Chapter 67: Meet the Colonel Aoi
~Third POV~
A few hours have passed as the kids from another group abandoned one of their own as he was too occupied protecting his sister as well as trying to bring medicine to her to the best of his abilities.
This person who was 11 years old was another member family member of Miari his Shiho Kimizuki as he cleans off the tears in his eyes as he moves towards his former group base as a hideout.
The reason for Shiho stopping the trails of tears was because he needed to be strong in front of his sister. He was carrying only medicine or anything to him that would provide some help since the other kids took his rations for departing.
He couldn't show weakness or make Miari worry about him as he spoke with a hoarse voice as he was tired, "Miari doesn't worry your big brother will do anything to protect you and make you feel better. Please hold on…"
"That is quite the admirable will kid."
Being alert at the sound of the voice he quickly waved his head towards a teen or adult to him wearing a black suit with his shoes as his bright crimson eyes glowed brightly at the night while expressing an impressed tone.
Grabbing his knife Shiho tried to defend himself as he pleaded with his attacker hoping for him to be reasonable, "Please sir this is all I have. I need this for my sister!"
The person looking at him was expressing a frown but then switch's his mouth forming a smile as he went over rubbing the kid's hair praising him in the process, "No way I'm doing that to a kid. I am not a raider and even if I was, I'm not stealing from a kid. But I have to admit kid you're a very brave little guy doing everything for your sister I'm quite envious."
Shiho was caught off guard, but his senses returned as he backed away from the person in front of him as he continued rambling on, "But we're getting distracted here Shiho Kimizuki. I came here to pick you up your sister is very worried about your condition plus there's food ready."
Hearing him Shiho's eyes dilated in fear of what the person was talking about as he merely smirks motioning him to follow. Although Shiho didn't want to, he noticed that the direction was going towards the former base that the group he was in was heading to.
Quickly seeing that the person in front of him wasn't lying or not he went along ahead to see what exactly happened to his sister as he went past the stranger as he rushes towards the apartment building swinging the door open as he sees the scene before in a panicked tone to his sister, "Miari! Are you ok…"
However, what he saw stopped his voice in his tracks as he saw his sister all fine and well as she was eating waving her hands at her brother, she tries to hand him a bowl of freshly made rice with some nicely roasted meat as she spoke, "Big bro Shiho you have to take a bite of this food? It tastes nice since Jason was being very nice treating me back to being healthy again."
Hearing and seeing her alive and well Shiho was shocked that his sister is fine again. Tears were forming as his hard work was complete as his sister is alive and not in pain.
Coming towards the door and closed Jason soon appears as he responds to the young Shiho as he patted the kid while he speaks, "Come on kid. The meals are going to get cold if you stand around like that. Besides, it tastes good with others."
As he walks towards getting a fresh pot of rice with plates of meat on the side Shiho for his part looks at the stranger as he questions him as he gets his portion, "Why mister? Why are you being so kind while the others are…"
Words weren't needed as Jason understood what he meant as he replied in a hopeful tone to the kid as he spoke with defiance, "Are selfish and cruel? Yeah, kid, you may have got your reasons but please don't compare me to them. I won't do what they have become sometimes this world lacks good people to fight for the good."
Shiho didn't understand what he meant but nodded anyway as Jason shrugs at his actions as he returned to ask them something as he spoke, "Since you two don't have a place to stay for the time being. How about coming with me in my car to get you two to Sannomiya along with my supplies. Don't worry I have more than enough ok?"
Shiho was hesitating about that but Miari placed her hand on his shoulder as she nodded to agree as Shiho sighs agreeing to come along giving Jason a confident smirk.
With that they enjoyed the night eating food before heading out…

~Jason POV~
We all left early in the morning to take them to Sannomiya since the vampires are more active in the night at least leaving in the morning would force them back in their territories, but I digress.
Already getting a good head start in the day as the kids are sleeping inside the car I finally managed to return to Sannomiya but not without getting their attention of course and to my bad luck they are also here.
Great I have to deal with them here and worst I see Aoi in the group.
That is not a good thing seeing that Aoi is leading the group and I don't like her as a person and as the character for that matter.
Aoi is stoic, serious, and appears to follow his every order without hesitation, no matter how gruesome or how heartless it is. She also appears to have no qualms in killing, shown when she annihilated Seishiro's bodyguards immediately.
In Catastrophe book 7, Aoi has declared that her loyalty belongs to Kureto instead of the Hiragi family, even when she knew that her loyalty could get her killed.
While I got out, I already see the people already getting the supplies from the trunk of my car as I already told them to take it since they assume it was fine. I mean that was what I was originally going to do so no harm done really.
But I guess me being naïve came back to bite me on the ass seeing the soldiers coming towards my direction as Aoi along with I think it was Makoto Narumi squad, but I guess they are learning from how young they look.
Then again, I am around 17 years old now, so I guess I am becoming around that age to become an adult I think in most other worlds.
Returning to the important point at hand I see that Aoi appears before me as I see the Narumi squad coming behind as she tries to be friendly towards me as she spoke, "Hello their mister. You wouldn't be happening to be the person named Jason Borne the man with the technological armor?"
Fake.
Her attitude and shift movements of her body tell her off of what she was doing was acting now that I'm more aware of the humans here. Not going to fall for that once again shame on me once for that one.
But answering her question following her example using my talents of the

Clicking on my bracelet the soldiers were surprised to see that I activated the suit with a press of a button. However, I didn't reveal the fact that I can activate through thoughts do not contact I do not need them to learn how my armor works.
As they were admiring my Model Prime Armor, I can see that they were admiring the work and how fancy it was to their mediocre medieval weapons of choice. But the expression in Aoi's eyes reeks of greed seeing my armor I can already tell she will try to get my bracelet from me either by force or by deals.
While she was close to my sight, she began to try to talk to me with a fake tone of happiness me, "Wow! With your technology Jason you could help out mankind with your gifts!! If the people have said about your work is strong enough to destroy one of the Horseman of John in a few short blasts… Jason would you like to make a deal."
And there it was right.
Aoi then began to explain to me the pros while going on the angle to give me a hero complex saving people with my Model Prime Armor for the 'good' of mankind as she spoke, "Jason I'll be blunt about it your work could give humanity a real fighting chance. I'm Aoi Sangu a Colonel in the Japanese Imperial Demon Army with your technology you could help reclaim humanity's rise to power again as well as save others from this nightmare with your gifts."
You know she does have a talent for this speech trying to give hero speeches like this well except that I have pretty much gone through this song and dance before in the MHA world because of their propaganda.
This is something that won't affect me much now that I'm aware of human nature now. If I were naïve in the past, he would hesitate before declining an answer this time is a big no but how she does it makes it hard for me to decline.
There are many witnesses here and that could lead me to multiple problems for me in the future helping them out from their current problem of today…
That's assuming that's my only option here if I refused but why not milk this for its worth with a deal but if the JIDA are now actively looking for me and when Aoi returns to her master she will soon realize that they can just take from me instead of asking.
Humans can be arrogant when they have the power to back it up but right here I'll go with this answer as I finally told her, "Hmm… how about we make a trade. I'm not that confident lending you my armor without something in return. I know this is being greedy but I was wondering if you can tell me more about magic?"
Once I reply to that she seems surprised at first then began to think carefully as she narrows her eyes but then returns to normal as she began to speak cheerfully, "I understand sir. In fact how about I tell you more about the Japanese Demon Imperial Army in a more private secure area in Sannomiya."
In a more private area huh?
I have no idea what she's doing but I can guess as she wants to knock me out or give me an explanation?
Well, I nodded to her as the soldiers smiled at me being blind to what's happening here but at least this way I'll make sure to erase some memories of her as well as get away from here.
If I'm going to help this world then I'm going to need my base hopefully it will be done soon as I went ahead to a private area with Aoi inside my room that I was here for the first night I came into this world.
After that, she then began to explain to me why the JIDA would be essential for me to help them all with fancy words that it's for mankind or saving humans while killing off vampires as it would be ideal to work together.
See that would be a good idea if I was still naïve about the whole thing but I have another way for me to get magic as I spoke to her, "Ok Aoi but I still don't feel that it's right for me to join how about this? We play a game with a simple coin toss if I win then I get what I want to ask from you more about magics but if you win, I'll join no questions asked right?"
The greed in her eyes shined as I knew she fell into my trap now.
