Chapter 39: Lesson

Back to the reality of the situation Nine's was returned to normal but that was when his body automatically shut down on himself.

The reason why was AFO overused his puppet's body already with the constant use of quirks as his body's cellular structure began to further digress as he used his quirks. With his body shut down, Jason saw a golden opportunity to get the quirks that has been kicking his ass for the last few hours for himself.

But he made another rule using on Nine's body to make sure he gets the quirks without the need of AFO interfering with him. He had more than enough bullshit for the last few hours as his body was already at complete exhaustion.

Using quirk he managed to obtain all the quirks from Nine's body as he felt the massive boost from the quirks power and boost them further thanks to the OFA quirk as a bonus.

this quirk allows me to absorb any kind of energy known to man. Kinetic, electrical, thermal, nuclear, and so much more.

provides the user the ability to convert their morale into physical energy and stamina.

allows the user's body to function on very small amounts of nutrition and hydration, as well as allow them to process without much sleep.

allows the user to increase their base physical strength, speed, size, or anything about them to the amount of x 10.

is a Quirk that allows the user to increase the amount of kinetic energy the user can create and can release the kinetic energy into their actions by releasing a large shockwave once used up in their body.

allows the user to increase the damage output of the user's attacks.

allows the user the ability to stand on and control the air around them, granting them levitation.

quirk allows the user's body to change, shift, and adapt to any conditions around the user.

All of these quirks were now in the possession of Jason Bourne as he felt himself to be less tired as he was originally thanks to the he took from Nine's body. Then looking at the body Jason used his to destroy Nine's body leaving no trace of him to be rebuilt.

Next, he splats down on the desert sand completely exhausted from the big fight as he spoke to Alter Ego in a tired tone, "Sigh… now that could've gone a bit better than I expected… ow… I still feel the pain in my organs and bones being shaken up like that."

That was when Alter Ego berated Jason for being so rash in his decision with his fight against Nine's body being controlled by AFO, "Sir, even though you had the element of surprise on your side you sorry if I'm being inconsiderate right now. You got your shit recked by Nine with those quirks."

Sighing at that he knew what Alter Ego said was right but then he argued his side of the argument to his companion in his head, "Yeah, I get it already. I thought I had the edge against Nine's with the quirks I got to handle the issue and go for the win but I didn't expect him to not let me do anything… The one-sided beating I got was certainly something I very hate feeling. I'm going to feel that in the morning, but I did realize something through this encounter…"

Alter Ego getting Jason's attention as he responded in a depressed tone as he spoke with a shaky smile shown on his face as he spoke, "This fight has taught me valuable lesson fighting in MHA world that is no matter how strong I am now there is someone stronger than you. Hell, it wasn't even AFO himself only a puppet that beat the living shit out of me. And me getting this beaten up just pretty much hurt my confidence thinking I was invincible here because I wasn't… I could've died right then and there in that fight…"

Jason's voice then began to get shaky as he took his time to calm his nerves at the moment as he looked at the night sky above him, "I could've almost died there but if I didn't then Nine's would've attacked I-island with Manami and Fuyumi still there… Maybe if I wasn't around, I could've brought…"

Quickly shaking his head at the what if he dismisses it completely as he says to himself, "No the whole movies thing would've come anyway although those two wouldn't be in danger doesn't mean people would be in danger if I didn't appear in this world future."

Glancing once more on the open night sky Jason recalls how AFO managed to figure out close enough what Jason was to him. An outsider from the brief battle told him more than enough to figure out his conclusions with AFO's wisdom and experience.

Despite everything he learned from the Danganronpa world knowledge of everything human does it didn't provide him the experience and wisdom to fight like that. Jason could only frown at how different it was to fight someone more powerful and wise than he was.

Also, how different he was too normal people in the MHA world that he pointed out.

Jason thinking about the conversation of AFO he couldn't help but scrunch his face at the idea of his actions, "Here I thought I was doing everything correctly hiding pretty well, but AFO or anyone else as smart as him are around they would've noticed my lack of faith in heroes or how my mindset strays from the norm."

Going back to his past actions and to the current events to AFO thinking how Jason thought process was different than everyone else Jason couldn't help but agree with the villain as he speaks seriously when he first encountered a hero while taking Manami home, "Even thinking about the time when I first met All Might Manami gave me a confused stare expecting me to say something similar. I think I can see how AFO noticed my lack of reason or reaction to such topics. Shit… and here I thought I was doing pretty well staying hidden guess I wasn't."

Placing a shoulder over his suit's eyes a small tear fell from his face as he spoke in a depressed tone, "Even after all of this I almost died to a puppet specifically made to fight against me. I just have to get stronger for the next time I encounter such a problem."

Getting over his depression Alter Ego tried to word of encouragement as she tried to console Jason with positivity, "Sir… at least your alive to make sure you plan in the future. The very least you learned from this exchange be thankful that you can still live."

Hearing the words a smile soon crept across his face as he finally spoke out in a calm tone to her with reassurance, "Yeah… not many can say that they lived through an organized hit by AFO himself. But that just means I have to become stronger in the future. Thanks, Alter Ego I needed that."

Alter Ego on her part merely smiled at the screen inside his helmet as she began to speak to him in a calm tone, "Yes sir, after all, you created me to help you physically as possible as well as mentally in these scenarios such as these. Even giving me a choice function to do I'm just thankful that your alive sir."

Jason smiled at that as Alter Ego also informed him about the coordinates of I-Island, "Also sir, I have already gotten the coordinates for our room since the island is still moving. If we go now, we won't have to wait a while for me to make the math again."

Jason nods at this as he used to escape the area he was in before the police or military forces began to come over…

*Vroom*

Next thing Jason returns to his room again as he was now in his citizen uniform as he moved towards the showers, "Good god I reek of sweat and blood. I need to get myself clean before hitting the bed."

With that he went inside his bathroom to clean himself up in the showers as he began to wash his body from the blood-stained on his body from his mouth, he remembers what he achieved since he has gotten into this world.

Run-ins with villains and heroes alike obtaining powers that were once part of fiction. Remembering all of that could only make him smile as he looks at himself in the mirror alive and living.

Most people would have died and been given a system to help them out. Possibly even get wishes when they die in a new world or reincarnated with OP wishes. But here he is with a system with the only main function to travel to different worlds.

The hard work and risk of obtaining these powers without the need of his system only for traveling, no inventory, no OP skills, and certainly not invincible either against the world. That only made him feel more fearful as he shakes what the future lies ahead of him…

Yet there was the feeling of pride to be alive what one normal person could've died from what he endured. Of course, he still felt the fear and pain from the fight but here he was alive seeing a smile on his face in the mirror as he observes himself.

The smile of the excitement of a new journey into the unknown frontiers of new worlds for him whiter it was anime, games, novels, or possibly comics. It didn't matter he will prepare and plan with what knowledge he had to survive the new worlds in the future.

Giving himself a proper refresher on himself he began to go to bed and sleep to rejuvenate himself as he sleeps.

Currently in the morning as he wakes up and gets himself ready for the day ahead of him, he began to smell the fresh air as he breaths in the air, "Breath… ahh… now that feels better after a long day of a hard fight. I have to get stronger for the future ahead if I want to survive my next encounter with AFO. I have to plan the next time we fight."

*Knock**Knock*

Hearing knocking sounds on his door he hears the sounds of Manami through the door as she tries to wake up Jason from what she assumed to be asleep, "Wake up Jason! Hurry up and wake up or else you'll miss the free breakfast down in the hall of the building!"

Listening to the words of Manami he smiles at this as he proceeds to move forward to open the door as he smiles to his small friend, "Morning Manami, sorry for not waking up early. Also, did you say free breakfast in the downstairs hall?"

Manami nods her head in agreement as she motions Jason to follow her as she spoke to him in a happy tone, "Of course Fuyumi already went on ahead to get us a seat. Now then young man how about I show you where to find it."

Smirking at Manami's adult attitude despite being an adult made Jason laugh inside his head how he forgets that despite how small she was that she is an adult.

With that, he continued to enjoy his week with his friends for the remaining time during their stay before it was time for them to return to Japan.

Jason made sure to note to keep these memories of his travels to memory as these are the best moments of his life enjoying it with others as well as helping Melissa Shield develops her support gear.
