Chapter 51: New Challenger!

"And that is another knockout by the reining newcomer Jason Borne defeating Gido! With that, he earns three wins and no losses! Who will stop this guy winning streak!"

Not very likely but I'm open up for anyone to give me a challenge honestly? I got my second win by beating up Riehlvelt when they both lost their memories of any of my involvement but once they knew me, they came up to challenge me again.

Only this time I just used the basics of Nen and the advanced techniques on them as I needed some practice with my new Enhancer Category at 100% and Emitter 100% when I got them from those two.

I also only left the command to the two is that they forget anything involving me. With that, I began to leave the area as I got my win.

While I got back to the main hallway as I walk towards my room that was when I noticed Hisoka was just sitting there as I senses his malicious intention but was not directed at me. So we're at this point in the anime or manga but that means the boys are here…

Taking my steps towards to see what was going on I see that Gon and Killua are here as I am very surprised to see them here. Although it seems that Gon and his boyfriend seem to have gained their Nen just recently.

It's possible that they came here to get some money but now they reached the 200th floor of this place. But that was when I noticed the glare in my direction from Killua as Gon took notice of me.

He said nothing but that was when Hisoka laughed at the situation as he began to leave while stirring fire to the pot in the scenario in front of me, "Hahaha… well looks like one of them seems to have bad blood with you Jason~ Well then I'll take my leave and once again Jason thanks for screwing everyone for that license of yours bye~"

Walking away from the place I could give Hisoka the ultimate fuck you as I raised the middle finger at that fucker!

Killua seems to have a dark glint in his eyes darting at me as Gon seemed to have a dark shaded coloring in his eyes as he looked at me. Fuck now that Hisoka says that out loud it appears that the two of them are out to get me now.

But just because I don't like to make conflict with the MC of the world doesn't mean I'm going to back off now that Hisoka said those words to them. That guy just loves to cause trouble for me, doesn't he?

Glancing at Gon that was when he said something to me that made me dumbfounded as he spoke to me in his childish tone, "Hey mister I want your Hunter License. We'll bet for it in a match if I win!"

What the fuck?

Killua for his part just looked at me threatening at me as if I wanted to take the challenge of his friend maybe I was right on him being his boyfriend.

In any other situation, I would've said to fuck him off if only because of their parent's background that I won't be able to deal with. Killua is a Zoldyck and I don't want his reputation coming after me.

I don't know for sure where my strength level is at compared to a Zoldyck family member I don't know how I measure up to them considering their years of experience of assassination on their side.

Then there is Gon I don't know about his deadbeat dad but I'm not sure how to handle him much if someone were to tell him that his son died. But I know as long as I only go to fight and defeat Gon his old man wouldn't care much.

But considering I like to sleep a good night without an assassin trying to kill me in my sleep I smiled as I responded to Gon, "Hmm… ok but what exactly could I get in return for this then. I'm not exactly handing my Hunter License over to anybody if you don't have anything worth risking in return?"

With that Gon just looked shocked as he slams his hand on his palm of the other as he came to that realization making Killua fall in comedic fashion as he responded, "AH! Your right I need something worth of value to give up if you win!"

Seriously what the hell is wrong with this kid!

That was when I felt another pressure coming out from the hallway as I noticed someone coming out from there as I was surprised, he came here. The person in front of me was Kurapika himself as he came over with a slight smile on his face as he spoke to me, "Now that seems rude to deny his request, Jason. I mean you did disqualify them the chance for them to become hunters?"

Ah now, this makes much more sense now. Seeing that Kurapika is here all in good shape despite the malice in the area with other fighters I wanted to know one thing now to get the boys a straight answer, "Show me your Ten."

*SWOOSH*

At such a question the both of us released our Ten of our auras of our Nen as Kurapika and the two boys now noticed the aura and power gap between us. Their auras while new and impressive for beginners are certainly nothing to scoff at are impressive…

But their Ten is only like shallow water overflowing Gon and Killua. Kurapika is bigger than the two since he probably found a way to open his Nen faster without the training with Killua since I saw him left at the exam site a few months back but even then, it's still impressive for the normal standards at least.

But I'm not Normal.

My aura when I showed my Ten is comparable to the image of Gildarts as he was overflowed with his magic as he was dense the same was with mine own in that case but power-wise, not close since the only ability, I made was . Even then that ability alone creates a lot of control to use even difficult for me to use considering my natural Manipulation at 60%.

But the expressions on their faces surely changed as I saw Killua take a step back from me. At least that tells me that he thinks that I'm stronger than him that's good for him to back off but Gon is still the same.

Kurapika looked shocked at my earlier show of Ten to see how much the is difference between us is. But there is something I want from Kurapika and that is his Specialization 100% Category for myself.

I don't feel too bad about it either considering Kurapika is on a self-destructive path and the story didn't need him too much to change much. However, if Gon was that adamant about me fighting against him I'll simply return the favor that Kurapika did when he tried to goat me into helping him in the Hunter Exam.

I'm a very petty person when someone tries to piggyback me but it's not like I can hate the guy for doing so.

Smirking at the three I simply replied to them in a calm tone to Kurapika a condition under the name of a bet, "Hmm… how about we make a bet Kurapika? If you my blond friend can defeat me in Heaven's Arena-style fight, then I will give Gon my Hunter License and I'll in return some information exchange. Of course, that's if you win."

Kurapika was a smart one as he glares at me considering my offer. He is a smart character as he was quick to deny my request kindly as he spoke, "Sorry but you have something in mind other than some information exchange from me. I hardly think you would want something from me that – "

Interrupting him in a confident tone I replied to Kurapika as he froze on what I have on the info that a guy like him would need, "I happen to know plenty of the spiders you are looking for I even happen to know some of their abilities?"

That got his attention seeing his eyes burn bright red at that moment. If looks can kill, then Kurapika would have killed me a dozen times over at this point.

Surely, I like Kurapika as a character sure and while what I'm doing is pretty much underhanded to downright evil what I have planned but that was in the show that I liked them as for when their people are a different story. After what happened to the Hunter Exam these people in front of me are different from their media counterparts to some degree.

Kurapika was willing to let himself and his friends be in harm's way just for the sake of revenge sure most would argue he managed to get himself together before that happens but that was when it was shown repeatedly that he will take that risk for the sake of revenge till Gon, as well as others, managed to get his head straight again.

Plus, Kurapika was the only other person to have graduated from the exam to inform the two kids that I tampered with the exam I mean finding low-class star hunters is pretty easy for anyone that is a Hunter with access to Cyberspace.

That is the only way I'm certain that these two knew if it was Kurapika that gave them the info because I can be sure how Gon and Killua knew that I tampered with the second phase of the exam from him judging from their expressions from earlier.

But now he managed to bring himself down as he calms down on the situation while he spoke, but that glare is still on his face, "Tell me how much do you know about them!"

Simply sticking my tongue just to mess with him further I replied to Kurapika with a sheepish voice, "Oh I don't know? Why should I? To begin with, here, I have no real obligation to help you out but if you managed to win a match against me, I'll tell you what I know but that's if you win this bet to me first?"

Good thing I was right on the few facts I know from the wiki about Kurapika because if there is anything involving the Phantom Troupe, he will go into a blind rage to find them and that was what I was expecting from this version as well. He is prone to fits of uncontrollable anger should the memory of his clan be insulted in any way.

Guessing that naming the Spiders alone was enough to ignore my setup as he then began to speak out loud towards my direction as I kept a cool face, "Fine then! If it takes beating, you in Heavens Arena to learn more about the spiders then I will put my all in defeating you!!"

Looks like I might have an actual challenge against one of the main protagonists in this world now that I think of it? I never really have faced one of the protagonists in the worlds I have been through, haven't I?

The only thing I recall was only facing off against the antagonist in other worlds but never the MC of the story or their friends only befriending them. Huh?

I guess this will be a first for me then. Even so, I better bring my best while being limited to get the most, I can get from Kurapika Specialization Category.

But still, this is Kurapika I'm talking about here I should be extremely careful with this guy since his trump card is going to be his that alone will put him on a scary edge against me.

While he has all of his Nen Categories by 100% in that mode I'll only have Conjuration, Enhancer, Emitter, and Transmuter at 100% full use but even then I'll have my aura drain faster because of since I don't have my quirk to use.

However, if I can't even risk my ability or use how can I get stronger as I learn more. That was another reason why I created that Nen ability was also created to help my growth as well when I have to fight to get what I want as I learn not solely rely on power alone in a fight.

There is more than one way to win the game.

Good thing I never said what I wanted if I won if Kurapika were to lose time to set the day as I need time to get my abilities in order. With that, I speak to him in a serious tone directing the rules, "Ok then how about a week from now. We'll both need time to prepare considering I have already fought, and you need to cool your head to fight seriously. With that, I'll say good day to you."

With that I began to leave while Kurapika was calming down I have to make some plans to go against Kurapika. As a conjurer myself I know everything that he created from his chains but there is that to consider as my could also get stolen.

Hmm…

Looks like I might have to create a new ability or new conjured weapon to go against Kurapika in the case he tries to steal my . It's better to be safe than sorry.
