The day they made their promise was one of the last days anyone from the camp spent time with Hook. Hook had been sneaking off at night for about a month or so now, Pan would watch him disappear into the woods night after night. Though Pan never understood why Hook was leaving or where he was going.
Pan tried to confront Hook about it several times but was dismissed every single time. Pan decided to stop asking after a few months, that's when Hook started to change. He grew more irritable and was defensive about everything. One night at the dinner table, one of the boys threw food, missing it hit Hook. Hook moved quickly, almost superhuman gripping the boy's wrist, tipping over the table as they both fell to the ground.
