Chapter 13: Gameplay

In the middle of some arcade store were two people gathering a crowd of other gamers as they see a legend in the making happening in their eyes.

For this game Chiaki has all of her shields down while Jason was the same however, he was creeping on her with his energy sword and plasma pistol on hand.

Chiaki on her part is crouching shown on the screen trying to bide her time to get a clear shot in against Jason.

As she continues to crouch down as she moved her gamer instincts told her to run and to her credit is correct as she managed to avoid a plasma shot from Jason as he pointed his plasma gun at her.
Jason then began to shoot a barrage of plasma shots at Chiaki as she ran away as fast as she could but the damage was still connecting while her health points were getting lowered.
In real life, Chiaki is desperately looking around the main hallways on the map to find an item to help her, 'Come on where is it… I know it respawns here where is the… bingo the shield refill pack come to mama.'
Chiaki just managed to get the pack as she sighs in relief seeing that her defenses are restored but when her guard was down, she saw Jason Spartan around the corner as she began to quickly flee the area.
*Pew**Pew**Pew*
*Blast**Blast**Blast*
Multiple attacks were aimed at Chiaki as she tries her best to avoid the damage from her recently recovered shields and waiting for her health to restore herself to have a fighting chance.
Chiaki seeing the despairing situation ahead of her kept her hopes up no matter what happens next, 'Ok I managed to avoid Jason long enough his bound to run out of ammo of his plasma gun soon I just have to get to the weapon respawn point then…'
*BOOM*
That was all the chance that Chiaki could think of at that moment as a rocket-sized laser pointed managed to drain her of all of her shields energy and damaging her health in the process as Chiaki saw a weapon change on Jason's Spartan.
Before Jason could come in for the final kill with his energy sword as he was continuously pressing the hit button Chiaki managed to get away in time for her to use her pistol in her person to attack Jason with what little chance she had left as she also threw grenades at him that managed to hit.
*BOOM*
*Swoosh*
Just as Chiaki managed to get some hits in Jason manage to survive with the tiniest health bar he has in the red as the energy sword managed to pierce through Chiaki Spartan's armor dropping her health into zero.
Chiaki seeing this was shocked for the first time that someone beat her in a video game as she saw the GAME OVER screen on her end as she thought to herself in disbelief, 'I… I lost… what is this feeling of joy. Is it because I can try to improve myself again?'
As the games were over Jason came over to Chiaki's side from the other end of the arcade machine as he grins at her, "Now that was a fun game Chiaki! Seriously I have never been pushed this hard before I mean this is fun playing games with you."
Chiaki couldn't help but blush in embarrassment at the compliments thrown her way as she nodded her head in agreement, "Yeah it has been a long while since I lost to Halo. It feels refreshing to have lost that means I have to improve right?"
Jason gave her an odd expression as he spoke out what was on his mind, "What are you a Shonen anime protagonist or something?"
Chiaki puffs her cheeks at that as she counters back in a slightly angry tone, "No I meant as a person and what is a Shonen you speak of? Sounds like an anime or manga company?"
Jason sighs at this as he talks to Chiaki in a happy tone, "Eh, don't mind I figured you wouldn't understand it anyway. So, you up for another round again?"
To that Chiaki shook her head no as she responded to Jason in a tired tone, "No thanks as much as I would like to I have school tomorrow and more time to train to defeat you in a game."
Jason getting curious asked the obvious question as he asked her in a curious tone, "Really what school do you go to anyway?"
Chiaki for her part winces at that but then returns to her smile as she spoke out again with more confidence, "Honestly I stayed at the new Neo's Hope Peak Academy with the new management being my old homeroom teacher as principal I just know things will change for the better and…"
Chiaki whispers the last part to herself but Jason managed to hear the response as his eyes slightly widen at her words, "…I still have things I want to do. I wanted... ...to stay classmates with everyone. One... One more time... I wanted... ...to play video games... ...with you Hajime…"
Jason seeing that Chiaki is depressed tried to change the atmosphere so he sticks his tongue out in a playful manner as he nods at this while replying to her, "Sure thing Chiaki but be prepared to lose the next time."
She merely puffs her cheeks as she began to leave the arcade as Jason though amused at what he saw before him as he thought, 'Man she is really cute in person and in the anime I'm jealous that Hajime was able to befriend her except that he no longer exists anymore…'
Pausing briefly, he thought to himself in self regret for his actions as he thought in a sad tone to himself as his mind briefly recalls Chiaki's expression, 'Fuck… it was my fault that Hajime got killed… if my actions carry that much of a consequence of getting someone else killed because of my greed I have to take some precautions to make sure it doesn't happen.'
Taking a glance at the open night sky Jason thought to himself in a determined tone, 'I have to make sure as to not make any careless mistakes the next time. This first world is the first time I made a few mistakes, but this will be a reminder that I can't be careless as I was the first time around.'
Moving away from the rustling crowd of people in the city he began to play with his bracelet to search for the people he was coming here for.
Shaking his head of those negative thoughts Jason returned to what he originally intended to do when he had come back to Japan.
Looking at his bracelet as he began to open up the hologram touch screen, he sees that his Alter Ego managed to find where Junko and Mukuro were living in Japan in an apartment building as he began to move forward to their destination of an isolated building that seems to be guarded by a group of people.

A few months back when the despair sisters couldn't find out where Jason was Junko gave up on the subject as she was busy trying to fill despair in others.
As it happened in canon Junko by chance found the

This is seen in Danganronpa Zero when she can sense the incredible strength hidden inside Makoto even while currently having the amnesiac persona of Ryoko. This is also seen in Danganronpa 3 when she similarly senses Makoto's potential.
Thus, by following the events to a degree Junko manage to barge into Ryota's workroom as she managed to find out about his video brainwashing using lights and tricks to make it happen as Junko absorbs all of that knowledge into her brain.
Thanks to her talent she managed to retain and learn how to brainwash other people however, never had a chance to test it out because of Jason's wrench in her plans although unintendedly as it was in the grand scheme of things.
Since the news of the school that was involved in human experimentation was brought into the light as well as a few other incidents hidden from Hope's Peak Academy a majority of students transferred out or quit the school once the evidence confirmed what the school did.
Wanting to make sure that the students don't want their futures to be dragged through the mud they immediately cut all ties to the school and such person was Mikan Tsumiki and the

Currently at an apartment building with people with blank looks on their faces as Jason approaches their destination as he observes the area with a critical eye for detail as he openly introduces himself, "Hello there everybody I was hoping to meet the Despair Sisters Junko and meet that cute girl Mukuro again?"
That was when they all charged at Jason into action once those words have been said as Jason merely sighs in boredom already foreseeing this far ahead, "Good grief, and here I thought I would get easier. So much for that."

*Bam*
*Swoosh*
With quick swift movements of his body, Jason views the normal people around him as if they have slowed down but in actuality, it was Jason seeing this with his abnormal processing speed that he moved that fast.
Each strike was aimed at the neck as they were quickly disposed of making sure they are knocked out from each hit with little to no effort in each hit as they were all calculated into the plan of attack.
Just as Jason was done with his final brainwashed prey with quick movements…

That was when multiple rounds of guns rang out in the area with Jason quickly avoiding them but they managed to land on the people that were unconsciously killed at the spot making Jason widen his eyes at his carelessness.
As he made some distance away from the scene while the sight of bloodshed should have frightened him, he thanked that the project that still allow some of his emotions especially fear in particular was sealed at the sight before him.
Calming down at the scene Mukuro looks down as she glances at Jason as she kept a calm cool of her head as Jason began to observe the scene…

Reaching for his bracelet Mukuro didn't allow to give Jason a chance to fight back but fortunately, enough Jason's bracelet for his Prime-Model Armor was faster to form the Iron Man armor as the bullets ricochet off the armor.
Mukuro was for the first time alarmed seeing Jason come out in mechanical armor as he spoke in a smug tone, "Whew now that could've gone bad. Now then miss Mukuro the

Raising his arm pointing to his repulsor blasters in the palm of his hands he fired it at Mukuro as her years being with an elite mercenary group based out of the Middle East known as Fenrir, a fierce group of soldiers who engaged in direct combat she dodged the attack as it destroyed some of the structure of the building.
Mukuro looked at Jason with her eyes widen as she saw a mechanical hand about to reach her as she jumped up in the air to avoid being caught but…

It was already too late as Jason managed to grab her by the ankle as he dragged her down as lightly as he could considering a serious punch from his is equivalent for a normal human head to pop wide open easily.
Mukuro was pinned down as she tried to escape suddenly metal rope began to emerge capturing the girl in her tracks as she tried to break away but to no success as she was successfully captured.
Jason took his time grabbing Mukuro as he motioned her to walk towards Junko with a cheerful voice as he spoke, "Now then missy it's time for you to show me the way to your younger sister. It's time that I and she had a talk."
