Chapter 39: Illusion and Heading Back

Back at Qian Renxue's room.

Qian Rexue lay on her bed, thinking about certain things.

"Grrraa!!!" Suddenly a loud shout came from beside her bed.

"Hyaa!!" Shocked, Qian Renxue directly jumped like a frightened cat and glared at the figure who dared to scare her.

"Ahahahaha." An extremely satisfied laugh came out of Nian Zhen's mouth as he looked at Qian Renxue with a blush on her face.

"You...Stop Laughing!" Qian Renxue shouted attacking Nian Zhen only to get caught by him.

Immediately her transformation was undone and what lay on Nian Zhen's arms was the most beautiful girl he had seen.

"I never get tired when I look at your face.." Nian Zhen whispered softly, causing shivers to run down in Qian Renxues tender body.

"L-Let go.." A sound as small as that of a mosquito came out of Qian Renxues mouth.

Letting her go, Nian Zhen casually sat down on the table and started to eat the fruits kept on the basket.

"Ahem...So why are you here?" Qian Renxue asked, composing herself.

"Hmm...Oh I came to say that I will be going to Spirit hall after a while. If you want to know the answers, come there. Dong'er will tell you directly." Nian Zhen said.

"Hmm...So you are going now?" Qian Renxue asked.

"Yes, but first I have to go somewhere else…" Nian Zhen said, with an extremely sad and lonely look on his face. This was really a real emotion.

After a few day's was the time for Nian Zhen's parents death anniversary as well as his 14 birthday. It had been 9 years since his parents died.

"...Well, I have some personal matters to deal with. That's all i have to say. And by the way, look out for Hongchen. He may be more dangerous than you and I think." Nian Zhen said as he patted Qian Renxues head and disappeared from the room.

"Linghun…" Qian Renxue whispered, touching her head as she felt Nian Zhen's hand warmth still lingering there with a blush on her face.

At the residence of the Blazing Academy, Huo Wu was in her room. Her mood was unstable after losing to Tang San. Her pride and dignity had been shattered.

As she remembered that, suddenly a figure clad in white robe and mask appeared in her thoughts.

Shaking her head to get rid of Nian Zhen's figure, she looked towards the window, only to see the same figure there.

Thinking she was seeing Illusions, Huo Wu wiped her eyes only to see the figure had gotten closer to her.

Jumping off from her bed she stared at Nian Zhen, now dressed as Hongchen. A flash of hatred appeared on her eyes.

"Why are you here? To mock me?" Huo Wu said coldly.

A dry laugh came out of Nian Zhen's mouth. This girl was too short tempered and arrogant. Sitting down casually on her bed, Nian Zhen looked at the fuming Huo Wu.

"So, what was this little girl thinking about? Your boyfriend?" Nian Zhen said.

"Hmph. This young lady doesn't have time to deal with men. Go out." Huo Wu snorted coldly.

"Hmm? Then what about your sweetheart Feng Xiaotian?" Nian Zhen said with a hnt of mockery.

"Him? He is not worth my time. Why would I even bother with him?" Huo Wu said.

"Hmm. Then did you not promise him that you would go out with him?" Nian Zhen asked strangely.

"Are you sane? Who will promise him that? Who said it to you?"

[Host it seems she didn't promise him like we thought she would.]

"Did someone change the story again?" Nian Zhen thought.

"Uh...This...Huo Wushuang told me." Nian Zhen said slyly.

[RIP to Huo Wushuang.]

"..." A black line flashed across Huo Wu's face.

"That Idiot...Does he think I would do that." Huo Wu said in anger.

"Calm Down, girl. Anyway, you should be frustrated that you lost right?" Nian Zhen asked with a sly tone.

"Hmph." Huo Wu snorted but did not refute Nian Zhen.

"Well it was your fault. You should know that in a battle pride doesn't do even a single thing. No maybe it does. It makes you go blind and makes you underestimate your opponent. Though even if I said this you wouldn't give a damn about it, so…" Nian Zhen suddenly appeared in front of Huo Wu.

Instantly taking off his mask, Nian Zhen opened his eyes and put Huo Wu in an illusion. It was so fast that Huo Wu was unable to grasp Nian Zhen's face and what had happened to her.

Catching Huo Wu, who had fallen in his illusion, Nian Zhen carried her and laid her down on the bed as he disappeared in the night.

Moon Pavilion, Tang Yuehua's room,

A beautiful woman lay on her bed, breathing steadily with a slight smile on her face.

At that moment, a figure came inside the room out of thin hair.

"It was a nice idea to add a teleportation mark on her hairpin." Nian Zhen said.

Looking at the beauty sleeping peacefully, Nian Zhen slowly caressed her cheeks. A gentle smile flashed across his face. After sending some of his energy to her body, Nian Zhen thought.

"This will awaken her soul a second time."

Nian Zhen had left a clone to act as Hongchen in his stead and told the clone to not interact with others too much when he is gone and be alert.

Enron, who had been updating for at least 5-6 hours now, finally booted as Nian Zhen headed towards the extreme north.

Landing and finding a suitable space, Nian Zhen said, "Yes"
