Ryan was sitting inside the tree, tapping his claws on the tree bark every once in a while. He was thinking of how to cook the rabbit meat, he thought about eating it raw, but he threw that thought away. He wasn't used to eating raw mean nor did he want to get used to it.
'Alright, i guess i will have to be creative.' Ryan stored the rabbit meat inside the pocket dimension, Ryan wasn't worried about the meat going bad since he could control the time flow inside the pocket dimension. Divine art is something that is unique and could be controlled freely by the user, so stopping time wasn't an issue to him.
He pretty much knew everything about the Divine art he received, it was the same with other Divine arts that other people receive. It was a matter of how you use your Divine art, not a matter of how strong your Divine art is.
Ryan climbed down the tree, he jumped from branch to branch until he reached a certain height, then he jumped on the ground. Once he reached the ground, Ryan started to look for a way to start a fire.
He had the idea but he lacked the materials needed to start the first. So, he started to collect some dry branches, leaves, grass and wood. He was still in his monster body.
There was more than one reason for him to stay in the monster body. First of all, Ryan wasn't used to his human body, since he was an adult previously and his current body was that of a child. Second of all, he wanted to get used to his monster body more, therefore, he decided to stay in this body until he had a reason to go back to his original body.
'It's definitely not because i don't have any clothes to wear.' Ryan convinced himself as he finished collecting the materials needed. He separated them into different piles, he cleared a small area for the fire. Since he didn't want to burn the entire forest.
Not like he could, a normal fire won't burn a tree that was nourished by origin energy in the first place. It's not like he knew that, therefore, Ryan was being unnecessarily cautious.
After he cleared a small place, he started by putting dry grass, leaves and small tree branches.
'The moment of truth.' Ryan then started by grinding his claws together. Ryan imagined shadow's claws and tail-blade made from something similar to steel, which was why they had a metallic sheen to them.
As he kept grinding his claws, sparks started flew everywhere. Ryan came close to the pile he had ready and tried to light it up with the tiny sparks, it took him a few tries to get the result he wanted.
The little sparks ignited the dry leaves, Ryan stopped grinding his claws and started blowing on the fire. He watched as the fire grew up and started to add more leaves, branches and woods.
Ryan watched as the fire lit up and felt proud.
'Hmph, so what if i don't have any tools, i can start a fire all by myself.' He felt that he achieved a great accomplishment. although, it was just a fire, Ryan felt that he did something big.
As he watched the fire burn, Ryan gathered more wood and added them to the fire. And after a while, he got the rabbit meat out of his pocket dimension. Since he didn't have any spices or tools, Ryan used to most efficient way to cook at this moment.
He stabbed his tail into the meat, he did it multiple times until the meat was stacked all the way to the tip of his blade. Once he was ready, Ryan started to grill the meat.
He didn't have to do anything except to turn his tail every once in a while so he sat down during the process.
Soon, the fragrance of the meat spread through the air, and Ryan started to salivate. But he didn't eat immediately, he took his time to cook the meat thoroughly.
Time passed and Ryan felt that the meat was ready, and without hesitation he brought the meat towards his mouth and chomped down a big chunk of meat. Ryan didn't care about how hot the meat was and continued eating, he was able to eat the meat without troubles since he was a cultivator.
Ryan felt like crying as he ate the meat, even though he didn't have any spices or tools, and he cooked the meat in a simple way. Ryan felt that the meat was very delicious. Another reason why he felt that it was tasty was because he hadn't eaten anything for a while.
Ryan ate the meat quickly, he was like a starving beast as he ate the meat in front of him. And after he finished the first batch of meat, Ryan put more meat on the fire and waited. He felt that this little amount of meat couldn't satisfy his appetite so he decided to eat more.
As he waited for the meat. Ryan felt energy spreading through his body, he was surprised. He realised that the rabbit's meat contained a little amount of origin energy, he became excited and decided to use that energy to solidify his cultivation base.
In a few minutes, the energy inside his body was absorbed into his body. Ryan felt his cultivation progressing slightly and became happy. He felt that he could advance faster by eating the magical beast's meat.
He decided to change his plans, he wanted to recycle the whole body of the magical beast next time into system points. But not anymore, he decided to eat the meat and use it during his cultivation and recycle everything else for the next magical beast corpse that he is going to hunt.
While he was deep in thoughts. Ryan didn't notice the figure that was lurking around him, that figure was staring at the meat that he was grilling at this moment.
