hand.

It roared again and charged at the brothers.

"Run!" Purple shouted.

They all ran away from the charging dragon, dodging attacks as they tried to escape.

The black dragon was relentless in chasing after the fleeing brothers.

"Why the fuck does a dragon have a spear?!" Red shouted.

"I don't know!" Purple replied. "But it is definitely not good! We need to get out of here!"

"I think it's time to use our special skills!"

"Fuck no! You keep fucking running!" Green shouted.

After a few minutes, the dragon thing was still chasing them. It doesn't want to stop until they are food. After another thirty minutes, the brother ran into a bog with dense trees and swamp water that smells like that undead. The dragon was fast approaching.

Purple had to come up with a plan to kill this thing.

"Where the hell are we?" As soon as Green demanded that a text appears before the brothers.

[You have entered Skull Swamps] The brothers read it out loud.

"Skull swamps? Oh, that sounds lovely... so tell me, what is the Skull Swamp almighty dude or dudette who appeared as text." Blue said sarcastically.

[It is a long-forgotten place, frequently shrouded in a fleshing eating fog. The area is shaped like a skull. Carved stone reefs surround it, made to resemble faces crying out in anger and pain, and is crisscrossed by an enormous stone wall and covered with jungle-swallowed ruins that are countless generations old, which are all that remains of an unknown, ancient civilization.]

"A skull swamp! How cool!" Red shouted excitedly. "I love skulls!"

"We are going to die!" Green shouted. Then he looked at Red in disbelief. "How are you excited about this death trap of swamp?"

"Shut up! Shut up!" Purple shouted. "We have about minutes before that thing shows up and tries to eat us! So let me think of a plan!"
